Côte York

Lovely food, we were a party of 10 but everything arrived on time and everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was always pleasant and courteous. Great evening.

As usual the staff were very friendly and professional and there was a lovely atmosphere. The food was up to it's usual high standard. All in all another pleasant Cote visit and I look forward to coming back again.

My favourite restaurant for dates or with the whole family. Excellent service in terms of speed and personality, and the food didn't take long to get to us. The ribeye steak was delicious, can't wait to return next.

Excellent service and food, a good choice of reasonably priced breakfast items. The high standard that you always expect from Côte are in evidence at Côte York. Restaurant was busy but impeccably clean and service efficient but unhurried. Highly recommended.

Made very welcome. 70 to 7 all happy. 7 yr old review the choc mousse was awesome. Starters good, steak good. Friendly attentive staff. Will come again 😊

Excellent service as always, however one of male waiters seemed to have a little arrogance, which wasn’t very appreciative, however this did not spoil our visit.

We regularly have breakfast at this restaurant (and are always satisfied) but this was our first time for an evening meal. Apart from the sauci sou on my starter being sliced too thick, which made it difficult to chew, and the courgette on my lamb main being raw, which gave me indigestion, I was happy with the experience. This was the first time I had been able to claim my cote reward free bottle of wine and this was achieved thanks to the very helpful Charlotte.

Good food at a good price and the quality is always the same.

Service incredibly slow, noise level at times so bad unable to have a conversation. This was mainly due to one waiter..

Really lovely meal, very tasty with good portion size. Excellent value for money and very good service too. Would recommend Cote to anyone visiting York.

We had a delightful meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly and attentive staff. We eat at Cote whenever the opportunity arises - York is the nearest restaurant to where we live but - wherever we are in the Country if there is a Cote we will be eating there. Our first was Cambridge a good number of years ago and have been enjoying the experience ever since.

Lovely family night out celebrating our wedding anniversary. Only issue no bread offered with soup and mussels even though you could see a huge basket of baguettes

Excellent service, nice atmosphere , not too noisy! House wine is excellent, one small issue with cold food handled well. Not too expensive either. Been here many times and always enjoyed it

Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Really enjoyed everything and were made to feel special on our anniversary. We’ll definitely be back!

Overall food was very good, apart from the risotto which was tasteless and bland, had to be sent back. (Wasn't charged for). Service was trying to be effecient, without making eye contact or a smile. Forgot three separate items which were asked for. Not once came back to us to ask if everything was to our satisfaction. Not enough staff to cover and give excellent customer service.

Every thing was amazing we thought it was only a little place but surprise how big it was inside the staff were all very attentive and really good from the start. The food was amazing I tried the steak tar tar which I’ve never had out and it was amazing couldn’t fault it the Alain’s and the dessert were equally as good but what made it better was you sang happy birthday to my fiancé and gave us complimentary fizz defo coming back thank you for an amazing night

Côte York is a regular favourite for us. The service is always lovely and friendly. Menu offers consistently good food and it is reasonably priced - especially the two course menu.

Cannot fault the experience we had the other night. We had a voucher as part of York restaurant week and we've never been but it has always been on our list to try. We were not disappointed. Food was amazing, in particular the belly pork was delicious and loved that you get dauphinoise potatoes with it instead of having to pay extra. We had 3 courses and each one was delicious and the service was incredible. Very friendly staff and quick service between courses. We had a voucher for another restaurant and the experience was no way near what we recieved here, we felt looked down upon in the other restaurant but here we were welcomed and treated just like everyone else. We will certainly be returning here again. Thank you!

Visited on a Tuesday and found the usual high standard of service. Efficient & unobtrusive. Food was excellent and a very nice evening was had by all.

A fantastic night. We were celebrating 2 peoples 60th. The restaurant had got then both some flowers. A lovely idea. The food was great. The prestige set menu is great value. The service we got was fantastic. Cannot fault anything.

Authentic French setting with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Service is very good and the quality of the food is excellent. A real pleasure to eat there.

Very nice staff. Too many choices and pricing levels. It gets confusing when there are 4 people trying to talk, and choose from 3 menu options. Remember coming to Cote a few years ago and the choice was more straightforward - basically eat the £10 lunch or choose from the regular menu. Having said all that, our friends were impressed and the food we chose was delicious. Once again, staff we attentive, efficient and friendly.

As always the food and ambience were terrific There are always great things to go for on the menu - we’ve never been disappointed - pretty good wine too

Very nice. Little blip over the starter! The lady misheard what I’d asked for, but it was very quickly rectified. All in all a very nice meal.

We were looked after very well and the food was great

Both my husband and myself enjoyed our meals. The only negative was the asparagus on my meal accompanying the lamb . Some people might not see this as a negative but I thought the time between courses was a bit too fast . If we had been given a little more time we probably would have had a pudding.

Unfortunatly no scallops left but otherwise excellent as always. The suggested wine match was superb.

We are regular visitors to Côte and enjoyed our evening. Service was good and friendly and the food consistent as usual. Our friends were impressed. We will be visiting again soon.

Reasonably good food and a reasonable value. Service was not bad, but could use improvement. Perhaps just an inexperienced waiter. I would go again, but it would not be my first choice.

Staff helpful and attentive. But several dishes on the set menu were sold out. My mussels were basically inedible- cracked shells or unopened. Lardons rock hard. I told the waiter who said he would mention it. But heard nothing more. Really not good enough- potentially dangerous to eat. Coffee extremely bitter - I like strong but this was unpleasant. Booked for dinner with senior colleagues- won’t be back

Steaks were some of the best I've had anywhere. Really impressed. As usual the service was great and a fantastic Friday evening atmosphere. Also very much enjoyed the Coupe Noir (ice cream and hot chocolate sauce with crispy biscuit).

Very good. The food was tasty and good value for money. As this restaurant is part of a chain, we go there because we know we will be served a good meal. Sometime we go for brunch too, that is always very good. The staff were attentive but not gushing all over us.

My wife’s meal, eggs benedict had luke warm eggs. Poached eggs are not great when not warm!! We did mention this to the waitres when she asked how the meal was!

Very polite and helpful staff. We had 3 children with us and helped us with the tables and the babychairs very fast. Food is always a guarantee at Cote! Just awesome! The calamari, steak, chicken.. wow! I would definitely suggest you to go and I know I will visit again for sure!

Excellent service, as usual with a special mention to Giuseppe. All our meals were delicious and excellent value for money.

A bit lacking in atmosphere compared to normal. Wasn't keen on the poussin, a bit too highly flavoured due to the marinade, however this is a personal view. Cornish new potatoes a bit 'al dente' which in my view doesn't work with potatoes. Overall a good meal but not up to the usual high standard set at this restaurant. My two companions enjoyed their meals. The cocktails and the wine were excellent.

Always good. Clean, efficient, friendly and very tasty. Simple food , cooked well at a good price point. Thanks for getting us in and out quickly to get to the cinema on time!

Everything went well - our waiter was great dealing with such a large party and the good was absolutely superb no complaints from anyone although we did have a long wait for dessert. Highly recommended
