Excellent meal! Tables a bit close to each other, but managed OK. Service very good. French 75 could have been served in a nicer glass.

We had a delightful meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly and attentive staff. We eat at Cote whenever the opportunity arises - York is the nearest restaurant to where we live but - wherever we are in the Country if there is a Cote we will be eating there. Our first was Cambridge a good number of years ago and have been enjoying the experience ever since.

Every thing was amazing we thought it was only a little place but surprise how big it was inside the staff were all very attentive and really good from the start. The food was amazing I tried the steak tar tar which I’ve never had out and it was amazing couldn’t fault it the Alain’s and the dessert were equally as good but what made it better was you sang happy birthday to my fiancé and gave us complimentary fizz defo coming back thank you for an amazing night

This was our second visit to a 'Cote Brasserie', the first being in Covent Garden. We had a very enjoyable meal in London and our experience in York was also excellent. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the menu gave a very varied choice. The meal was excellent and red wine superb. We will most certainly go again.

Went for the St Valentines special menu, there was a good choice and the quality of food was excellent. As good as Michelin but better value and good sized portions. The staff were very friendly and attentive; one of my favourite restaurants in York!

Our visit to Cote was enjoyable as always. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is consistently good. We were taking advantage of the complimentary gin and tonic offer for March, which was an added bonus.

Excellent food with excellent service. Two adults and two children under five looked after. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a meal in York city centre.

My wife’s meal, eggs benedict had luke warm eggs. Poached eggs are not great when not warm!! We did mention this to the waitres when she asked how the meal was!

We sat in the back room and the restaurant was quiet . I feel we could have had a table nearer the front which was busier. It did not stop us enjoying ourselves .

We enjoyed a very pleasant meal. The cuisine was excellent and well up to standard we have come to expect of all the restaurants in this chain.

Great experience overall - from the greeting at the door right through to settling the bill. Food was outstanding - we ordered from the set menu and were not disappointed at all. My steak was excellent and the Bereton Tomato starter was exceptionally tasty.

I am french and I can tell you that I loved this meal, it reminded me home. I advice this restaurant for everyone, including french people, you will not be desappointed.

As usual the staff were very friendly and professional and there was a lovely atmosphere. The food was up to it's usual high standard. All in all another pleasant Cote visit and I look forward to coming back again.

Excellent service and food, the waiter was fantastic and kept checking we were happy with everything. The food was delicious, and served without having to wait long. Really good meal would recommend.

Always an enjoyable experience and the staff are always fabulous! We are continually welcomed and when clocking off the staff come to say goodbye. Sadly this time the mains were not as warm as they could have been in fact cold and the fish pie sauce was split but knowing the staff and how great they are it wouldn’t have rested well to bring this to their attention

Everything went well - our waiter was great dealing with such a large party and the good was absolutely superb no complaints from anyone although we did have a long wait for dessert. Highly recommended
