Curious Manor

Lovely venue, great service, food was nice but ran out of mussels. I had the pulled pork but it was dry. Would still recommend though.

Good meal, pleasant staff, no problem with being a few minutes late for our booking at lunch time yesterday. Will be back again, want to try the afternoon tea.

The setting of Curios Manor is very quirky and therefore makes for a very unusual but pleasant atmosphere for a meal out. I went with my boyfriend on a Saturday night and my only criticism would be that by the time we were shown to our table at 20:30, the music was very loud and set up more for people coming in just for drinks rather than those dining. The food itself was great: my boyfriend and I shared a few starters tapas style and both had burgers for mains and I couldn't fault the food at all. The only problem was that by the time we were ready to order pudding (~22:00), we were told that we could only have items in the main fridge as the kitchens were no longer serving. While we both enjoyed our puddings, there were only a few options to choose from which is a shame because the pudding selection on the menu did look very good. Overall I couldn't fault the food, drinks or cocktails but if you are looking for a proper dining experience, it would probably be best to go reasonably early in the evening and maybe avoid the weekend as well.

Again, back here as it's a lovely place. Atmosphere is great and good lovely. The only gripe I have are the lack of plates for burgers. A tiny wooden board isn't easy to eat from...

Lovely food. However, the tiniest board to eat of burger off!!! Would much rather a plate! Don't really understand the obsession with eating off wooden boards....

Fabulous! We booked for Sunday breakfast/brunch and were not disappointed. Really friendly, helpful, attentive and accommodating staff. Delicious food with swift service. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming. Toilets were immaculate!

The Food was excellent and the service was great. There is a good selection of drinks available. The place is nicely decorated but also little cold.

Booked for husbands mother's birthday. 78 and she loved it. Music on cusp of being too loud but we appreciate it was a Saturday night. Food fantastic. Interesting surroundings. Fab from start to finish.

Booked for a roast Sunday lunch. Only to arrive to find out they don't server roast Sunday lunch anymore. They changed their menu 2 days ago. They could have called to tell us.

WOW. What an unusual, quirky place with fantastic food, very friendly, helpful staff, extremely pleasurable experience. Will definitely be returning for another tipsy afternoon tea.

Service was mixed. Some excellent but sadly one member of staff quite rude. On the night of the visit where we were in the restaurant was also quite chilly. However we have been many times before and really enjoyed it. Food was good.

Booked a table however were told table needed to be vacated by a certain time. Also we're charged more than prices in menus. However a lovely quirky place

Food was overpriced for the portion size. Staff were unhelpful and felt that clearly a table was more important than taking an order. Nice place but probably won't go again.

We had a great afternoon tea! Wonderful food and service. My friend had a gluten free version which was a real treat for her. Looking forward to my next visit.

Good food, relaxed environment, good service! Felt very welcomed, nothing was too much trouble and table was available at the time we had booked for.

Great service & altho' non-alcoholic cocktails aren't in the drinks' menu the barman made a great mock mojito. Food menu somewhat restricted but the steak was excellent. Highly recommended!

Love the decor and the food and service is good but really would prefer to have food served on plates rather than blocks of wood.

We had a reservation beforehand. However, we were put in a dark corner.....couldn't hardly read the menu! But meal very nice. Next time I would ask for a table in the lighter area!

Birthday afternoon tea booked. We states on ordering due to having other drinks we would wait for the drinks to come with exception of one tea...this did not happen. Eventually tea arrived, seemingly tea doesn't come with milk so we had to ask who I seemed to be an issue. No checks and table not cleared. Staff didn't seem bothered about us at all, very disappointed to say the least. On departure still not asked if everything was ok.

Staff very friendly and helpful, however order was taken incorrectly, was rectified very quickly and 10% discount given for the mistake, food was v nice and would definitely go again

Food and drink good. Service was very slow and let the resturant down, it took 25mins before someone even came to take a drinks order and it was not busy, once food was ordered food came quick and was fresh and delicious. Shame about the service as it would have been a great experience and would have got a much higher score.

The service was great, the atmosphere was enjoyable and the experience was exciting, with lots of interesting things to look at. Even the sugar bowl was posh :-)

Excellent food,service and environment. We had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the cocktails they are amazing. Upstairs is the best place to sit.

First time at Quandoo, had no idea what to expect! Very quirky interior. great atmosphere, food delicious, menu different to the norm. Would certainly visit again.

THE MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD SO WE COULD'NT REALLY HAVE A CONVERSATION.VERY NICE STAFF BUT THE FOOD WAS NOT GREAT AND NOT A LOT OF CHOICE.

The place was interesting and nicely decorated .the food was nice but not unusual just burgers and pizza. The staff were friendly but busy chatting amongst themselves and waiter was very new but left to serve us on his own.

Nice place , quirky and relaxed. Sunday roast was delicious and the red berry mojito too. Will definitely visit again to try the afternoon tea .

Food excellent wine excellent good choice of drinks very quiet though on a Thursday night. Waitress excellent with unusual decor, overall very nice evening. Cool.

Food was awful very dry pizza and overcooked steak, table was so dark we had to use torches from our phones to read the menu

Really nice and quirky venue. We were given a fab table under a huge disco ball with a great view of trinity square. The staff were extremely attentive even though it was a busy Friday night. Would absolutely recommend this venue to friends!

It was very, very, very, noisy music so loud a conversation was impossible, and dreadful, and the seats were uncomfortable. But the staff were lovely, and the food was nice

Food was great. Just lacked a little with sides for the main dishes. Atmosphere was lovely, staff nice, although waiting time was a little long. Wether this was due to it being busy or we were a table of six. Service due to being a little busy seemed rather rushed it took away a little from quality. When we decided not to tip the additional charge which was added on to the bill as it was simply too high and didn't warrent the service provided, our waitress was very rude and stormed off after we paid. A little unnecessary. May return for the food.

The food was outstanding. The service was very attentive and although the restaurant got extremely busy, we couldn't fault a thing!! Would def re-visit in the future.

Lovely place and they provided us with the table we requested (under the tree) however we had to be moved after 10mins as they forgot to tell us we weren't allowed to eat there. We had to be moved to the restaurant part. The food was lovely, but they brought everything out at once so by time I reached my main, it was a little too cold! Also, every time a plate/glass was empty on our table, a waitress would come over and ask if it was done with. We understand they want to clear up fast as they go, but we just kept being interrupted every 10mins and it started to feel a little awkward.

Was immediately made welcome by staff. Cream tea delicious & sandwich beautifully presented in a picnic basket. Quirky decor. Nice for people watching too. Very enjoyable.

Service was not great - we were told after hour an hour of being seated that our booking gave us an hour and a half and after that the table was needed. After our main course no one asked us if we wanted dessert or more drinks - we were ignore

We did have to ask to move as we were hidden at the back where we couldn't see anything. Once we moved it was fine.

Great service, fantastic atmosphere & decoration. Afternoon tea was lovely and very good size. Cocktail included were nice. Great price for Tipsy afternoon tea. Would recommend to all.

Great cocktails, uninspiring food choices. We noticed it was very cold in the bar area (although we were ok in the restaurant) with people sitting in their coats. The big windows look nice but they need better heating for those sat near them!

More a place for young people but food and service were good. Very exotic decor and good cocktail menu. An excellent location in city centre.

Menu is not clear at all and Staff didn't specify/ask which sandwiches would be included in the afternoon tea, so when a ham & cheese sandwich arrived with the others I wasn't pleased since I am a vegetarian!
