Lovely food and staff but very noisy and took a little longer than usual to get served but only because it was busy. Otherwise good experience

Cote burger was amazing the only thing that dropped it a point was when we had pudding one of the guest ordered cheese and we were finished ours before the bread came to go with the cheese

you always know what you are going to get. deliciuos lunch as usual.we will soon be back for more steak frites and creme brulee! GREAT.

There was 4 of us we had 2 Full English and a lovely French Breakfast all with excellent service and a reasonable service. My Son had not been before and will happily go again.

Very good, my breakfast scambled egg was very salty however the staff quickly changed my breakfast without fuss and brought me a fresh breakfast which was perfect.

Extremely enjoyable evening at Cote. Good atmosphere, excellent service and very good value for money. Restaurant is always busy, which is a good sign, yet staff are attentive, friendly and able to make time for their guests.

Service was good, nice buzzing atmosphere. The steak and frites I had was very tough unfortunately, but other than that, it was a nice evening.

Great service and really tasty food. The swirdfish special was delicious as were the moules. The staff were great as always, I could not fault it.

Friendly staff, good food. Didn’t laugh at my request to have a pork sausage with my veggie breakfast!! Could have been hotter though. Will still come back

I was with my Vegetarian daughter and she founf the vegetarian options very limited. otherwise everything was fine.The food was of good quality and the service was of the expected high standard.

6 of us met for long overdue reunion. Warmly greeted, good efficient friendly service and the complimentary Kir Royales were much appreciated. Food good, nice atmosphere , will return to a favourite haunt

As ever, good food on this occassion - slighly marred by slower than normal service which was a problem as we were going to a film. When staff told they speeded up the service and we just had time. In future I will alert staff more quickly to time restraints.

reliably good food and service. Lots of choice on the menu and the monthly choices are a nice addition. Wine list is good too and plenty of "by the glass" options.

An excellent evening - good food & service & our waiter was extremely entertaining! We're never disappointed at Cotes in Newbury & would definitely recommend. Even busy on a chilly Tuesday evening in March.

Very frindly and efficient staff. Great earlybird menu. Eat before 7 pm . recommend you book. breakfast here is also excellent value for money and very well presented. Enjoy!

Excellent service and welcome as always. Great wines and menus which vary with the seasons. On this occasion I had the Duck Confit which unusually was a little overdone but when i mentioned this they removed it from the bill even though I hadn't asked them to. Well done Cote staff!

Great service even though restaurant was very busy. Ordered from fixed menu - very good value for money. Would definitely go there again for lunch or dinner.

very attentive staff and a lovely meal-apart from the side order of carrots which was stone cold! The waiter took what was left of them away (we'd eaten a few cos they were lovely, even cold) never to be seen again... But they were taken off the bill no problem. Very nice place, recommended.

Disgraceful ran out of sea bass and salmon. Steak was not cooked fish stew was half missing. 3 carrots as a side ran out of green beans. Mother’s Day table booked at 530 pm disgrace

Good food and nice surroundings but the service was extremely slow; there was an hour between starters and mains. Good value lunch menu with a great choice of dishes.

Good decor and a nice atmosphere. Did not have a long wait and the breakfast was really nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good value for money.

An excellent eating experience! As usual (regular customers) from entering to leaving the restaurant one would find it difficult to find fault. The lunchtime menu is well presented and superb quality. If I have a minor point, it would be to provide a small bowl of lemon/water with the mussels to cleanse ones fingers! Otherwise well done to both chef and waiting staff, who cannot do enough for you. I would thoroughly recommend the Cote as it represents outstanding quality and value.

I ordered the duck breast for main course. The duck was slightly dry and the dauphoise potatoes were very dry with little sauce. Six of my daughter's moules as a main course did not open.

The breakfast is always very good and the Service excellent. You feel like you're important to them. We keep going back and I recommend the Crepe complete.

Great atmosphere. Staff quick, courteous and efficient. Despite being very busy staff showed real interest and enthusiasm in the food they were serving. We keep going back and the service is consistently good.

Delicious food & a great value for 3 course lunch. Although we initially experienced very slow service, Ben the Assistant Manager was excellent, he sorted everything out & looked after us really well.

Long time to get served - waited 10 minutes before even our drinks order taken and waitress little unsure as to what we ordered. Appear to be short staffed and staff needed a little more training.

Excellent mother's day brunch and the staff still had time to be friendly and welcoming despite being so busy. Would definitely recommended this restaurant to people.

But less than our usual experience, but very busy for Mother’s Day. Children’s meal seemed lower quality and meagre. Food was fine, just the waiting and cramped nature

Not attentive enough more money would have been spent on drinks if we had been asked! You appeared to have been over stretched today, food was ok but scrambled egg was far too runny, asked for fried bread and got a fried egg! Easy mistake!

Good food, but really disorganised. Took ages to get someone to take our order, but when the appetisers were ready they took them to the wrong table (and the diners there started eating them). Back to the kitchen for another set of dishes, but only 2 out of 3 then arrived. Wait again, third appetiser eventually turns up. Mains were more successful, but then desserts were similarly haphazard and nearly went to the wrong table again. This time we saw it and intercepted to make sure they reached us. It's a shame - our food was good but service was not up to standard.

The staff were welcoming and pleasant, they couldn’t do enough for us. They were brilliant and very good with helping with the gluten free needs. The manger took my order and showed us to the table, he was friendly and it’s nice to see manager presence on the floor getting involved

Good service good food and pleasant surroundings. All food was of a high standard as all the clean plates showed at the end of the meal.

The place was nicely busy. The food and atmosphere was really good. the reason for not giving full marks was that we were given a poor table to begin with, but when we asked, we were quickly re-seated so good marks to both back and front of house at Cote.

Good attention from staff. Nice setting. Slightly on the loud side so acoustics could be improved. Good value vs the quality of food. Overall good experience

We had an early meal before going to the Corn Exchange. Great food, friendly and efficient service. Can always rely on a good Cotes experience.

Delicious food but poor service. No walnuts in the chicken & walnut salad, no opportunity to taste the wine and no offer of additional drinks!

Very good meal and fun service. Kir Royale was a bonus pre starter. Thoroughly recommend the haddock parmientier and the creme caramel..the best for a long time..and the Crumble des Pommes was just that.!

Excellent food, had the lunch menu which was great value. The service excellent too, very cheerful waiter and efficient even though the restaurant was busy.
