Côte Welwyn Garden City

We enjoyed another tasty meal from a good menu. Had helpful and efficient waiting staff and a very pleasant setting. It's becoming a firm favourite when we want to dine out.

Food was great as always! A friend had the baked Camembert and i wouldn't say it a proper main... However the service was very slow, we waited over 30min for our mains.

Apart from the obviously 'lost' order, with commensurate delay (offset by your Manegr kindly giving a discount) the standard of cooking left much to be desired. The Fried Tomato - wasn't - they were rock hard, the Bacon was only just about cooked, and very watery, and the Fried Eggs were only just about done (uncooked albumen was still obvious) All in all - POOR and we are unlikely to book again.

It was the fIrst time I had visited a Cote Brasserie & will definitely be returning. The food & customer service at the branch in Welwyn Garden City was very good. I can recommend the fish main courses, which were delicious & full of flavour. There is a wide choice on the menu, so plenty to work my way through.

It was my first time at Cotes and the service was great and the food was lovely too. I was also very impressed that they had a separate menu for vegetarians,. Which was amazing for me to see I had a choice to pick from, this hardly ever happens. Thank you

this is the third time I have been here and it far by the best place I've ever eaten , the staff are so welcoming and polite. The food is top quality and is so delicious . 100% will be going back there regular . please go you won't be disappointed

Every thing was good except for my wife's minute steak from the fixed price menu , which had too much pepper. We complained and she was given another steak with no pepper. This was excellent so very happy.min future when ordering we will say "no pepper please"

Have visited Côte on numerous and enjoy trying different dishes.The staff are friendly and the ambience is pleasant. Will be sitting outside in the good weather.

Service excellent. Scallops & fish stew excellent. Sea Bass a little dry. Wasn't too keen on the sauce. A bit creamy for me. Glasses of Sauv Blanc vg. Booked again for next week !

The staff make you feel so welcome and the meal I had was definitely slimming world friendly. Scallops followed by Hake yummy even had a gin & tonic

Gluten free menu available and no fuss made. Manager very knowledgeable so feel confident ordering and will return. A delicious breakfast in a lovely setting.

The restaurant was remarkably quiet, which was good as we could hear each other speak very easily. Our food was delicious and service very pleasant. The only small and bsurprising thing that we have noticed before is that it is difficult to catch anyone's eye when we want to pay at the end.

The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the food was good. Nice atmosphere inside and I imagine when the weather is better it would be nice to sit outside.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient, but you had runout of your house rose. We had your last 2 bottles of house white,which was good but it was your last 2. The next wine delivery will be in 2 days time!

Food was good but they forgot child's meal so he filled himself up on our chips and by the time the child's meal came out he didn't want it. Service was very slow. Had to wait 20 minutes for ice cream and child was becoming fractious. Had to wait another 15 for latte glasses as they had run out of clean glasses. Obviously not geared towards young children as no kiddies squash etc. .

The Breakfast formule was delicious and generous - the addition of a sliced avocado was a nice touch. The Staff were very attentive and friendly. The Brasserie is light and airy with a good atmosphere.

Service was great, lovely staff and good venue, but thought the food quality did not match the price, expensive for what it was and won't be going back.

Consistently good service and food. Took the early bird option last night and it is good value. Will return and we are looking forward to the August menu.

Food was lively. Staff very good but service was a little slow. We were ladies who lunch but we were also ladies who work who lunch so we needed to get back.

Great food and service but very noisy by 8pm making it difficult to talk with our friends across the table. Even the waitress had problems hearing us and making herself heard!

The staff were very welcoming. The restaurant is clean and lively. It makes me feel that I am in Paris. Best thing for me is the Entrecote de veau. Just love it!

We have already visited two times the restaurant as we were really satisfied after our first visit. The foods are really nice and delicious and the staff is very kind. Some of the desserts could be improved ie. chocolate pot (was grainy) and frozen berries wirh white chocolate (chocolate sauce was too buttery). The basic/house white wine tasted much better (felt fresher) than some of the more expensive ones. Apart from these personal opinions we really liked the restaurant and will return soon.

I have eaten here several times and the food and the service have been consistently great. Service is efficient but not hurried and the food is fresh and delicious. Not the cheapest eating out option but you get what you pay for.

A really enjoyable evening with good food and attentive service. I had veal which was excellent and my daughter had steak which she really enjoyed. Looking forward to a repeat visit.

Great service lovely menus as I'm on slimming world found several SW friendly dishes.🍷👍the staff are so polite and friendly and always get service with a smile.

We took friends there to share the 'early menu'. We all loved the variety of the Apri menu and the good value due to us being pensioners! At special times such as birthdays etc we go for the full menu and always love the quality and presentation of the food. The service of the staff is always impeccable and we look forward to our next visit - hopefully in warmer weather when we can dine al fresco!

Overall the food was nice but the service was slow, especially given that the restaurant was not full. They brought out a wrong starter and took an age to correct but one of the guests had a warm starter so had to eat his there and then whilst the others ate slow. The muscles I had with my main course could have done with a few trips to the gym and some steroids. It took 25 minutes to get a drink, not even water, after being seated at our table; presenting complimentary water at a table on arrival is not a complicated task. On paying the bill, they had charged us for the complimentary rewards bottle of wine, which was of course sorted but should not have been an issue in the first place.

Good service,food and left alone for group to chat. Peaceful. Reasonable price. The restaurant is very handy. Staff were very pleasant as the always are.

We have never been to the restaurant mid-afternoon before but we had the same excellent food and service. It was a little noisier with children crying etc, making it difficult to talk to each other, but that is not the restaurant's fault and we've been in that situation many years ago!!

Always attentive and friendly staff. Food as ever well presented and very tasty. Nice atmosphere and we enjoy the experience at welwyn coates. It won't be long before we go back.

This is my second early morning visit for the breakfast menu. The food is delicious and there is a variety to choose from. I have sampled the full English breakfast & the crepe complete, both of which I would have no hesitation in ordering again. The staff were friendly and it is a very relaxing atmosphere, making it an enjoyable start to the day.

Excellent food, good choice and all delicious. Could have been in France, very authentic. Service was really good and helpful and polite. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I was disappointed with the Chips they were not tasty at all. I also paid £29.00 for a bottle of Flueri that was average. That apart the service was good and the staff as always were excellent.
