Very pleasant staff. We had booked and they had saved a lovely table by the window. The meal, as usual, was extremely good, and well serviced.

The Cote at Newbury was one of the best of all branches of Cote. The staff were particularly pleasant and helpful and the food excellent. We look forward to returning there whenever possible.

Hard to find fault. Very tasty full English but they didn't have any melon to accompany the French toast option. Great way to start the day!

Great service from all of the staff, I asked for a nice table as it was my husbands 60th birthday our table was great, our food was top class as always, made our celebrations complete, would recommend cotes.

As we were given incorrect steaks by the time I started eating mine it appeared so rare and not medium cooked. This has happened before also. Disappointed as it was my husbands birthday meal.

As always, the staff used the right amount of attentiveness without being intrusive. The food was very good and value for money. This is a good place to meet up with friends.

Cote Brasserie whilst continuing to deliver a great product is in danger of falling into the same trap of many failing companies. In the effort to improve margin by reducing overhead they are cutting staff. Understandable, but they are now cutting green wood. Sufficient staff and in particular sufficient front of house staff is crucial to delivering the quality of service that is intrinsic to Cote Brasserie's ongoing success.

We asked for specifics with our order. To not have an item (mushroom) and replica it with something else (we got the mushroom) . We had to wait for about ten minutes for toast at breakfast after the food had been delivered. We stupidly had asked for it separately as they don’t drain the poached egg and it makes the unbuttered toast soggy. We then had to ask for butter which arrived another five mins after that. It was pathetic. The waitress was polite through gritted teeth and clearly wasn’t happy.

Best chain restaurant in terms of food and ambiance for a grown up lunch in Newbury. Staff very friendly and service good. Will be back!

Good food and service as always, however double gin and tonics hilariously expensive - won't do that again! Especially with 12.5% service charge on top of it...

Very good service, as usual the food was excellent. We cannot resist the creme caramel which we have every time we visit Cote. It is so easy to book a table on line.

Cote was very busy with families still on holiday lovely to see in spite of extra numbers our meal was as good as usual with efficient and cheerful service and it was interesting to see that another menu had been added. A happy couple of hours thank you

Two of us were dinning. The menu offered lots of choice and everything we ordered tasted great and we felt was good value for money. The French fried and pastry deserts were especially good!

Great restaurant, lots of space, so not too cramped in. Always really friendly service here without being overbearing. Consistently good food, and reasonably priced too.

Dedicated Gluten Free Menu with wide choice of dishes, thank you. Starter disappointing, tomato overpowered the prawns but this did not detract from the whole evening. Service excellent. *****

Food was delicious as always but on this occasion the service was lacking. I waited 1/2 for coffee as part of the breakfast deal, so we gave up. Credit to the restaurant manager who apologised and told us no charge for the breakfast. Excellent customer service.

Extremely noisy where we sat, round table on entrance and toilet half of restaurant, too many large groups, will always request other half from now on. All meals good except one very dried up salmon dish. So overall not a great experience

to many different staff serving us took the edge of what was a very enjoyable meal and evening. But having been to cote on many occasions we are sure to return soon.

There were a good range of gluten free options to choose from. Food was nice and the service was excellent. We will go there again.

Four of us enjoyed lunch at a very reasonable price. The menu was varied, the service well paced and friendly, and we would certainly recommend the restaurant for an affordable treat.

Received by a smiling receptionist and taken straight to our table, immediately asked if we required special water and fresh house water put on table, two different glasses of wine arrived soon after. Menus and specials patiently explained and our order taken. Good shared starter arrived quickly following by well prepared and delicious 'steak, frites'.

Cote Newbury never disappoints but just a bit slow ordering first drinks on arrival but we were early for our table snd they were kind enough to accommodate us early so all in all a very enjoyable experience

Staff friendly,but we had a long wait to order our food and a long wait for food to arrive and my dish which I’ve had plenty of times before,was disappointing,dessert was lovely though.

Our visit was as expected as I go to Cote in Newbury such a lot so it was a very pleasurable lunch with nice food and good service. Nothing else to add.

The reception and service were very good. We all took advantage of the special weekday menu and the food was of smaller portions but perfectly adequate for us. There are only two criticisms I have and they are :- The 12 1/2% service charge added to the bill. I like to reward good service personally. I object to paying extra for vegetables, which means I am limited in my choices as I often choose something which comes with some vegetables. I will continue to patronise the restaurant as it is both convenient and the food is good!

Excellent food, commendable service and good atmosphere. Never felt rushed and sufficient time allowed by the staff between courses. Will certainly be returning in the near future.

Really good night and food just perfect, atmosphere amazing, staff attentive and efficient. Never felt I had to wait for anything. My only complaint is that I am an ale drinker and the choice of beer was very limited.

I went with friends for a meal on a Friday. The place has friendly, accomodating staff who were attentive but not instrusive. The food was great and the portions just right. It's a nice environment in which to eat.
