Côte Newbury

As usual the service and food was excellent..we all ordered different meals and we were delighted with each of them. We needed to find a particular bank afterwards and the waitress searched on her iPad to find it for us. Above and beyond the call of duty.

Excellent as usual. Highly recommend the Gin and St Germain cocktails. Delicious. Staff helpful and smiley. Food very tasty, lots of choice and well cooked.

Disappointing new August menu with no omelette choice. Set lunch menu has increased in price but food still excellent. The service was ok but not as brilliant as it has normally been in the past

Excellent food, superb service, certainly one of the best restaurants in Newbury, been many times, all the staff must have had first class training, so good and so polite

We love the chicken and steak lunchtime specials but would like to see more choice. The service is great, the are staff attentive and being able to book online is very useful

Needed to ask for breakfast menu and found a hair in my drink. Food was good as usual. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla

Unusually we had to wait a very long time for our food as there was a mix up. The place was relatively empty so we were a bit surpy. We go there regularly and this isn’t our normal experience

The service was good, the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed - can’t ask for more than that can you!!

Had a delicious meal as usual and a lovely table by the window, excellent and friendly service. I took my grandaughter for a birthday treat she especially loved the dark chocolate mousse.

Lovely meal and service very attentive throughout our meal. Had the early bird offer and was really flavoursome food beautifully served, could not fault at all.

Yet again Côte Newbury delivered ! As I am a veggie some times the choice is restricted however the the peach crumble was really lovely came on the early bird offer

Early bird offer just missed today so had the mushroom crepes which isn’t normally something I would go for but was absolutely delicious really enjoyed it!

I'm a regular visitor here, lovely food as always although service was a bit slow considering it wasn't that busy. Celebrating my friends retirement and were given complimentary Kir Royal, a bonus!

We had delicious food with excellent service but rather o long wait for our main course Having lunch in Côte is always a pleasant experience as we always know it will be delicious and the menu varied

As always a quality breakfast served by friendly staff. We reserved our favourite table and had much the same idea as many people to have breakfast on a day that ended up raining vertually all day. Well done Cote, you never let us down. See you soon.

Very good meal and service was excellent. Son and granddaughter enjoyed their first experience of Cote. Will come again!. The Spritzers were delicious and we asked for the contents.

Excellent meal as always but table was near the kitchen and my husband had difficulty hearing our friends due to it being the busy end of the restaurant as I had booked a week in advance I had hoped we would have been near the window

Staff were very helpful. I asked for a dish to be adapted and they readily obliged. Food was delicious as always and in this hot weather the restaurant was comfortably cool.

Very tasty, good value meal, charming staff, nice ambiance and a perfect place for a lunchtime meeting between friends. The belly of Pork, plaice, seafood linguine all highly recommended.

Very attentive (but not 'pushy' service. The air conditioning was greatly appreciated, given one of the hottest days. My group of four chose the Prestige menu at lunch time and the selection was terrific. Our selection was brought very quickly and very nicely presented. I do like the way that all the food arrives 'in one go' and the table waitress places each dish before us. Our friendly waitress kept us 'topped up' with cold water throughout, which was just what we wanted. We will return next month for our regular meeting with friends.

Food & Service was very good, would like see a bigger range of beers and it was not possible to order a vodka Martini . However for a chain restaurant it is one of best

Until yesterday we had never been disappointed, however yesterday morning the service was very very slow. We stood a long time waiting to be greeted, although we had pre-booked. The restaurant was by no means full. When it eventually came, breakfast was well below normal standards. The French toast was soggy, we received no cutlery for the yoghurt or fruit salad. We were not offered more coffee. All in all, well below our normal experiences at Cote.

We had really good food and the service was great! One of our favourite restaurants in Newbury. We haven't been disappointed once and keep coming back.

Excellent food and service. Separate gluten free menu which is great for coeliacs. Would highly recommend, returning next week for birthday celebration with friends. .

We had a Fabulous brunch for my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

This time our experience was disappointing - our food was very good, however we felt that menus have changed and have been reduced slightly - obviously Cote are feeling the pinch like all the restaurants in the area. We hope that things do not deteriorate and lose yet another good place to eat.

Cotes was buzzing on Saturday night. The staff, as always, were helpful and cheerful and the food was excellent. The half chicken was cooked to perfection! Highly recommended.

The service was excellent. The pudding (apple tart), was completely soggy and stuck to the plate and Luke warm. Clearly a microwave job so very disappointing.

Great breakfast, arrived at 9 was sat eating my breakfast 5 minutes later and it is as healthy a cooked breakfast as you can have whilst still calling it a full English.

Lovely visit to Cote again. As I struggle to eat big meals I love the early diner menu. Great value, always delicious and attentive but not intrusive service.
