Some friends and I went for dinner on Saturday 1 December. We waited a really long time to have any drinks orders taken, the restaurant was a bit chaotic and none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. We tried to order our food 4 times but on each occasion a different member of the waiting staff came back after 10 mins to say that one of the items we'd ordered wasn't available. In the end after being there for an hour and still not being able to successfully place a food order we left and went over the road to a different restaurant. We ended up eating at 10pm having originally made a reservation at Cote D'Azur for 8pm!
Worst dining experience. Got sat down at our table. Took 20 mins to take our drink order. The lady who took out order was unable to take a food order. When we were eventually approached to order food. We were rudely told it was full and they were short staffed so would be waiting for minimum 30-45 mins. We would have left then but had ordered a bottle of wine (£25) so ordered our food. Then after another 25mins had passed and other diners were complaining they had waited over an hour for there starters. So we asked the waitress if they had started making our food as if not we would like to cancel. She promptly brought our bill then continued to tell us that she tried to warn us we would be waiting ages and was so rude and arguentative. I would NEVER go to this restaurant again. We left and had a lovely meal a few doors down
Awful experience. Service was appalling. After 2 hours we had only received our starter. One group at another table had left. the restaurant was half empty and no one had food on their table. After the two hours we were asked to leave as they couldn't fulfil our order! They must be in trouble we have eaten here before and not had any problem. Very disappointed no explanation just no food. Had a much nicer reception at Little Bay further down the road, great ambience great food.
Fantastic original menu food of the highest quality by very professional staff value for money and foods cooked fresh to order we will be back thank you
It was disappointing to say the least !!!! I am currently in a kebab place getting some food as the chef at cote d’azur abandoned his responsibilities and we were left with no food and a bill of wine to pay. I am shocked at how badly my evening went and don’t think I should have paid for anything today. Ruined my date nigh, which anyone who has children can tell you, is such a special time for couples 😖😖😖 STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!
Food wasn’t really good (some of it was frozen and then cooked which left an extremely bland taste) , service was okay but could Be improved e.g. punctuality on service, information provided, general vibes coming from the servers.
Good food but took extremely long to come. We had to ask for our drinks Starters came but the mains came half an hour later. I got mine and the duck was good! But two of my friends orders were sent to another table! It was Comedy circus with new staff , have to say the food was good u can’t fault it!
I was not overly impressed with the food. It would have been helpful as first timers to be guided to the popular cuisines on the menu, rather than us selecting items that were not available from the menu. Prices was decent for set menus, though. Nice feel to the restaurant though, staff were friendly
great service the whole time I was there with my company, it was a birthday dinner and the staff were very attentive and the food was good too
This was our second visit in 3 weeks, so we obviously liked it. Food is excellent. Our only criticism is that the service is slow, albeit that the staff are very friendly.
The food is excellent and fairly priced. There is a heavy emphasis on fish dishes, which are served in a variety of different and tasty ways and a lot of care goes into their presentation. My husband’s rib eye steak from the set menu was very good and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend.
Delicious food with amazing flavours. My husband loved the crab soup which reminded him of Home (Mauritius), I had the trio of fish which was gorgeous and he had the rougail prawns. Our son had a very generous portion of mussels. Waiting staff was very friendly.
