The staff were very pleasant and friendly throughout, We were met as soon as we entered the restaurant and shown to our pre-booked table.The food was very good and well presented.The only down side was that once ordered, the food took a while to be served. Otherwise a very pleasant experience.

The staff were friendly, the seats were good and the food was excellent as was the wine we ordered. Would definitely go back soon for another great meal.

I have eaten at Cote in Newbury on several occasions; mainly late breakfast or lunch. Today was the first evening meal. My husband had not been before and was very impressed, saying he would be very happy to return. In all it is a very pleasant environment with very helpful, professional & pleasant staff. The menu is a delightful change from the usual 'run of the mill' options on offer in most other venues. We hope to return soon

Overall a great experience , food (we had steak) was cooked to perfection & very tasty. Shame service with the wine was a little slow as had almost finished our main course, however they were very busy & friendly, the waitress was extremely helpful & a good time was had by all. Ambience just right not too noisy so could talk to each other easily, but still with a "buzz" all around. Well done will definitely visit again.

Fantastic experience, very well looked after. The pork belly was amazing and staff were very helpful. Everything came out of the kitchen very quick and was presented perfectly.

Excellent as always. The service is friendly, respectful, and fast, the atmosphere pleasant, convivial without ever being too loud. And the food is always good.

Excellent venue. Good choice of background music - not too loud! Friendly and efficient welcome and table service, although a bit slow for the food to arrive. Food highly recommended at reasonable prices. Would prefer a bigger range of beers and larger selection of vegetable sides. Veal escalope, duck breast, steak frites and citron pie all excellent.

Despite being 10 minutes late on a busy Friday night we were warmly welcomed.l The food was delicious and the staff attentive and friendly.A Most enjoyable experience, we shall return soon.

Lovely Staff who serve discreetly but very well. I like interaction between waitress/waiter and the customer. Food excellent, I had the steak well done and it was perfect. No room for a sweet.

We love going to Cote in Newbury. There is always a nice atmosphere and the food and service is good. We particularly liked the glass of St Germain Gin - a nice touch.

We go to Cote frequently - the staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is consistently good and you're never made to feel anything other than welcome.

A group of 7 we all enjoyed our meals except one, but this was sorted and replace a a goodwill gesture made, so a very enjoyable time in a lovely restraunt.

A nice early meal prior to the cinema for Mamma Mia. Very good food ,both the Salmon Ratatouille and the Duck Confit were spot on. Only problem we had was a mistake taking down my order which left us a bit rushed. This was just an unfortunate error and has not happened before on many previous visits

All courses for both of us were great and the service was really good even though it was very busy. Wine recommendations great. Fab night

Wonderful, friendly service and a delicious breakfast. I ask for my eggs to be well cooked and they were just perfect. Firm whites a slightly soft yolks. In fact, the whole experience was perfect.

We often go to Cote Newbury for lunch or breakfast and are never disappointed. Food and service are excellent and this time was no exception.

The staff were so friendly. Fantastic service too. The manager went out of his way to make my husbands birthday breakfast really special. Made our day. We will be back.

Little disappointed this visit. We had a late lunch and there were only a few customers in the restaurant. The waitress took our order and I ordered a side order of fries. Our meals came out but no side order. I have to say this is the first time it has happened.

The staff were excellent . Good food and reasonably priced. The waitress who served us was as first class - quick even though the restaurant was busy.

Air conditioned a factor in our choice. Request for a window seat obliged, They didn't mind that I cancelled the original booking and re-booked to get the g&t offer which we enjoyed.

Excellent breakfast, although I missed my favourite as they did not have French black pudding it was busy which explains the delivery which was a bit slow. .

Always a warm welcome from the attentive and friendly staff. There is a varied selection of dishes with monthly and lunchtime special offers. It has become our favourite place to dine in Newbury.

Great friendly service and tasty food. Sat in a booth which was cosy and intimate. Service was quick and we loved our free gin spritzer!

Staff are attentive,food was served freshly cooked and that have a good choice of breakfasts on the gluten free menu. Good choice for Sunday breakfasts

Seemed very confused in there today with extremely slow service. Our breakfast almost got to us, but when another member of staff checked the try, some was missing so the waitress returned to the kitchen. Second coffee that was requested before our meals arrived didn’t come until after we had finished.

This restaurant is a regular of ours. Both the food and service are usually great. Sadly last night one of our main meals was forgotten and arrived late and the air conditioning unit above our table dripped down on us ...not pleasant!

Excellent friendly and fast service! Our boys had the steak frite and my wife and I the seafood casserole. The casserole was excellent and our boys said it was the best steak they'd ever had, better than dads...how rude! The manager chose an excellent glass of wine to accompany. We'll definitely be coming back!

Always excellent service. Food is lovely. Only one criticism this time in that there were too many leeks in my fish stew and not enough shell fish. Otherwise it was lovely.

Cotes is always consistent Always a tasty meal with helpful efficient service and a great menu choice. My tuna salad niscois was delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their choices too.

Welcoming friendly staff. We had the set menu, 2 courses, great value for money and great tasting food. We come regularly and would recommend it.

excellent supper as always. Service very friendly and food delicious. Really enjoyed complimentary special gin and tonic with the elderflower and lavender liquer. Perfect for a hot August evening.

Thought that they were very small portion of the mains last night compared to previous visits. We had the sea bream. Service excellent, wine good too.

A good meal well cooked and served efficiently. The atmosphere in the restaurant was comfortable if a little noisy. The staff quick and efficient. Ate from the superior set menu which was excellent.

Great evening, lovely staff, apart from I specifically asked not to have green beans, but they still gave them to me, very apologetic, but annoying non the less.
