Côte Welwyn Garden City

This was a family meal for my birthday. We ordered a £50 bottle champagne and our meal. Drinks arrived and after wait our meal, well 3 of the 4 meals. My medium rare steak was over cooked, the waitress took it back. After another 5 minutes our daughters meal arrived her steak was rare and not medium well done as requested! We spoke to senior staff member who took her meal away. By the time our meals arrived my husband and son had finished their's, the vegetable sides dishes were stone cold. The evening of celebrating was tainted! Fortunately they where aware of the terrible service and as soon as the table was cleared we were told the delayed/incorrect steaks would not be put on the bill. We were also given complimentary drinks. We were only charged for the champagne and the 2 correct meals.

Great food but the usual quality of service dropped off on this visit. The waiter kept saying it was due to it being the new season menu but we couldn't see why that should make any difference.

Warm welcome, good service, my risotto was tasty but my friend's veggie sausage fish was a little dry. Would certainly visit again. Top kir royale!

We enjoyed a very nice meal. It was delicious and we thought good value. It helped the sun shone and we sat outside which was lovely

Waitress lauren was very well informed and suggested a wine which we loved. Food cooked perfectly although we find that the menu hadn't changed much

Love this place for a relaxing breakfast. Food is of a high standard as is the service. Plenty to choose from, so gradually working my way through the menu.

Second time there within the last month. Even though it was very busy and they had a few parties, the service was still excellent. 😊

We had a choice of where we sat. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were friendly. An efficient service with a good selection on the menu.

The restaurant was fully booked early on Friday evening but the service was excellent, quick and attentive. Their Anniversary menu was great value and the quality of food excellent. Well worth a visit.

Great staff, friendly efficient , good at recommending wine, and my roast chicken was so huge they wrapped half in a foil to look like a chicken ! ...,,fun touch! The food was great too

Food all good. Service inconsistent and twice one diner waited for items long after others served. Seemed short staffed but overall experience satisfactory. Maybe lack of direction too. Seemed more interested in clearing up than finishing serving.

Friendly reception ,rapid service . Excellent food and wine. Very clean and pleasant seating and decor. Pleasant views of the gardens . Comfortable environment and access.

We had a Great breakfast at Cote. The service was great and the food was excellent. Good value for money. I would definitely visit again

Had a lovely lunch with a friend today. We started with a Kir Royal, followed by steak and salad. For naughty dessert we chose a creme caramel, which always tastes delicious and a portion of iced berries with a white chocolate sauce. I can highly recommend our choice of food.

As per previous visits to this restaurant, good quality food with sensible sized portions and enthusiastic service. Can't fault anything really. Will continue to be on our visit list when we're in the mood.

Delicious vichyssoise, hake perfectly cooked, creme caramel to die for, as usual! Good, attentive, polite service. I find it is always a pleasure to eat here.

The food was awesome - really tasty - I thought the attitude of the staff was not as professional as we have previously experienced - this will deter me from returning - also 10% was added which came to £21 - we would not have tipped that much.

we had a nicely cooked English breakfast, with coffee, orange juice and toast in very pleasant surroundings and attended by a friendly and helpful waiter.

Three of us had an excellent two course lunch chosen from the set menu. The surroundings are very pleasant, with a view over the Parkway. The service was good, and the overall experience enjoyable.

Another fab meal at Cote! You can't go wrong with the steak frites, so much so that I can't bring myself to order anything else! My husband had the vegetable risotto though which I tried and was really tasty.

Fantastic service and lovely food. A great night out with friends. Excellent and patient waitress who was attentive but also happy to let us talk and catch up and never rushed us.

Staff was very nice, polite and caring. We sat outside as it was a gorgeous afternoon. Menu was not very exciting, the same list of drinks.

To me the Cote Brasserie experience is always a good one always very good food at a great price and very good service. Cote is great for breakfast lunch and dinner definitely my very favorite in Welwyn Garden City.

A good selection of dishes, freshly prepared, very pleasant and helpful staff, good wine list. All round excellence. I look forward to the monthly change of the Set Menu. Everybody I've dined with has enjoyed the experience.

excellent food and superb service in delightful surroundings this was our fourth visit to Cote and we will definitely be returning . the restaurant was very busy but the staff were superb
