Côte Notting Hill

Great ambience, food and waiting staff during a busy lunch time rush. A reasonably priced and varied menu that catered for different / special diets.

Had to wait 30 mins for a menu and greeted by rude staff. We were then not given cutlery for our meals or napkins. Never experienced such poor service

Although not that busy at the earlier sitting service was poor by the first waiter. Fortunately a different waiter started looking after us and it improved

Brilliant place with Great food and great service. Hold a very nice atmosphere with Lovely and approachable staff. The staff stand out - very obliging and polite. A pleasure to spend time at this establishment.

Lots of choice on the menu, including "specials" for March. Good, friendly and helpful service. Nice atmosphere. Overall, a very pleasant evening in west London.

Waited too long to be seated. Staff wasn’t attentive enough. I’ve been to quite a few Cote this one was the worst. Needs to improve considering location.

Cote - always a reliable option - didn't disappoint this time. I am gluten free and there was plenty of choice for me. Pleasant staff - good service. Only criticism, the room was not very warm! Would definitely return.

Staff were very friendly but the food was awful. 8 people and 8 different meals and not one was satisfied. Steaks were not cooked to prefer they mixed up the sirloin with the T bone. Chicken was so roasted that it splintered. I could go on but not enough room on here!!

The table was ready when we arrived the staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was its usual good quality. Well done to everyone.

It was a very busy evening because it was Valentines night but the service was very good and the food very enjoyable. The restaurant has a good ambience.

The main course was brought too soon. My guest and I were still only half way through our starter when the main course was brought to our table. This meant that we had to abandon our starter of olives and bread in order that our main course didn’t become cold before we could eat it.

Charms and very helpful staff. Had the pre theatre menu which had lots of choices. I ate the smoked salmon tartine followed by the Jerusalem artichoke risotto and finished with the apple crumble and ice cream. I would definitely go back there m

The food was great and the complementary whine really tasty! It took really long before we got anything to drink and the staff in general wasn’t that observant.

As always the food was excellent. The atmosphere was great too, plenty of room and not hassled by over attentive waiters! Met up with a friend I hadn't seen for some years so we were able to enjoy the evening at our own pace.

Good and tasty food served in a very pleasant environment but some members of staff seem a bit lax whereas others are very observant and attentive.

This is a first class venue for Sunday lunch - good food (especially the Breton chicken), welcoming service and a relaxed atmosphere. I have tried out this restaurant on many occasions, as I did again today, at the Westbourne Grove/Notting Hill Branch, and continue tol recommend it for quality, reasonable pricing and consistency.

Good food. Very attentive staff. Only that it was rather noisy stops it from being a 6. But having a table by a wall meant that we could hear each other.

There were three of us for dinner on a busy Friday. The food was high quality as usual but the service was a bit indifferent. This is a real restaurant producing consistently good value food....why go anywhere else?

It was fantastic. Delicious food, great service, staff are friendly, nice atmosphere. The menu is very broad, the banana crepe for pudding was incredible. Always a favourite for a quick and reliable bite to eat.

Excellent meal and service. Restaurant was very busy with families and young children but this did not seem to ruffle the staff at all. We shall continue to use Cote restaurants on a regular basis

We all had the pre-7pm set menu and it was truly excellent. The Butternut soup was nutritious, tasty and pipng hot, the minute steak was cooked to perfection and the creme caramel sublime. I've been going for years and this place rarely disappoints.

Always reliable. Friendly staff. Sometimes a little slow. Food choice good and dishes well prepared. Steaks always tender. Wine good value. Choose a booth for best comfort.

A good meal was spoilt by poor (unprofessional) service. We were also deceived by only being given the Christmas set lunch menu, without being made aware of the existence of the considerably cheaper lunch/early evening table d'hote menu option. Finally, to spoil what had in fact been a perfectly decent lunch, no waiter was prepared to help find the coat of my elderly guest - it having been taken off him by a member of staff on arrival. Pretty much find it yourself. Eventually someone assisted.

It was excellent from A to Z. The staff was friendly. We truly loved the set menu we chose. It was good value for money, but it was also delicious. We will definitely be back before Christmas. We don't mind spreading the word to our friends about this branch.

Lovely, helpful staff, food always enjoyable and reasonably priced. Restaurant is very clean and welcoming. It was my 7 year old birthday and they surprised us all with a little pudding and candle. Lovely gesture.

Great food, but some of the dishes were a bit too small. I really enjoyed the chocolate fondant! Quite noisy but a cozy atmosphere anyway.

Everything was fine with one exception. The street door did not close properly, and there was a very cold draught. We were told that the door had been like this for several days, and we were very syrprised that it had not been fixed.

I went with two friends and as offered for my birthday we had complimentary kir royals which we all enjoyed . The service was excellent and they took a lot of care to make it a very special evening.

Food was very good but one of our main courses was not as ordered, so needed replacing, which meant we didn't all eat together. Also, initially the service was rather slow - after about 10 mins with no action, my husband asked the waiter if we could have some drinks, and once ordered they took another 10 mins to arrive. At 2.30 on a Monday afternoon the place was quiet, so maybe there were insufficient staff on? Overall, though, a good experience, as always, and friendly waiter.

We were well looked after as always, sitting down at our table without having to wait. The food was served at the appropriate moments and was well presented and hot. It was my birthday and we even got a complimentary drink!

We had a very enjoyable evening last night. I asked for a quiet part of the restaurant, and this was happily accommodated. Unlike many restaurants, this branch of Cote has plenty of space between tables and doesn't have loud music. It is happy and relaxed. Our food was very good. Two bottles of sparkling wine were very good and not overpriced, either! I did order bread and olives, but we ran out of bread, and I thought it a bit excessive to charge us again for a top-up! Service very pleasant. Will come again.

Service very good. Unfortunately some of the food not up to usual Cote standard. Pear & Endive Salad full of frisee. Chargrilled chicken rather rubbery - may have been sitting too long. Dauphinois potatoes okay though. Wine (Muscadet) was cold and a good choice. In summary - it was all about the food.

Food was excellent. Experience marred by mistake (s) in the bill. Serious overcharge on wine. This required a telephone call which was handled smoothly. I will return but examine the bill closely when it is presented.

We normally visit Cote about every 4-6 weeks and up until this visit have not been disappointed, unfortunately one of our main courses was not up to the usual standard, a pork dish, it was lukewarm and lacked flavour. The other dish of hake was delicious.
