The service and atmosphere was lovely I think there maybe could of been one or two more members of staff working, looked very much like it was a management or supervisor working the restaurant floor was a little tricky to get someone’s attention to get more drinks
We have always enjoyed eating in branches of Cote when visiting London - especially the one in Blackheath where our daughter was a regular customer! So we were delighted when the Newcastle branch opened - if only there were another one in Ponteland where we live! The restaurant is beautifully laid out with comfortable and well spaced tables and attracts customers of all ages which is a nice change, as older people are less well catered for in the city centre! The food last night was excellent and mains portions were generous. Service also good. Fairly expensive, but worth it. We had a lovely evening, once again justifying our faith in the Cote "brand". Cannot fault any aspect. Eye candy waiters, amazing food and lovely front of house! I’m officially an addict for the duck and Chardonnay
Amazing food and a fantastic welcome from the staff x salad was drenched in oil so couldn't eat it but the main dish was amazing x
I absolutely love the Newcastle Cote. The food is superb and the staff are wonderful - today was a bit of a stressful day for me and their pleasant manner and calm happy demeanour made me feel altogether better. The free cocktail offer didn’t hurt either 😍
Excellent dining experience. Tasty food and good service in an appealing environment.
Fillet steak was badly burned on the outside. Everything else was fine. Good attentive service. Not overcrowded. Good location. A bit disappointed that the early dinner set menu was not available weekends.
First visit and very impressed. Food was elegant and tasty with the emphasis on flavour. All in a relaxed setting with good service. Merci beaucoup!
Great night with friends. Good food everyone had a different starter but the french onion soup was the favourite, the steak was popular for the main course, the chocolate mousse was to die for and the service was very good.
Food was nice Restaurant was a bit chilly with air conditioning on- it was switched off after we asked twice Service a little slow for dessert Overall a good meal but service needs a polish
Food , surroundings and service very good, disappointed we weren't offered the complimentary rhubarb gin cocktail mentioned on website (we ate lunch specials menu)
I always enjoy the food here, I recommend the salmon or beef tartar for starters as they are amazing and the duck for mains.
Disappointing as first visit here. Food service very poor and average food. Main course served without all sides which we had to ask for and took nearly 10 minutes to bring out. One main course barely luke warm when first served so had to send it back. Again took almost 10 minutes to return main course and still wasn’t really hot. Coffees served just before deserts despite asking for them to be served afterwards.
I eat regularly here but first time in the evening. Good intimate surroundings. Meal was served within 20 minutes. Good food. Just the right amount. Salmon was cooked just right. My colleague had parmentier and again well cooked. Food well presented. Waiting staff were very efficient and unobtrusive. Top experience as usual
Excellent service and very nice food and attentive and knowledgeable staff.
Fab night, Fab food, Great atmosphere . Drinks flowing fab evening had by all. Would definitely recommend a visit for an enjoyable evening. 5 star food Thank you
Fantastic food and a great gluten free menu. All the staff that looked after us where polite and friendly. Really do recommend a visit, the French Onion Soup is superb!
Nice atmosphere: decor and table settings. Food was very tasty and well presented. Overall a lovely dining experience, calamari starter and belly pork main was yummy.
We very much enjoyed our meal once again. Staff were very polite and pleasant. The surroundings are very comfortable and relaxing. Looking forward to our next dinner date. Many thanks.
Excellent food and service as always Ambience of the restaurant was also very good. Starters of calamari, crab mayonnaise and French onion soup were exceptionally presented and tasted amazing.
This is my second visit to your restaurant and each time the experience was excellent. My friend is vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised at the extensive menu offered and will certainly visit again
Excellent service and ambiance. Great food and drink. Really enjoyed the experience.
A really enjoyable meal well presented. Fast and friendly service and a very good atmosphere
Always a delight to catch up with dear friends at Newcastle Côte. Food always delicious. Staff warm and welcoming. And the atmosphere always convivial for a lengthy catch up.
I have eaten at Cote so many times and not once have i been disappointed. It was my birthday and myself and two friends received complimentary Kir Royales and good was fantastic.Staff are always friendly and attentive and can,t do enough for you.Lovely atmosphere and background music,I will be booking again very soon.
Love the overall feel in the restaurant where you can meet friends for a lazy long lunch, unhurried by the staff with brilliant food choices and excellent service. My favourite eatery in Newcastle at present. Please keep up the good standard and we'll continue to keep coming back.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Restaurant was lovely. Waitress (I think she was called Heather) was absolutely brilliant. Will definitely be back. Steaks were perfect and first time for trying French onion soup but won’t be the last!
we were greeted by a lovely lady and the whole experience was wonderful as was the food, nice glass of wine to accompany our starters mains and desserts.
A truly wonderful venue with food and service to match. I would not hesitate to recommend Cote to anyone, its one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
Great food, service and lovely staff. Have never been disappointed. Highly recommend. Miriam
Great food, service and lovely staff. Have never been disappointed. Highly recommend. Miriam
Excellent customer service, staff were terrific as usual, wonderful food. Will definitely be returning, looks like becoming my favourite restaurant in Newcastle. Very unusual in my experience but ticks every box.
Great staff delicious food and ambience fantastic early evening meal before theatre - definitely will return. Have been for breakfast twice and was very impressed !!
Wlmy friends and I had a wonderful meal in lovely surroundings with very attentive staff.
We visited this restaurant for the first time today and we’re thoroughly satisfied with both the service and food both were outstanding, definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Main was really good (we had pork belly, Tuna salad and one of the chicken dishes) and nice relaxing atmosphere. A little disappointed with 2 of the starters (Prawn and flatebread but really liked the calamari). Good selection of different dishes, good for vegetarians. Only problem - asked one of the dishes to exclude creme but they were unable to accommodate, which question the sauces are pre-made.
The entire staff, the service throughput, the expert advice on a wine to compliment our food, our meal was excellent, I cannot fault at all. The whole experience was lovely
February special of Boudin Noir was delicious as was the pate (as normal). Service was also excellent. This has to be some of the best food in Newcastle- better than Marco Pierre White.
We love Cote Guildford and were looking forward to visiting Cote Newcastle. The consistency of the dishes served are one of the selling points of Cote, however on this occasion we were disappointed that the asparagus in both our main courses was under cooked and the risotto was undercooked also. The general ambiance wasn't anywhere near as good as that of the Guildford branch. I understand there was a rugby tournament on and the town was very busy and all restaurants had been full to capacity all afternoon, so will give Cote the benefit of the doubt as we arrived at 5pm and it felt like the lull after the storm. Hopefully our experience was just a one off as we're huge fans and we will return but will keep fingers crossed for a better experience.
We ate from the Prestige set menu on a busy Saturday evening. Food and wine lovely and excellent service as always. Good value and friendly staff.
I booked the table for four for my birthday after receiving an email offering free aperitifs. We were not offered the drinks - I had to ask for them twice - we had a trainee waiter and then an experienced one and then the trainee again - by the time we received the two free drinks it was after the main course and not really appropriate by then. We were overcharged for our food due to confusion over what was ordered on the set menu and the a la carte. The small portion of bread and olives had an extortionate charge. We did not feel the 12.5% service charge which was automatically included in the bill was justified.
I eat at Cote a lot and staff are wonderful and food is always gorgeous with a great choice.
Excellent new menu Service impeccable as always and food amazing. Recommended wine was a fabulous addition - very light red.
Really enjoyed our visit. We arrived just before 7pm and were still offered the early dining menu. Decided to have the three courses and have to say all the courses were good. Hubby decided to have steak and said it was one of the best steaks he has had in a long time. I opted for the seafood linguine and it was very good. Also enjoyed a really good bottle of wine. Can not fault the food or the service. Overall, a great night.
Tasty Breakfast on the Sunday Morning,,,Highly recommand!! A quite place, maybe because it was 9am at Sunday. Next time, I will looking for bit more ambient music. Little bit expensive, but reasonable.
Met up with friends from work who had never been to Cote before - I recommended we visit here as I have been a few times - we all thoroughly enjoyed it - will definitely visit again.
Visited Cote on the 15th June with my mam and sister, food was average. But our waiter was very arrogant and had a bit of an attitude and not helpful at all. Don't think I will be going back.
Warm welcome , excellent food and customer service and value for money at Cote Brassiere. Restaurant is well organised and kept very clean by staff. Would like to have some French Music played such as Piaf and Zaz.
Top class meal and service. Friendly welcome. Great ambience in the Newcastle restaurant. Excellent menu although we have our favourites! Looking forward to our next visit.
Best gluten free menu I’ve ever seen! There was so much choice and I didn’t feel like a nuisance for once. Every restaurant could learn something about special dietary requirements from Cote Brasserie. Thank you
Really enjoyed our lunch in fact it made the day, great atmosphere and fab service. The food was very very good, Always love an opportunity to eat at Cote! thank you once again
