Good food, very small menu but what's on it is delicious. Interesting wine selection. Service wasn't rushed, we lingered for two hours and enjoyed a glass of wine after lunch

I have visited The Cru before. The service is always friendly and excellent, the food is fabulous and wine is fantastic! Could not recommend it more!

First time here, Steak was really nice, hot and cooked well, my partner had the short rib she loved it, only thing that let the meal down was the pudding, we was hoping for an apple pie but it was actually a crumble it was really small and the custard made it looked like it was pre-made from the fridge to the microwave for £9.00 this did let it down for us considering the main was really nice! I know its not the restaurants fault but we very nearly walked out after ordering drinks as the noise level was so high from an xmas party me and my partner couldn't here each other, if i had know they had to xmas partys booked for this evening i would have made another reservation for another night, luckily i think the staff could tell it was bothering us and managed to move us to the bar area witch was ideal. Thanks for a lovely meal, we will be back for sure but unfortunately not for the puddings

Nice restaurant, table was ready, good food, pleasant service staff and overall nice experience. Other points : steps down into premises are awkward and toilets are up steep stairs and extremely small.

My husband and I visited on a Friday night. We were warmly greeted by staff (not our first visit!) who kindly offered us an alternative table as it was quite noisy in the main area. The food was, as always, excellent quality (in particular my squid starter and my husband's German style burger). One of our favourite dining experiences in Eastbourne... if a little on the noisy side!

As always amazing food, amazing wine selection and great service. Worth every penny.

A bit lonely at first but more people came in later. Friendly service and we enjoyed the food - my steak was tasty and cooked to perfection - brilliant! The music was a tad too loud for our liking at first - I think the waitress read our minds because it got turned down. My wife had a bottle of Shiraz which she enjoyed and I had a really nice flat lemonade. Overall a lovely lunch and we would go again. Many thanks to Cru. Steven

Lovely restaurant, great staff and nice wines. Steaks are a bit pricey but we’re delicious. Our preferred wine wasn’t available but the alternative was very nice. We would go again.
