The whole experience from booking to arriving, being served, eating and paying was excellent! The staff were very attentive with a warm and friendly approach. I will be back!
Nice meal. It would have been better with a larger seating area. It would have been a very comfortable table for four people but we were a party of six and it started to feel cramped after about an hour.
Excellent meal, pleasant staff, enjoyed the experience. I think 12.5% is a little excessive.
Service slow after main course. Apart from that the quality of the food was excellent. Definitely will be returning!
We had a lovely meal and evening here. What I especially like is that no one rushed us off - which made it hugely relaxing and pleasant. The food was very good and so was the service - we will be back.
Excellent food and very friendly attentive staff Always enjoy Cote Thank you
Great food, beautiful restaurant, fantastic service and an amazing price (for the set menu). Really lovely evening and the staff were all very friendly and polite. Will definitely be back.
Lovely lunch for a friends birthday (complete with beautiful surprise dessert)! Served by our favourite, Sam, but everyone made us feel welcome. Calamari, mussels and chicken all superb. Loved that we could just chill and chat (and take ages to order!) Thank you
Had set menu. Delicious meal. Excellent service. A lovely experience altogether. Will be back!
Enjoyed the starter but our main was delayed for approx 45 mins due to ticket error
Excellent meal - Food is fab here . friendly staff
Not up to the usual standards unfortunately. Main courses poor.. Side dishes cold. Complimentary wine was added to bill and wanted to charge £17 for two Irish coffees.
Food was good. Service excellent, a little noisy. Fair prices.
Great food, service & atmosphere! Will definitely be back soon!
Should rethink your brunch menu. For vegetarians there wasn't a-lot of options.
Absolutely brilliant all round. Thoroughly enjoyed the chicken with mushroom sauce and dauphinois potatoes, and the apple tart to die for.
What surprised me most was how well you were looked after as soon as you walked through the door. The food & the service was exceptional. Looking forward to our next visit.
The food was very good and the service was very attentive I would recommend others to visit this venue.
Very enjoyable meal, great service coupled with great food. Would definitely revisit and recommend
Really great food good service we keep coming back ,..,
Amazing food and service , would recommend to everyone .
Excellent food and superb service. We had a great evening
Another fantastic evening at Cotes Watford. Great ambiance and excellent service and food. Can’t wait for my next visit.
Lovely food with excellent and very attentive service. Faultless on that level. The only niggle was the three tables with crying babies - I’m not anti- baby as I’ve had three children; however my wife and I chose to put our evening restaurant life on hold for a few years so as not to spoil other diner’s evenings. Adults are allowed time too. Cote - how about a 7pm curfew for under 8s? It would make me consider not going back. If I wanted crying babies I would have gone to Frankie and Benny’s.
Steak could have been thicker and I have had better tasting mussels and you didn’t get that many frites however the chocolate mousse and fondant were lovely
Very nice evening lovely food and good service ten out of ten
The decor in the restaurant is lovely and the staff are very attentive. However, we waited over an hour for our food and when it arrived my husband's dish was lukewarm and had to be sent back. This meant I ate with him watching me and his replacement meal arrived after I had eaten so I watched him eat. I would say however that the lovely young Italian lady who dealt with our complaint apologised and put every effort into ensuring his replacement meal was brought back as quickly as possible but it did spoil the evening.

We had a great time. The staff were very attentive. The table was nicely decorated for the birthday and generally everyone was lovely. The food as always was very nice and good value for money.
Very good and prompt service prior to visit to the cinema. Food excellent value, good choice and tasty
Setting, reputation and ambience was all great however it shouldn’t take an hour and a half to get some food when we only ordered a main meal with no starter. I can appreciate it was a Friday evening but that comes down to staffing. Our waiter was very helpful. Whilst my duck was very nice, the meat was dry when it got to me.
Our waitress was efficient, charming and witty . The food was excellent although my wife felt that the Breton Stew has less of a garlic flavor than she remembered from the Cote at Hay’s Galleria.
My second visit & enjoyed it very much & will definitely return. I like the very relaxing atmosphere & very pleasant staff.
Waiting time was a tiny bit too long for a lunch break, considering we all ordered off the lunch menu. The food was really good though! Unluckily I had no time for dessert :(
Another wonderful evening of excellent food and perfect service. Well done!
Nice friendly staff but unfortunately poor food! Steak was chewy - replaced with another not much better! Use Cotes a lot elsewhere - Watford needs to check supplier for meat and reassess quality! Manager very apologetic and took it off bill - thank you! Will try again BUT will not order steak frites!
Although seated in a corner, the noise level was disturbing at times. Otherwise, a pleasant and relaxed experience in which the 3-course meal was well presented in a timely fashion allowing us to get up-to-date. Worth repeating!
Well run restaurant with well trained staff. Food amazing on hot plates. Pleasure to go there as always.
I’m reluctant to review positively in case word gets out about how inexpensive it is here!!!! But that’s unfair!! So: It’s always so lovely here, the venue, the staff, the food and the wine! Service as always is attentive but not overbearing and the food cooked perfectly. I keep saying I’m going to order something other than the calamari, but so far I haven’t managed it! We had a full three course lunch for 7 (2 for a couple of our party) and one alcoholic drink each and it came to only £205 including service charge! I think picking times slightly out of the busy period is good - 1.30 for lunch instead of 12.30 meant it wasn’t too busy and noisy. Also popped in on other occasions for just coffee and pudding or a light lunch. They are always very accommodating!
Great day today had a great lunch today service was great the food was amazing we will definitely return soon ten out of ten cheers
Lovely service to begin with. Tables outside are always forgotten. V hot day. Plates sat for far too long so as to attract a number of flies! Had to ask for them to be taken away. 3 out of 4 meals served. 4th meal had to be chased up. Not waiters fault, but the managers for not rostering enough staff.
Nice to see familiar welcoming waiting staff , tall chap with beard and lady with red hair . The restaurant was busy and there were just three waiting staff who were great even being stretched . Beautifully presented food . Would recommend .
Great food, lovely service and staff. Wine choice was a bit limited but overall wonderful experience
I booked at Côte Watford today as it was my parents’ 47th wedding anniversary and we have previously had excellent meals and service there. Yet again, both the service and the food were faultless. My partner mentioned something to my parents about sitting next to each other for their anniversary lunch and the waiter clearly overheard. When we went to order champagne he said he was bringing us complimentary Kir Royales! I shared the Châteaubriand steak with my mother and it was divine. Everything was. Every member of staff was welcoming and super efficient without being intrusive. Whoever is managing this branch is doing a fantastic job and has picked a great team to do it with. Once more, we left talking about how we’ll be going back soon. Thank you!
Very accommodating and service was excellent throughout. The food was delicious. I will be returning for the Bretton Fish Stew alone, thank you!
Excellent food! Service was also exceptional. A lovely evening had by all. Highly recommended.
Excellent food great service. We enjoyed an early meal from the August menu and will certainly come back.
I eat at other Cote restaurants regularly I did not enjoy my experience in Watford Cote very much
Professinal and accomodating staff! Lovely food, especially the starters. Would recommend and will return.
Excellent service and very good food No complaints at all Will certainly eat there again
We have eaten at other Cote restaurants several times over the last 18 months and have generally been very satisfied, so our expectations were fully established. Cote Watford was clean, tidy and welcoming and also fairly empty as it was just before 7:00pm. on a Saturday night. As the restaurant rapidly filled up with customers, the noise level from within Cote increased significantly and became a notable concern. Service was good and attentive and the food and drinks were quite reasonable, but overall we had the impression that this particular establishment was still in the process of both settling down and developing its procedures, since its relatively recent opening. As a Watford resident, I am pleased that we now have a local restaurant option instead of having to travel to St. Albans via the unpredictable train service.
