That we keep going back, says it all really but then what's not to like.

Outstanding service from the welcome on arrival and throughout the meal service . Exceptional and friendly service from our waiter who anticipated our needs. I have dined at Newbury Cote several times , and will continue to do so in the future.

This restaurant is the nearest thing to a real French brasserie that I can think of . Only the big Boots branch and Clarks shoe shop opposite spoil the illusion! My food was beautifully cooked and prepared - the goats cheese, fresh fig and chicory salad was a small and delicate work of art both to the eye and the palate. Delicious moules, exquisite frites - the orange and Grand Marnier crepes could have done with having the sauce warmed up so that it lit properly but apart from that - perfection.

Great location, glorious day wonderful seat (almost a private dinning booth) charming front of house staff...Sadly the breakfast was served cold Despite this upset I’ve promised the manager I will return the next time I’m visiting my mum in Newbury

We enjoyed our breakfast, friendly staff nice clean restaurant. Shame the breakfast deal is no longer available where you get hot drink, fruit juice and breakfast for set price.

Overpriced, paying for a meal that doesn’t come with vegetables. Paid for vegetables £4 but a tiny portion. Dessert menu v uninspiring. Staff lovely

I was very pleased to see that the tables were very well placed for social distancing which made for a relaxing evening. The choice of food was very good, the starters, main course and desserts, were all excellent and very well presented. The rib-eye steaks were cooked to perfection and extremely tender. The waiters were very polite and professional and adhered to the protocol of social distancing across the table. The wine was the right temperature and of excellent quality. all in all a superb evening out feeling very satisfied that I could go out and have a wonderful meal that I had not cooked myself.

Staff were great and food was fabulous. Made our day great.

Staff are friendly apart from one man. Food was good. Only thing that is a let down, is lack of correct cutlery. No starter cutlery no soup spoons for soup or mussels. Same cutlery for every course. My partner was even given a dessert spoon with her roast haddock!

Excellent lunch in Newbury Cote....very safe environment tables well spaced out and clean. Service was excellent , food was piping hot. Felt really safe and relaxed .

Met friends there. We have all been in quarantine for two weeks since returning from France. It was lovely to relax and talk to each other! The wine and food were delicious, the service very good. Love the free water when you order. Used my NHS App for the first time

We love Cote. And this visit was extraordinary. One steak wasn’t quite right but Chef kept going until it was just perfect. Five stars? No. Ten!!

It was a pleasure to return to Cote Newbury after a forgettable visit to Cote Dorchester earlier in the week. In Newbury the service was outstanding and the food was excellent as usual.

An excellent venue for a mid week lunch. Faultless in every respect.

Yet again when I visited there was no October specials available - it was not until I asked for the menu that I was advised this, I was looking forward to the Fig Salad, chateaubriand, we should have been advised prior to placing orders for drink and I would have the had the option to go elsewhere. The service in general was not as attentive as my visit in August. In addition to above I had to ask for our complementary cocktails & then these were charged to the bill, they were removed on request however this should not occur, the restaurant was not busy there were only 3 other tables.

Food was so good, service great. Only down was our table was not 2 m way from next one. In fact I was less than 2/3 ft away from the person on my left. It was up a step with a partial wall, but glass had gaps. If it was not for COVID, I would give it 5 *

The food and service was brilliant it was a very special afternoon made even more special by the quality of the restaurant staff. Nothing was too much trouble, I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely return when I come back to Newbury.

Great as ever to have breakfast, shame the price has gone up and the breakfast meal no longer. Blamed on covid but really company trying to make more money!

Delicious food. The food was served very quickly, perhaps a little too fast! After eating it was difficult to gain attention when we wanted the bill and again to make payment.

Always so lovely at Cote.cant wait to go again hopefully before Christmas. X

I always liked Cote in Newbury, great staff, lovely food, nice atmosphere, but our previous visit (before Covid) was disappointing because the food wasn't up to the usual standard. But we decided to give it another chance. Food was delicious, staff professional but atmosphere was lacking. Music was awful, we would expect something more appropriate to the restaurant and it was too noisy. I could barely hear the waiter coming to take our order. And he couldn't hear us. So, for me, if you can fix this, then this will become my favourite restaurant.
