Delicious food- I had mussels to start and possibly best steak I've ever had. Excellent, attentive and friendly staff. We can't wait to return very soon!
Never failed us yet ! Superb meal and service as always. I have to do a minimum of 25 words to have this review posted but I have nothing else to say.
Lovely meal at Cotes Brasserie in Oxford, great food and lovely staff. Very busy as it was pre theatre time time not rushed at all just a very nice experience. I have been before and will definitely go again.
Had a lovely meal at Cote oxford - this time added spinach to our steak frites and it was delicious. My pea and mint soup was yummy and my husband's whitebait was good. The service is always pleasant and efficient - in all a really good experience.
Great food, nice atmosphere, and good waiter. We were not rushed for another sitting and enjoyed our early evening supper. Every one enjoyed their evening.
Always a pleasure to dine at Cote. It is probably one of the best value restaurants in the centre of town. Excellent food and good service. Staff response to those needing to go to the theatre
Delicious food and friendly service. We'd definitely go there again! And thanks for the little candle in my husband's dessert as it was his birthday.
Surprisingly large restaurant. Usual Cote menu - good value for money. Service a bit slow but it was very busy. Friendly staff. Would go again
Good food & service, the gluten free menu was excellent, a nice atmosphere to the restaurant. We would go back again a lovely evening all round
we were a family group of five. We were unhurried when we want to chat and the service was friendly, helpful and speedy when we needed it to be. Excellent food and a lovely relaxing evening.
I am a regular at other Cote Restaurants and genuinely think the formula is a winner. The range of dishes, quality, and price is hard to beat. Why just a '4'? Sadly on arrival we were initially seated by a table of 14 very loud young adults...so deafening we needed to be moved and this request was managed well by staff to a quieter area. One we had ordered....and no complaints there at all, there was quite significant delay in receiving food. Sadly as a group of 6 our main meals came in two batches, 5 mins apart which is far from ideal. I guess this is just a slightly off day, but I would certainly be coming back.
The duck was sublime and my creme brule was perfect. Unfortunately, my friend's profiteroles were truly awful. They did give her another one, but that was no better. However, they did take the cost of the dessert off the bill.
Coeliacs, and others, very well catered for. Why do you require 25 words. 1 q q with the same as the Staffordshire we are in
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cote Brasserie, Oxford, the only annoyance being the extremely noisy group on the adjoining table to us. However, the food and service were excellent with a good choice in all courses and all reasonably priced. We will certainly visit again the next time we come to Oxford.
The food was amazing and it came very quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. Also the staff were lovely very attentive and always checking how the food was.
Sorry but not much new to say ! We keep coming back because we know we can rely on the good friendly service, food and value for money !
The staff and the food were very pleasant as they usually are in Cote but we were in a small side room with tables pushed closely together and there was no atmosphere we felt as in the usual Cote restaurants we frequent.
Lovely service and food as usual, but they did add the price of 3 complimentary kir royale to the bill & it had to be pointed out
We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere was buzzing and the staff couldn't do anymore to help. I had the Eggs Royale and the others had the Full English, absolutely superb! One of the best breakfasts we've ever had!!
The food was excellent - delicious and varied, and we didn't leave the restaurant feeling much too full. And the welcome offer of the bottle of wine was kept and mentioned as we arrived. Very pleased, will definitely go again.
A surprisingly good value for money option in Oxford city centre. Good quality french-style food with much flavour and just the right portion size. Very helpful & pleasant staff. However, the 12.5% (optional) service charge seems a little excessive. A cosy, well-kept restaurant but can be very noisey at busy times. That aside, I have been numerous times and I intend to return again in the future.
Went for a birthday dinner. Was a lovely experience with kir royales on the house and then a creme caramel with a candle! Wonderful meal.
Very good meal. I would eat there again, if I were to be back in Oxford. Good and pleasant service. Nice ambiance. Good choice of dishes, well prepared, tasty and unshowy food.
Table of 9 of us for breakfast, everything was cooked beautifully and most importantly still hot! Coffee's are always great as well. Lovely waiting staff.
It was really nice. They took a bit long to bring our entrees but they realized that and did not charge us. Overall very nice as usual. We really like this restaurant.
The service was first rate and the food excellent. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for us. The early evening menu was excellent and very good value for money. We will certainly go back again and again.
My friend and I enjoyed an excellent dinner yesterday evening and an excellent breakfast this morning. The Assistant Manager, "Vlad", was particularly friendly and helpful and I have nothing but praise for him, the food and the restaurant itself. I would definitely go back there when next I am in Oxford. Ms S F Moultrie, 20th April 2017
As always, excellent service and excellent food at a great price. I come here regularly and am never disappointed. Set menu is a reliable bargain.
Cote Brasserie in Oxford is a good place to eat, whether it is for a quick meal or for something more. On this occasion we had lunch on a Sunday. It was so refreshing to be offered the usual menu rather than a selection of roasts and few other options. Our food was excellent, tasty and cooked just right. Service was good and friendly without being instrusive.
We had a lovely friendly welcome at the door even though we were a bit late, (parking in Oxford). We were served promptly with drinks and ordered from the A la carte menu. I had the warm goats cheese salad which was a very generous portion. We had theatre tickets so decided not to have dessert. Enjoyable time.
We visited Cote Brasserie in Oxford on Saturday. As always, we had very good food, good service, and there was a lovely atmosphere. We had a very pleasant evening al round.
Excellent food, delightful atmosphere and - as ever - genuinely friendly and attentive staff. (I do not need twenty five words, thank you very much.)
Excellent food and service, booked our favourite table as meeting friends for lunch and Cote is always our first choice with special set meals plus a la carte. The Breton Fish Stew is never a disappointment.
Good food, excellent waiter. We did not wait long to order or to receive our wine and starters. The menu offered a light option which meant that dessert was also possible. The lighting was good enough to see the meal and the temperature just right, although unseasonably chilly outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, which was a 40th wedding anniversary celebration and came away resolved to visit again. The surrounding diners all seemed to be enjoying themselves as well and I was not aware of any complaints.
We had a lovely time the food was as usual great, the ambiance is always good, and the staff could not have been more cheerful friendly and attentive
We managed to get a late table for six on a busy Saturday evening at very short notice. Great ambience, lovely food and friendly, polite and cheerful staff. Well done Cote!
Great athmosphere, friendly staff, splendid food. What more to say. Seems like every item on the menu is a winner. Very family friendly as well.
Lovely food and atmosphere, it was timely and tasty, great for pre theatre dinner. They turned so many people away so definitely glad we booked!
We had a lovely meal before our trip to the theatre, both the food and the service were excellent, could not fault a thing. Thank you.
Lovely evening. We were a group of 7 (pre-booked) on a busy Saturday night and service was quick and the staff were very polite. Food was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and we all enjoyed our time there. Would recommend.
