Took my Daughters to lunch today as the eldest was celebrating a birthday. As usual a nice friendly welcome to the restuarant and we were quickly shown to our table. The wiater was attentive but gave enough time and space for us to select drinks and our food order. A complimentary glass of fizz for brought for the birthday girl. Nice touch is bringing over water for the table. Food was brought to table steaming hot and was delicious apart from the birthday girls meal as she had plumped for the goats cheese salad, which she alo thought very good but so much she just couldn't manage it. The Daughters had a dessert and again a lovely touch was the waiter brought the birthday girl her dessert with a candle in it and sang happy birthday to her. She did admit to loving the attention. All in all a great experience, we will be back.

Really great service as always, today our waiter was Sam, who was knowledgeable and friendly. They knew we were celebrating and he had left a handwritten note welcoming us to Cote, which was lovely. Really good meal, however the tuna Niçoise salad was disappointing. The tuna was cooked to perfection, however the whole dish was very peppery, I only seemed to have the bitter centre part of the lettuce, and the black olives here are more like raisins than olives. It’s a shame, and I do wish they would change them. Calamari was superb, and the steak tartare well executed. Our daughter had the pork belly, which she always chooses and says is the best dish there. Thank you for the celebratory champagne and a lovely evening.

My wife and I enjoyed to sta with you on that Wednesday night. First outside for a drink, later inside for the regular dinner. The service was excellent as both the waiters and waitresses did their utmost to make us feel welcome and comfortable. However the food did not meet our expectations. It was ok, but no more than that. There was nothing wrong, just no refinement and no taste to remember. Not good enough for a restaurent at this standard.

Lovely family dinner for 4 to celebrate my husbands birthday. The complimentary glasses of fizz were a real treat.

Friendly service and good food in line with our expectations. Restaurant is always noisy but that is more to do with its design and furnishing.

The July specials are a tasty and enjoyable addition to the menu. I recommend the Brenton Tomatoes for a first course or the Steak Tatar followed by the Swordfish or the Lobster followed by the Strawberry Pavlova.

I went to cote Watford for my birthday this evening and had an amazing time. The service was amazing and they made a real effort to celebrate my birthday and make it special such as bringing me a desert and singing happy birthday and comping a couple of drinks. Our waiter Wagner had the most perfect customer service and really helped to make my birthday meal really special.

Service was very good. Nice selection on the menu. Choice of steaks however was v limited. Restaurant is very noisy. Poor acoustic meant there were times when we couldn’t hear each other. They also have no idea what green tea is. They insisted that they had green tea on the menu but what they served was a herbal tea that tasted more like mint which was strange as they already have two other mint teas on the menu.

Had the Prestige menu. Fabulous food and service and great value.

Everything was good except for a slight "glitch" with the bill. The complimentary bottle of wine was charged to the bill !!! It was deducted but only after I queried it. Apart from that, we would happily visit again

Another amazing experience at Cote brassiere! Second visit and can’t wait for the next. The staff are friendly and attentive the food is soooo tasty they even wrapped up the lovely bread I had left over to take home and enjoy. The atmosphere it great. Cannot fault my experience with this great addition to Watford Town Centre.

90 min delay with food, noise level unbearable. Food good when it arrived. Manager weak telling other very very loud customers to be more respectful of other diners and no customer service 're the long wait for food. DONT GO SATURDAY NIGHTS

Food was good when it arrived 90 mins after we arrived. The noise level was horrific, with two tables of woman who were practically screaming at each other. We complained twice, finally the manager who was young (a nice guy) decided to ask them to keep the noise down. Why he waited is beyond me and the other 5 on our table. We couldn't get out of there quick enough. We went elsewhere for coffee and dessert. I do not think we will ever return there, the staff were ok, but at no time did they apologise for the delay or the noise. They didn't even offer a free drink while we waited for the delayed food. When the bill came the manager gave us 20% off, but by then the damage had been done and it was too little too late. If someone in management wants to call me 're this, would be happy to chat. A lovely local restaurant with helpful and professional staff - a interesting menu with a monthly new selection and selection of wines - I recommend the Steak Tatar and the Breton Tomatoes for June. Bill

Lovely food and atmosphere. Had a booth towards the back of the venue so was lovely and quiet. Only negative was that the toast due to come with my husbands breakfast came out late. The waiting staff had to chase for it twice and it came just as he was nearly finished on his breakfast. Which he ate much slower than usual due to missing toast. Head of waiting staff came over to apologise for this one toast arrived. Other than the above the overall experience was enjoyable and I would return again.

Very disappointed with tonight's dinner. Long delays between being served for drinks and main course. Starters were good, but after waiting over an hour for mains to arrive they had to be sent back because both dishes were overcooked. Seemed like they had been left under a warming lamp a long time. Service seemed inadequate for the number of diners so may be the reason issues with the food. A newish restaurant that needs to work out its teething problems. Would like to revisit but service and food need to improve.

The food was excellent and the service was great. I will definitely be recommending it to friends and look forward to coming again soon.

They are one of the best! They have changed the food scenario in Watford. Food is awesome. We have enjoyed the service too. Only thing they need to improve is to add new recipes to their menu.

We had a bad experience before so were invited back with a £70 off voucher. This time both the food and staff were brilliant, despite being brought the wrong glass of wine and waiting a while for sauces with our mains. This was recognised and the manager removed our drinks from the bill as a gesture of goodwill which was really appreciated. We couldn’t believe what good value for money the set menu was and will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Nice tasty food well presented. Good service by our Spanish waiter. Had the lunch special menu with a good selection and a price to suit.

There were 4 of us. Cote's service is excellent. We didn't feel rushed when making our choices. The set lunch menu had a great selection to choose from. When we asked, a dish was explained. When each course was brought to us, the waiter knew who had ordered what - so it felt like we weren't just a number. From the time of arriving and during our meal, it was clear that this was going to be an enjoyable experience. At the end of the meal, we all commented on how we enjoyed our food. My choice of the cherry tomato salad, omelette, and the chocolate pot will be one of my highlights when I can get to Cote of a lunch time. And the price - for the quality of the food, service and setting we couldn't believe it - £13.50 a head! Actually I might be back this Friday!

Had a birthday meal here and the staff went above and beyond, decorating the table, a complimentary glass of Prosecco for everyone and even a card! Staff are lovely and so helpful, and the food is top notch.

We were welcomed with complimentary Brut Rosé celebrating a special occasion. Food was of great quality with very flavoursome dishes served all round for a party 9. Staff were very attentive and helpful would highly recommend and definitely return.

We had a table booked for 10pm after going to the Colosseum on Friday night. Great service and always enjoy looking at the menu which is great especially if you like fish. The Breton Fish Stew is one of the best I have tasted lots of fish and the Steak Tartare was fabulous. Even though we had the last booking we didn't feel rushed and the complimentary bottle of wine for our first visit was a lovely touch. Thank you to all the staff

Lovely family lunch on a Sunday, service was warm and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. Food service was a little slow but we had made it known we weren't in a rush so it wasn't a problem.

Amazing food and a wide variety too. Definitely ask to see the vegetarian menu as there are a lot of options not listed on the main menu. The staff were all incredibly friendly, polite and attentive. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely go again

Wonderful evening- we visit cotes regularly. Wagner the manager gives the whole restaurant a very relaxed atmosphere which is lovely - the staff and service are excellent. We will be returning there next Friday.
