Average attention from staff, very dry chicken that had to be returned. Three menus as well as the drinks list to select from only to be told that as the meal wasn't selected from the 'correct' menu there would not be any champagne! I won't be going there again.
Decent food at decent prices! The deserts were lovely and actually nicer than the main meal, truth be told, but we enjoyed ourselves and thought t was good value. The setting next to the river is the best part of the restaurant & it's well worth a visit.
Food was absolutely lovely and very well presented. A Lovely lunch by the river on the terrace outside - perfect location for hot summers day.
Welcoming smile. Table by window as requested Excellent service and food. Definitely going back again Amazing value for money and good choice. Fantastic setting on the river too
What an amazing lunch, great value, tasty and you couldn't ask for a better location. I would definitely recommend it to any of my friends
Food was fine and the waitress was pleasant. The staff were fairly busy and it was difficult to 'catch their eye' if a problem arose. In short; good value for money in a pleasant setting.
Very busy but staff coped. Great seat by the doors overloooking the bridge. Food was excellent and the wine good and reasonably priced. We were' nt hurried
Beautiful restaurant with a lovely ambience. Offering a good choice of dishes and particularly good for brunch which is difficult to find. Service generally good and most of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely looking forward to next time.
Great food, service was excellent. It was a very warm evening & we had a table overlooking the river with open doors & there was a lovely breeze coming through. Couldn't have done more.
Good food and service - wonderful location on the banks of the Thames - good company and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
This was our third visit to Cote Windsor this year so they must be doing things right! The service was, as usual, excellent and the Set menu interesting.
Good food, great service. Terrible toilets tiny and grimy. If you are more than a size 12/14 you will struggle to close the doors. There is a disabled loo but it looked pretty grim. Great location by the river but the loo's need to be sorted
Really excellent food and service ,very polite staff , lovely location ,nice outside seating with views of castle on the riverside , very relaxing thanks
Excellent table overlooking the river/castle - thank you for that.. First class service, engaging waiter, friendly and smiling . Wonderful tasty food. Good value. Well done!
Staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Our two guests were truly impressed as they had never been to a Cote Brasserie before.
excellent service, arrived early which was no problem and had a lovely table overlooking the river. Fabulous weather too. Food very good and water was quickly topped up.
Fab restaurant, lovely location with view of the river Excellent food and service. Our waitress couldn't have been more friendly, pleasant and eager to please. Thank Cotes we will be back soon.
The food was good but service very poor. They forgot our drinks I reminded them when they arrived with food. We were also a set of cutlery short and we asked for these. They never appeared but as I had muscles and didn't need mine I was able to give them to my brother to save further waiting. My husband was then given his cold beer with a hot glass. He went up to the counter to ask for a cold one and was told that was how they came. Another equally hot one was then bought to the table which we refused and suggested he put in the freezer for a few minutes. Eventually we got a cold glass. Had it not been a birthday treat for my 87 year old mothere I would have asked for the manager to complain further but I didn't want to spoil her day. The waiter made no attempt to apologise at any point
Lovely venue, food good but let down by getting bill. Once a table has been cleared the waitress should either come ask if you would like something else or the bill. Had to go and ask for own bill to pay.
As always food and experience excellent. Not quite top marks as I was unable to get a table I had requested as it was very busy.
Waiting staff very good, food good. Even though we had booked and restaurant was half empty could not get a seat near window staff not very accommodating.
I liked the food but was disappointed with size of the coffee cup very small like an egg cup staff were slow as well took 15 mins before served
The service was perfect! The food was delicious and the location of the resturant is fantastic! I will definitely come back and recommend you to my friends. Thank you
Excellent meal and very good service . As lovely evening managed to have a table by the river what more would you wish fora day great company.
Lovely situation on the Thames, good staff, good food, easy to park in Eton car park and two minute walk to restaurant overlooking Windsor castle
Sitting on the Thames having dinner the sun was shinning and the meal was excellent, what a great way to spend a night. Service was fluent and staff were very friendly. Prices were surprising... we had ate elsewhere the night before and paid the same amount for a lot less..the fish dishes were full of flavour (fish stew a must to order)and portions were just enough.. will certainly be back if we are ever down in Windsor again.
Good location , food excellent value for money, pity that the acoustics at tables behind the bar (street entrance level). Its restricts one ability to have a private conversation. Also there appears to be no disabled access to lower level and toilets. There may be but the member of staff we spoke to did not know of any.
It was okay and the food was tasty but the table service was extremely slow! Slightly unfortunate as we were attending for a family celebration.
Sat on the terrace next to the river. Had a lovely pre Theatre meal of seafood linguine, tune rillettes and peach crumble and ice cream
Meet and greet was under pressure at the door with little space for people to queue. Our main courses took a long time to arrive - croquet Monsieur and seafood pasta - we felt it had been forgotten and had to ask about it (prob 30 mins plus but didn't time it). The Croque was very unpleasant - the bottom being all white and soggy. I didn't mention until the plates were collected as I couldn't face another lengthy wait. We did get a free dessert. Won't go to Windsor again. Normally use Richmond or St Martin's both of which have been faultless.
My guest and I dined on a Friday evening at around 6.30pm. The restaurant was not entirely full but busy. Our waiter seemed unable to cope and, for the entire evening, served our table with a very unpleasant and resentful manner. I am a frequent diner at Cote due to its high quality of food however on this occasion it was far from. Chicken was dry, vegetables soggy and the wine too warm.
Stunning view of the Thames, great food and excellent service. Would thoroughly recommend going here for a date night as we did. Nice walk along the river afterwards too!
Unusually the food was not that good. Under cooked french beans and luke warm dauphinois potatoes. Two of the three mains were not particularly tasty. This is all really unusual as we choose Cote over other chains because the food quality is normally very good.
I have been to Cote many a time . The food and service is consistently good . The staff very friendly and accommodating . Sitting at the tables on the outside patio gives breathtaking views of the river .
Booked as a birthday dinner... No Kir royal drinks given on arrival. Order the pate for starter had to send it back as it was off. Table was the smallest in the restaurant, more of a drinks table. Rose wine was warm had to ask for ice. Overall not impressed. I was going to buy a friend gift vouchers for his 50th birthday so didn't bother.
Lovely lunch overlooking the river. Attentive but not obtrusive service, we'll be going again. It was a hot day, but no problem as all the windows were open making for a very pleasant atmosphere.
When we arrived it took quite a while for us to received our drinks ordered, my grandson got his breakfast ages before we got ours s he was finished before any of us had started, we had requested a second croissant that never arrived, there was broken glass on the floor near our table, very dangerious, I had to find someone to request our bill as we had waited for 10minutes and no one had been in the area where we were seated namely outside, so a little disappointed with the experience, also seeing as this was a special start to my birthday celebrations, so not a good start
Fantastic food, service and location at reasonable prices. Perfect location right on the river Thames. Seating inside or outside. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great quality food.
We had a perfect table over looking the river but not in the direct sunlight - ideal. The Service was excellent, not too pushy and allowing plenty of time - but the food came without delay once ordered. The Fish Stew was as always a really good choice and my friends tuna salad delicious. We will certainly be returning
Three of us had a set menu lunch at Cotes yesterday. The food was first class and although extremely busy we received our food without having to wait too long. The waiters and waitresses worked very hard and always had a smile. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant and I use this venue frequently.
great as always, good quality reasonable price and location is ideal. sometimes a little noisy depending on where you are sitting, looking forward to next visit
Always love Cote. All the restaurants have the same high standards, good food, reasonable prices, great staff. What else can I say? Lovely lovely lovely.
When we arrived my request for a window table (as this was a special occasion) had been noted and we had a lovely table view. The staff were very helpful, nothing to much trouble. The food was amazing and we were not rushed at any time. Our guests really enjoyed their first visit and I am sure like us, they will return. Many thanks to one and all.
Excellent lunch, restaurant in a great position by the Thames next to Etonian Bridge. Great choice on the set menu and very attentive service. Will definitely visit again.
We ate from the two course set menu. Very good variety with about five choices per course. Lively atmosphere, good service. Will definitely be returning.
We had a great meal on the Saturday night. The food was lovely and the service was brilliant. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
Food is always excellent as well as the service. Lovely setting too. We went for a light supper before our theatre show and both thoroughly enjoyed our evening, especially as we had a voucher from the theatre for a kir royale, highly recommended.
Table of 5 booked, ready on arrival. Great setting with window position overlooking the river. Excellent food - fresh and hot. Outstanding friendly and professional service.
Food was good, thought staff bickered waiters and runners with comments and moods whilst waiting wouldn't recommend sitting close to serving area and saw on couple of occasions staff rude behind customers
There was a very good range of items on the menu, and we all had a very pleasant meal. The service was good too, and we were seated and served quite quickly.
