Helpful staff and a varied menu including a vegan/vegetarian menu. Good value for money. My wife had been before, she is a vegan, with a group of friends and was disappointed. However you provided us with a complementary voucher and asked us to come again. The experience was much better this time, and staff were able to answer our queries regarding the suitability of some items on the menu. Whilst there were vegan options on the menu, we were a little disappointed that the only vegan dessert option was sorbet.

The food was excellent and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We have been a few times before and continue to be pleased with Cote.

We had a fantastic night at Cote Brasserie Norwich. From the first greeting when we walked in the door to the last goodnight, the staff were very attentive but not overly so. They were genuinely very friendly. The food was amazing. Although there was a mistake in the order, they were very quick to rectify it and brought us out the correct order and were very apologetic. We would definitely recommend Cote Brasserie Norwich.

Excellent and friendly service, delicious food and a very pleasant ambience. The set menus offer good value. We would definitely return and would recommend to others.

As always greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. We had thankfully reserved a table as the restaurant was busy and were showed through to our favourite booth. Service was friendly and prompt, accommodating of our individual requests and delicious! Eggs poached perfectly. Looking forward to next time..

Whenever I dine here, I am always astonished by the fact these are essentially a chain of restaurants. However, unlike a large number of restuarant chains, each Cote Brasserie is unique and gives an air of fine dining. The service is always impeccable and the food is superbly cooked and presented. The restaurant itself is clean and very well maintained. One of my pet hates are low chairs / high tables, but here it is perfectly balanced and comfort gives way to a pleasurable dining experience.

Disappointing dinner from a normally reliable restaurant. We dine here en famille every 2 or 3 weeks and have never had a bad meal until now. Breton fish stew appeared to be made with water strained from the veg! No taste at all! In fact, horrid! Tuna in the nicoise salad was overcooked and tough. Swordfish was cold when it arrived. The fish stew was so bad it had to be sent back and something else ordered, a goat cheese salad, and here the accompanying tapenade crostini was *burnt* (to the point of inedible). It seems the current (I presume new, or replacement?) chef burns even toast! To be fair, the managers were apologetic, swift to try and rectify the situation, and did not charge us for the fish stew or goat-cheese salad, but the meal was spoilt nonetheless. What is normally a great treat was simply a matter of refuelling. Cote Norwich, you have one more chance with us. We will return as usual in 2-3 weeks, but if we have another poor dinner, we will start dining somewhere else. A great pity ...

The food was amazing, lovely atmosphere and great service. Lovely touch with the complimentary rhubarb martinis they were yummy, and original never seen them before! I will definitely be coming back soon.

Really pleased with the complementary kir royal provided in recognition of my Birthday. Staff were friendly and provided top service. Food was also excellent.

Great welcome. Table ideally situated. Super service. I was with a friend who had never been to a Cote before and she was most impressed with the Vegetarian options available. I am a Coeliac and am always very happy with the GF menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner together and we will be back. Only one slight hitch at the end with getting and paying our bill prevented the highest star rating.

The food was lovely and it was easy to book online. We arrived on time and were seated quickly. The only things that annoyed me were I felt that tables were too close together so I couldn’t even have a conversation with my husband because the noise was too much with the other diners, but also we were sat on a table near the toilet entrance which wasn’t great. I think this table should be made redundant and more space allocated. Overall it felt too crowded for me and not the intimate romantic meal I had planned. We had three courses and it was all over in an hour, we felt rushed by the staff. We visited the Cote Brasserie in bury st Edmunds and this was much better all round.

Had a fantastic evening, the food was delicious, especially the prawns, couldn’t fault any of it, great service and staff were awesome .. we will be back very soon.

We enjoyed our meal at Cote. Food was as described and tasty. Service was just right...neither too slow nor too fast. Staff were friendly and professional. Altogether a Cote is Very good value for money with the different value set menus. However, bottles of wine are a little expensive. The Malbec (Cahors) we had was good but in our opinion highly marked up in price at £28.

Amazing food and great service! You can go here for breakfast, lunch or dinner the menu is amazing with a wide range of options and an excellent desert menu! I would definitely recommend for any occasion!

From entering the door to a warm welcome from the staff an excellent meal and wine to leaving again with a lovely goodbye we had a wonderful lunch. Thank you Cotes Norwich for looking after us so well.

Lovely food, welcoming, chatty staff, nice atmosphere. There were a lot of items on the menu that were not in stock. My husband ordered the lamb only to be told later on that this too was now not available. So he ordered steak and a sauce. Sauce was forgotten. So he had to wait another five mins for it. Otherwise it was lovely.

Very good food, think the service charge is a bit high automatically added onto the bill

Nine of us enjoyed a really nice eveing at Cote, the food was good and Iona looked after us very well.

Very attentive and pleasant staff but unfortunately, having been given the menus, when we came to order we were told that the scallop special was not available and later when ordering a cognac with a coffee told that the particular item on the menu was no lo ger available. To be fair we were given a substitute at no charge but menus need to be kept up to date or at least customers should be told at the time of seating if particular items are not available. Unfortunately our experience was also marred by an elderly female customer who appeared to be somewhat the worse for drink and insisted on effing and swearing in a loud voice. I accept some people are intellectually incapable of expressing themselves without resorting to swearing but if i am out for a 'nice' meal with my wife i do not wish to hear about someone elses foul mouthed experiences.

Good pre-theatre meal at Cote in Norwich, Mackerel salad, Toulouse sausage and creme caramel. All were very tasty and up to the usual Cote standard. Definitely worth another visit.

Good food and friendly service. Marred by having an "optional" 12.5% charge added to the bill. We believe tipping is an anachronistic and patronising relic, and should be dropped. We would rather pay a proper price for the meal, and have the staff paid a proper wage.

My wife and I had an excellent meal last Friday. My wife has a gluten intolerance and was delighted to see such an extensive choice of options. She had steak and I had pork belly, both dishes were superb. The place was busy and there was a great buzz and despite being rushed off their feet the staff were happy and smiling and attentive.

A table of five for my birthday meal. Faultless service, delicious dinner and nice buzzy atmosphere. A firm favourite, a restaurant you can always rely on for a good meal.

My wife enjoyed her pork belly very much and the special creme brule was good. I had the grilled chicken , and while it was realy cooked very well and the mushroom saucen was wonderful , i Found it very oily. It seems as though after grilling, it is flash fried? The oil in the plate and crispy skin being my reason. This was not to my taste particulary as i don't enjoy oily/ fried food at all. I feel that rather than rocket an accompanying green could be included as it left me feeling like i had just eaten a very good fried chicken and chips rather than a resturant quality meal.Choc mousse was decent and very fluffy. She gave 5 stars i gave 4.

Food (we had mainly steaks and fish) was fabulous. Waiting staff were very attentive without beng intrusive. We liked the part of the restaurant where we were seated (a circular table rather than a booth) - we will definitely return.

The calamari starter and the bread were excellent, however the mussels were tough, stringy and flavourless, I left half of them.

Food was all absolutely lovely but...... we’d ordered olives and sourdough to share as starters and had barely touched these when our main meals arrived so we didn’t really get a chance to enjoy them and when you’re full from your main meal, the starters then seem a complete waste of money. Personally I wouldn’t do that again.

What a lovely meal. Top quality ingredients cooked in a French way. All staff very well trained friendly and efficient. Very good value fir money with a choice of several menues to be taken before 7pm at bargain prices They don’t put a foot wrong in terms of good French fare well priced

Very pleasant atmosphere, welcoming staff and s good ambience. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared and cooked. All round a very successful event for my birthday. Staff brought in the cake with the candles blazing - magic!

My friend and I are fairly regular visitors for breakfast and always have great service. Today when we visited my friend arrived first and ordered a coffee. I arrived a few minutes later, was greeted warmly by one of the regular staff. I made my way to my table and the waitress arrived with not only my friend’s order, but also a decaf coffee (my usual order)! It was exactly what I usually have and I was so touched that our server remembered!! She is always super lovely and nothing is too much trouble and today she was particularly brilliant. Thank you to the lovely lady who served us at Cote Norwich-she made my day!!

Main hostess was very warm and welcoming but our waitress was the complete opposite. She was brusque, brusque,bordering on aggressive. Some food cold and soggy.

Really nice food, atmosphere and service. Vegetarian and vegan menu is very good, with lots of options at good prices. The 2 courses or 3 courses set meals are good value for money

Welcome always warm from our host, manager Christopher, always charming and very hospitable. The restaurant was quiet when we visited (4.30pm), so we were made to feel like millionaires !!! The food was very good, consistently good, we have eaten here on many occasions and the food has always been spot on. As has the service and thanks to Christopher and Koronia (hope I have spelt name correctly) for making our visit so pleasent. See you again soon, the complimentary drink (included in booking) was lovely. Sue
