Côte Muswell Hill

Staff were pleasant, food was very average. The special desert was really poor as if it had been made days before. Overall the blandness of the decor perfectly matches the whole experience. Several local pubs serve better food.

Good food, good and friendly service. My husband's sole was fantastic.

Everything was excellent from the moment we entered the restaurant to when we left.

We usually can rely on the consistent quality of the food but the steak and chips were not up to the usual standard. The meat was tough.

My family and I had brunch which was served quickly and was delicious. The waitresses were gracious and helpful. Definitely recommended.

Muswell Hill is my local branch - and also my favourite. I like the layout - plenty of space between the tables. The staff are very friendly and the service is always first class. The food is reliably good, of course, and great value. Couldn’t fault it. A bit noisy perhaps but that was because people were enjoying themselves.

Lovely service, but steak was horrible, hard to chew and cut, for one diner, and pork though tender, was a bit flavourless to both diners who chose it. Needed more sauce we both thought. All starters and puddings excellent. An enjoyable evening nonetheless.

The reception was friendly and helpful to a suitable table immediately on arrival. The food was of the usual high standard and the complimentary drinks were very refreshing.

Already shared but to reiterate- lovely personal touch. Flowers, confetti drinks special dessert. Felt looked after. When asked for managers name (muswell hill) she gave her team members names as well Simona, Anita and Tunde - made our anniversary- we were going to The Wolseley but glad we chose Cote.

Excellent choice on menus, I am always particularly pleased by the large gluten-free menu. Delicious food. Efficient and friendly staff. No complaints at all!

Another great meal at Cote today. We especially enjoy it there because of the lovely Simona who is very pleasant yet professional and always manages to create a really warm and welcoming atmosphere so much so it's almost our second home! This is in stark contrast to the branch in Sloane Square which we visited some months ago and which lacked the personal touch as we weren't made to feel particularly welcome.

Delicious poulet roti! Wonderful tuna carpaccio! All the August specials are worth trying.

I am a frequent visitor to Cote and use the Muswell Hill one more than most. Sadly last evening was not a good experience, I took two friends to dine at 8.15. The wait for the to take our wine order was about 15 mins, the wait to take our order was about the same. All three courses took far too longer to deliver, the duck was tough, the goujons tepid and my lamb stringy (but not all of it). The waitress was very understandable and we were not charged for our dessert or a bottle of wine so clearly there was an acknowledgment that something was wrong. The restaurant was not busy so I assume it was staff shortage which cause so many problems. This was the first time this has happened and will not put me off going but it was a very disappointing evening.

We have been here before and therefore as we do not live in the area if was the perfect choice for us. A warm welcome as we entered and were looked after extremely well and efficiently during our meal, which was absolutely delicious.

I visited Côte for dinner last week with a group of 7 people and everyone was very happy with the quality of food and service provided. Côte is high end chain restaurant that offers good value for money meals.

We had such a lovely meal tonight at Cotes Muswell Hill. It was especially good because our lovely waiter Edward , or I believe called Eddy by everyone, went beyond his brief by making our evening special and chased us down because my friend left her phone in the restaurant. Thank you Eddy, you are a star . Good luck in your future career.

Okay but no more than that. Service was slow despite restaurant being quiet. Food was okay, a bit sad looking and belonged in a different decade. My 73 year old mother thought it was great but I would make a point of not returning to any cote.
