Côte St Albans

Attentive staff, quality food. Good observance of health and safety measures.

Food was good but server was sullen and rude. A 20 percent service charge was added without being asked which after the lack of service left a bad taste in the mouth. Despite that the steak was great and the beef bourgognon was very tasty. Starters were also good although desserts were pretty so-so.

Great food, attentive staff and lovely to experience our first meal out since lockdown here. I added a note to my booking that I have Coeliac disease, this was acknowledged by the host and she gave me the gluten free menu. We’ll be back!

Staff were friendly and attentive. Value for money - always know what we are getting . Filet stake cooked to perfection! Vert quiet - probably because it was a 9pm booking on a Wednesday!

Been on numerous occasions but was let down this time. Table's were being used for drinking only and minimum food, easier here than going to the pub. Food not good, seemed to be warmed up. Table in walkway so was constantly brushed by other people, not much social distancing. Watched minimum cleaning of table's, considering the circumstances at the moment didn't seem safe. St Alban's has plenty of other restaurants so probably won't return.

I always go to CÔTÉ and was looking forward to going back. Unfortunately we decided to sit outside. We had a table below us, which seemed like Senior Management of the establishment. They where having a conversation of the restaurant, waiters eg: Marco and mentioning the Hostess, being useless and not even able to open a bottle of wine. What was most offensive was the tune and the amount of swearing. I asked my partner, let’s move inside but he decline as the weather was nice. The amount of alcohol consumed a bottle of wine, 3 Rhubard Martinis, 2 cognac, a Kir Royal for the new guest on arrival and 2 Bloody Marys. By this stage we ask for bill, everything else was your prefect standard but the way the 2 managers management themselves - so unprofessional and totally ruined our come back dinner. Candles came out to late and the blankets where put over cushions like throws and just looked very untidy.

We were delighted to be back at Cote enjoying a night out. Obviously not as buzzy due to Covid spacing but still a great evening.

All staff very attentive & although table distancing was in place it was still a lovely atmosphere. As usual the food was excellent - no change there. Was a great feeling to be out & back in the Cote Brasserie again - thank you

Some mix up with bread and missed order for orange juice. Also, I would expect orange juice to come without ice, or at least a server should have asked.

we didn't plan to visit Cote St Albans for lunch but have visited many other branches. Our visit today was very enjoyable. Excellent welcome, friendly efficient staff, delicious food and drink, impressive COVID-19 guidelines adherence and clean toilets. Well done!

The staff at St. Albans were very professional, personable and attentive. My partner and I enjoyed our food very much and look forward to returning.

Courteous friendly and attentive staff, great food from a generous and varied menu at a very good price- what more could you ask for? I’ve been to several different Cotes in London and around the country and they never disappoint which sadly, is often the case with other chain restaurants.

Beautiful starters & steak, disappointed with the risotto which was served barely warm, Great service & felt very safe with the social distancing.

We had a very nice meal and it is good to be back.

Food was great lobster a reasonable size all was going well when there was a shift change this about 4 pm. We had finished our mains plates not cleared and then the service just disappeared us and several other customers were just left, people had to go to till to get a bill the sweet menu was thrown at us and we had to call a waiter for attention Really need to sort this out two couples walked out during this period tired of waiting for food or service

Loved the experience but found it a bit noisy. Just the excitement of everybody getting back together. We would have preferred the A la Carte Menu as we booked for 1.15 and were told at the table that the a la carte did not start until 2.00. Brunch was good but I would have liked my favourite Fish Parmienter! We will be back! Best wishes

The steak frites is my favourite. Such great flavour and the apple tart is the tastiest dessert I’ve had in a long time.

My partner and I went for an early meal before going to the cinema. There was no problem getting a table and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was okay but not as good as we’ve had there previously. The atmosphere was obviously quiet but I suppose that’s to be expected in the current circumstances. It seemed a bit expensive for what it was and considering the time of day. I’ve given it 5 stars overall as I’ve been there many times before and I know it can be very good.
