Côte Windsor Restaurant

Excellent lunchtime celebration in a very convivial atmosphere with excellent service and very tasty fare. Many thanks to the Cote team at Windsor. Everyone of our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

A few hiccups..... The wait to be seated was long, and the queue out the door, despite having reservations. Food was good, service was friendly but not very attentive. Just didn’t seem to have enough staff. Toilets incredibly cramped. BUT overall the experience was enjoyable, celebrating a birthday with good friends in a beautiful setting, and would certainly return in the future.

Great location but service was SO slow. We waited nearly an hour just to get our drink! Food was ok but nothing special. Slightly underwhelming

We’ve been here twice now. The staff have on both occasions been very friendly and professional. Will definitely be booking again.

Seating arrangement was very poor in that it was like an after thought. My partner sat on a extremely poor condition sofa which she had to share with someone else. It just wasn't the experience l expected at a quality restaurant. I had a 10 oz Sirloin steak which was very poor at £18.95. Staff were friendly though maybe just a bad day.

Great overall .Nice food, friendly staff, amazing venue. Only problem was the noise,Downstairs area was closed so upstairs was completely full and we could not hear each other speak.

I was there with my wife for our anniversary and had previously rang to book a table with a river view. Initially we were shown to our table which was not a river view. However the staff were great and found us another table downstairs with a river view. The food service and staff was great. On asking for the bill we’d been given another tables bill which was a fair amount less than ours, the waitress went away and came back with the correct bill. She said due to our honesty she would waive the service charge, a nice gesture and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Had to wait 30mins after our booking time, but team did there best to recover the situation. All parties enjoyed the food

We go to many Cote restaurants and Windsor is our favourite.We had an excellent lunch today, both the food and service. Our one disappointment was that the veal, which is the April special ,was not available and this was at 12.15!My husband had been really looking forward to the veal and felt it should be available for the whole of April if it is the special. Another point, recently we have not received e mail confirmation of our bookings,not just at Windsor branch. I wrote to Cote head office to tell them and did not receive a reply, bad customer service in my opinion. I thought they would want to know.

Lovely lunch with work colleagues, sitting in the conservatory, over looking the Thames. Food and service was great and good choice in lunch fixed menu, and great value.

The food was delicious (the french onion soup was mouth wateringly good) and the staff were welcoming and personable. Beautiful location.

Very pleasant staff, lovely restaurant and great food. We went in the evening so didn’t appreciate the views over the river but I imagine they would be beautiful in the daylight.

Food and service were excellent.Apartfromthe fact one of the meals was not as hot as it should have been however the Manager adjusted the bill to compensate. We will definitely be back.

Lovely location and the best breakfast in Windsor. Love coming here! The cooked breakfast deal is very good value and is delicious. Would highly recommend a visit.

We had a young South African waiter who was absolutely excellent. Food was great, pleased to see a change of menu as we eat at Cote regularly and fantastic value for money. Well done

Beautiful setting . but busy ,so less attention given to details of customers needs or timings of food ie coffee ten minutes before your dessert arrives waiter argued that coffee always comes before your dessert. Our meal ended with a sad face. Hoping next time is better .

Lovely location for a meal with friends. Tables are well spread out so you are not on top of other diners. Had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend. Bit slow with coming over for initial drinks order but otherwise great! Will return.

We are frequent diners at Cotes de Brasserie because of the good food. Unfortunately on this occasion, our meals were very disappointing due to the very tough steaks. The staff were their usual polite and helpful selves, but were extremely busy, hence I didn’t raise this issue with them at the time.

The service was excellent as always and the food is always top quality and well cooked. The complementary kir royale for my birthday was a lovely gesture. It's my favourite restaurant in Windsor.

Steak ordered medium rare, served medium. Waiter forgot one starter and a couple of drinks .. teething trouble, but not Côte's usual level

superb staff , food and ambience and riverside location is perfect .will definitely visit again very soon . so happy to be local and visit regularly

Loved the restaurant , loved the food, loved the table and views, staff all very pleasant and professional .Only minor issue was a group of lady’s close to us that were far too loud which took a little of the shine off but it wouldn’t discourage us to come again .

Very accommodating for our group of hens, exceptionally good service and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks.

A great restaurant for any occasion. The food is always tasty, well presented and hasn’t been hanging around in the kitchen so mains nice and hot. I can’t fault the service by friendly and business like waiters. I introduced friends to the experience last night and they were very impressed.

Love the montly cocktail. Our host was very attentive. Food,good and we had plates rapides as we were going to the theatre. We had plenty of time to enjoy the meal.

It was OK. The steak was good, the mussels were good, t he chips were cold but the strangest thing was waiting 10 minutes to be seated!

Very enjoyable Wedding Anniversary lunch. Food and service, excellent as usual in all your restaurants and of course the location in Windsor would be difficult to beat. Loved the complimentary Negroni aperitif. As I sat looking at the Union Flag fluttering in the breeze I wondered if you flew the French tricolour on Bastille Day? Then the flags for St David's Day 1st March, St Patrick 17th March, St George 23rd April, and St Andrew on 30th November. Would seem appropriate in a town like Windsor. Regards, David.

Birthday meal for four but couldn’t hear each other due to noise in conservatory and screaming children. Disappointing service from Three different waiters/waitress - couldn’t hear our order, got the order wrong three times, had to wait for fifteen minutes to pay the bill after asking for it. Food was average

My third visit here, again staff running around like headless chickens. Shame as venue is stunning, again had to chase our order and even when we received our meal it was not correct, we then spoke with the manager whom kindly resolved the issue

As usual we enjoyed and excellent lunch at Cote Windsor. Great food, good ambiance and most importantly - excellent service. Nice to have to complimentary cocktails too!

I booked a table for two and although there were many tables available we were given a table which had no views while our intention to have a meal with a river view. we asked the waiter to move us somewhere else and he again showed us a table next to the bar and enterence with a limited view. he didnt wipe the table properly. After us another couple came and he promised them to give them a table with a view although they didnt have any booking. We left the restaurant immediately after this waiter’s disrespectful approach.

It was very nice to meet friends at Cote Windsor where we could have a nice open view around Windsor Castle. Good Quality of food which are well cooked and kindly served. My friends including myself had a lovely Sunday morning at Cote Windsor.

The restaurant was extremely busy and seemed under staffed. Our waiter looked after a lot of tables and 2 starter meals failed to arrive but he was so charming, attentive and respectful it made up for the error. The following courses arrived super quick. The food was full of flavour and venue lovely with good views. Would not hesitate to return or recommend.

View - superb Quality of Food - good Service - Good Ambience - Good **Ladies Toilets - very poor space in cubicles. One guest was worried she would not be able to get out.

We Enjoyed all our food and the relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. All our food was cooked well and nicely presented especially the creme caramel.

I had lunch with an old friend but we where constantly interrupted by people just popping in for coffee over lunch, you should think about separating lunch and coffee guests?

We have used Cotes in Bray many times and have had a great time with great food in a wonderful location. Unfortunately this time 3 of my guests had the chicken pate as a starter which had mould on the top. This was quickly and professionally remedied and was not charged to my bill but this was a little disappointing. This is why I have reduced my rating on food on this occasion. Looking forward to the next visit though.

Came today because of the new vegetarian menu with friends. The vegetarian menu was really appreciated by our guest and the three other people chose from the lunchtime set menu which was of good proportions, very hot and very tasty

This was a very special occasion as it was my wife's 70th birthday and we had booked to go to the Theatre Royal afternoon show. My wife is gluten sensitive and there was plenty of choice for her. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was first rate. Highly recommended

Fabulous food, requested river view seating, thus was ready when we arrived. excellent service not too attentive just right and very polite Will definitely be going again soon

We are regular visitors to Cote in Marlow and have always been happy with the food and service, however our visit to Windsor was a great disappointment. When we arrived for our 7.00pm booking we were offered the set menus even though they finished at 7.00pm. We had to wait for our friends ,so did not start ordering until 7.20. We asked if it was still ok to order and told yes, then the head waitress/manager told us to order quickly and it would all be at the prestige price. The service thereafter was poor, the attitude of this manager was surly and the table was not cleared properly leaving some main dishes behind. The bill was requested and then needed to be chased,all in all a poor experience.

Staff and food were excellent. we always take our house guests there.
