Good tasty food from the 'Rapide' menu, speedily served with a minimum of fuss. Excellent service, and excellent value. Better than the comparable restaurant groups..
As always a warm welcome. Very good service and delicious meal. Air conditioning working well and a very hot evening. What more can you ask.
My experience last Thursday at Cote Brasserie Oxford was very good. The service was friendly and efficient & the food was nice. I would visit again.
As always the star are gorgeous The food was lovely as always and we had out of town guests with us. Thank the lovely staff as always.
The service was good. The food was excellent, everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. There was plenty of selection on the menu, including a very cheap set menu that looked good. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Lovely meal and extremely helpful & competent staff. Thank you for a very pleasant time on our 56th wedding anniversary. We look forward to our next visit.
The food took forever to turn up, service was really slow. Food tastes great though. I feel the restaurant could benefit from higher staffing levels.
Delicious food (huge portions!) and great service. All staff were extremely friendly, efficient, helpful and professional despite restaurant being extremely busy. Will definitely visit again next time we are visiting Oxford.
The food and service were both good. They missed the offer that I had booked - the kir royales on arrival to celebrate the restaurant's 10th anniversary. I asked for the drink and it was then added to our bill. We had to ask to have this removed which they did without quibble. The system doesn't seem to know that you have booked an offer or is the restaurant? I will still go back though as I like the food.
An Excellent lunch in Oxford to celebrate my granddaughter's graduation. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Would definitely recommend a visit
Good experience, polite staff ,food up to expectations except one starter. This was replaced without a problem and not charged on the bill. We really enjoyed our visit in Oxford.
Good quality foods, very tranquil environment and extremely good service. I would never forgot the night that I have spent there. Definitely a full mark for it.
It's delicious food and friendly atmosphere. Not 6 because the waiter lost our order, and after 30 mins they realised. They did bring us another glass of sparkling wine to compensate and didn't charge for coffees either so they did try. We won't hold it against them and be back soon
Always good there. Nice food, good choice, reasonably priced, good service. Everything is consistently good - you never have to worry about what it will be like.
The fourth time I have been to Cote Brasserie in Oxford for either lunch or early evening dinner. Always good food and a nice atmosphere
Staff excellent... nice venue... steaks not great... disappointed I thought the food would have been to a higher standard. Had a similar meal at the Cote London Bridge that was really good.
Good service pleasant surroundings but steak wasn't as good as usual - bit tough and stringy but it was the one from the cheap set menu.
Very enjoyable evening spent at Cote in Oxford. The staff were very efficient and friendly, making us feel very welcome. The food was as good as always.
My daughter and I had an early supper. The service was excellent, staff were very friendly and the was food freshly cooked and presented well. Very appetising.
Prompt and polite service. Food fresh and nicely presented. Complimentary fizz - it was a special occasion - was a nice touch. Good surroundings and buzzing atmosphere. No bread offered though but all good otherwise.
We've been to Cote before and my wife's parents are big fans but our meal on Friday evening was dreadful. We ordered the rib eye steak and eventually, after about 30 minutes after the starter had been cleared away it turned up. The steak was dry and tasted as if it had been cooked 15 minutes previously and left under a hot lamp in between. When we asked for more water it never turned up even though the other drinks we ordered at the same time did. We were asked how the meal was and were not glowing in our response but I guess we weren't obvious enough as nothing was done. When the bill came a 12.5% service charge had been added which we asked to be removed as we had not had good service, the waitress couldn't have been more obvious in her displeasure. Needless to say when there are so many restaurants to choose from we won't be choosing Cote again.
Amazing food with nice service. Friendly staffs. Complementary drinks of good quality. Reasonable price. Nice atmosphere and decorations. It was a good experience and I will definitely visit there again.
great restaurant with very good service and i would recommend the Pea and Mint risotto and and the frozen mixed berries its also very convenient for the New theatre
Bit busy on arrival - despite lots of empty tables the staff seemed rushed and not the usual friendly welcome- but it was OK and our free kir royal arrived without comment. Order taken quickly - service was good- but impersonal- Not the previous Cote welcome to returning guests. The food and drink was however up to the usual high standard so we ended on a happy note
The food was good. The sTaff were lovely. But the restaurant lacked ambiance and we were too tightly packed in so it was really noisy.
Lovely restaurant and good service. However, be aware that whilst the set menu seems great, it is very limited, basic and portions aren't at all generous.
During our meal at the restaurant my sister was taken ill. Nothing to do with the food which we were really enjoying! I cannot praise the manager enough for his help-- to literally carrying my elderly sister into an adajacent room.bringing a damp napkin for her forehead and speedily calling an ambulance for us, Somehow he magicked a doctor in the meantime! He really went beyond the call of duty and we are very grateful. My sister is recovering and we would like to thank him again for all his help.

Fast service, friendly staff and great recommendations.. will definitely be back.. As soon as we arrived, we were sitter almost immediately with drinks request offered.
Booked The Cote on recommendations from a friend as seeing a show in Oxford. Very friendly, good service and lovely food. We ate french onion soup, ribeye steak and lamb rump and had Merlot wine, all delicious. Will go back.
Nice atmosphere and reliably good food. Old favourites/classics and some new items too. Best crème caramel in town. Good choice of wines and house red and white great value and very good.
We experienced excellent service throughout our visit. Staff were welcoming, our table was ready and the food was good. Food was a bit slow in coming, and we were on our way to the theatre, but still a good experience.
Love the June Menu. Great food here in Oxford, and friendly service. Recommend the sea bass with ratatouille, plus have some frites, too! Gorgeous creme caramel.
Good value, nice atmosphere, and realistic prices - - and good food! What more could one ask for?! We were thee before theatre and had a lovely meal.
Great quality food as ever and always reasonable prices for the quality. The chicken and walnut salad with homer mustard dressing was superb. Would certainly recommend Cotes.
Check your bill. We had an Oxford Playhouse voucher for a free bottle of wine, but it appeared on the first bill. No problem with amending it, but it shouldn't have happened. Staff friendly (even if rather zealous in repeatedly asking how everything was). No problem in securing our preferred table.
A little slow coming to take order- I know it was busy but when you are waiting the staff should see you are ready when all the menus have been put down and you are talking. Good service other wise. Good night
We were both very pleased with today's lunch and will certainly come again. We had been before but that time wasn't as pleasing. We were glad we gave you another try!
Excellent service good food and value for money. Good location in george street, Oxford by bus station. Menu is varied we had steak frites which is always good.
Good food; asparagus perfectly cooked, a lovely piece of fish with just the right amount of accompaniments and the two chocolate puddings completed a very good meal. The service was excellent, friendly and competent.
As usual very good service and food in a timely fashion pre theatre. Have visited many times and every one we take has the same opinion. In fact mother in law quotes that it is the best restaurant
The fillet steak was poor and not worth the premium charged for this item. The other main and both starters were OK. Staff polite and service prompt.
This was a pleasant enough restaurant which is more than can be said for the food. My risotto could only be described as quick setting concrete. How on earth that managed to leave the kitchen "in that condition" is nothing short of a disgrace. A risotto should be loose and creamy, mine was stodge and SOLID in the middle, I could actually cut slices from it . My business colleague also had it and hers was the same. We also asked for another bottle of Perrier which never turned up and the waiter was as miserable as a weekend in Bognor (perhaps he too had been subjected to the risotto). I will most definitely never be returning to a Cote again as the food is sub-standard.
Enjoyable evening meal with a couple of exceptions. The sauce with our main course could have been a little thicker and the gratin potatoes that came with the main dish had a very runny consistency.
All good except our waitress was very grumpy and she showed no emotion or responded to the fact that I had said we were going to the theatre and would need to be quite quick. She was slightly short with me when I was trying to decide on a glass of wine and walked away leaving me to have 'more' time to think. I do like Cote Brasserie and this is the first time I have said anything slightly off about your restaurant. Food was great, thank you
The food was disappointing. The ingredients were excellent but the cooking was not. Cold food. Our waitress was too distracted with listening to other people's conversations and so we had to repeat our order a few times. Some of us got the proper cutlery some didn't. Won't be going again
This was another very enjoyable meal at Cote. The set menu is great value. Quality of food is consistently good and service is efficient and friendly.
Popped in for a quick meal after an afternoon shopping. Very nice meal calamari and flatbread with anchovies and olives very good followed by a wonderful fish stew was amazing. Good service, food and price.
Loved it!!! Food and service was excellent !!! We had the Pre Theatre Set Menu which was great. Superb choices and good value. We will be going again soon !!
Arrived a a busy time and unfortunately just after a large party. As a result the service was a bit slow but understandably so. Staff were friendly and efficient doing the best in the circumstances
There is only one thing I do not enjoy which is the range of soft drinks. I do not drink alcohol and always have to drink water as you do not have the drink of my choice which is ginger ale. I tolerate this because both the food and service are excellent!
