Fantastic Lovely atmosphere with great food Stayed two nights and went both times Rissotto and seafood pasta Very reasonable price as well Well looked after even though very busy
This Restaurant serves great food, the staff are friendly and polite and provide a good service. Da Paolo has a nice ambiance and is a great place to spend time.
Fantastic'o!!! No need to look elsewhere the atmosphere is perfect the service second to none the "genuine" friendliness made us both feel like the restaurant was open just for us both. OH! yes and the food scored top' marks all round. My partner who has restaurant experience finished every plat that was bought with enthusiasm to our table. Which is a first as that is not always the case..............We will be looking to go back when next in London, as I said there is no need to think about looking elsewhere.
Nice venue, food was excellent and staff were very efficient, would recommend, we’ll be going again. Wines were slightly on the expensive side but having said that they were very good.
Fantastic, authentic Italian cuisine served delightfully. A great wine list to complement the food. Pleasantly located in the heart of Fitzrovia on a small pedestranized street, so It is quiet too. Highly recommended.
Very attentive wait staff. Italian sausage starter was very good. The whole sea base main was outstanding. The fennel flavor as well as the tenderness was great. Nice atmosphere.
Nice compact restaurant, good menu and wine list. Had to wait a little while to get served but it was valentines and very busy. Tables very close together but certainly felt like we were in italy and eating good italian food. highly recommend and cost was £116 including £52 bottle of wine.......
What a super place! Incredible staff, delicious food, and a cosy but comfortable atmosphere. Won’t break the bank either, especially if you go for the pasta options. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, and can’t wait to return.
fantastic atmosphere, proper homely food and good wine. I had the ravioli with mushroom and truffle, proper tidy. The lasgne was also very very nice
The restaurant served great food and the service was very fast. There was a good atmosphere and the place was packed, although it is very small. We will definitely go back.
Excellent food and excellent service. A must go for anybody who loves authentic Italian food. A warm welcome as soon as we entered the door.
The food was fantastic and the service was really warm and friendly. Lots of delicious options available, including gluten free pasta. Will be recommending this place to friends.
Lovely little restaurant, great, friendly and welcoming staff. We came in out of the rain to be seated downstairs where it was warmer. The food was amazing only down side is they had no lemon cheescake! Shame but maybe we will visit again. Would recommend to others.
Lovely restaurant with very tasty food excellent place had a great evening and will definitely be coming back again soon I would recommend coming here
Pleasant experience, nice atmosphere and good food. I was surprised that the piece of tiramisu birthday cake appeared on my bill along with the other deserts we ordered.....but that did not spoil the evening.
the food was very good and perhaps a little too generous , however the tables were too close together and hence was rather crowded.the wine was vry good and the waiter warmed to us as the evening wor on.
Lovely cosy ambience, good food, big portions though so go there hungry! Will definitely go again. Would recommend the house Prmitivo, excellent, fruity and full of flavour.
fantastic food as always, been there before and it never disappoints. Food and service excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go back.
Excellent Italian food in a small cosy setting but with big portions. I requested an off-menu pasta dish which they were more than happy to prepare, and it was delicious. Would definitely return
Lovely little restaurant , you felt like you were in Italy. Great friendly service , food was delicious . Great portions and would definitely recommend a meal there . If we were to have a night out in London again we would book again
First visit. Nice cozy atmosphere on a freezing cold day. Even though full, it was quiet enough to be able to talk with my companion without shouting. Very tasty authentic food. Staff friendly and efficient without making things feel rushed. Good wine list. Overall good value for money. I did think the antipasti were just too large. Left no room for a dessert.
A very cosy Italian restaurant which offers a variety of delicious dishes (only tried the pasta but never disappointed). Waiters are Italian and very nice. Definitely recommend it!
Love cute little Italian, big portions and the food is really tasty. Sparking red wine was a bonus as it’s my favourite! Would dine here again
We had a lovely evening. Friendly people, great food, cosy atmosphere. Proper tasting Italian food and big portions. We shall definatly come again. xxx xxx
Always consistantly good authentic italian food. Friendly service. We always try to eat here when we go to London - it is reliable. Food prices are reasonable although wine is a bit over priced.
Excellent restaurant! I take clients frequently and the food and service is second to none. The staff are italian so all food is authentic and the portion sizes are huge. Haven’t found a better italian in London.
Nice cosy place for couples and friends. Bit small though...Very helpful waitresses. There was no noisy music so you can talk in peace without shouting.... Book a table as it is busy...
Food s average. Under seasoned. Portions are huge though. cramp seatings. We were put in a small table even when other bigger tables were available.
The staff at Da Paolo are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and lovely. The fritto misto was outstanding, as was the pesto pasta dish made specially for my daughter.
Close to Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road, Da Paolo offers great food and friendly service in a gorgeous, intimate setting. This restaurant is highly recommended.
Just perfect; service, surroundings, menu. Had a lovely evening here with family. The staff are patient and not pushy, like some restaurants are. It’s not a big restaurant, which adds to the atmosphere and also it doesn’t make it noisy. Highly recommended.
The food was absolutely excellent, even the gluten free pasta. We were served by the owner (at least I think he was the owner) who would not accommodate any of my friend’s requests to replace something in the dish she wanted. And he wasn’t nice about it either.
The service was excellent throughout. The manager or he may have been the owner helped choose our wine - excellent choices. Her also mixed our Negronis - very good Very good menu and chalked special of the day made for a difficult choice as they all looked good. Watching the other diners we could see the portions were big. We had a plate of grilled sardines - delicious and plenty of them, a mixed starter which was pleasing and two salads that were enjoyed. We had the papardalle special which was very, very good and another pasta dish from the main menu - everything greatly enjoyed. We finished with a very good pana cota and 3 scoops of sorbet of various flavours. These were accompanied by grappas and coffee. Our friends who live part of the year in Italy were impressed with the meal. All in all an excellent evening.
Food and service were excellent, however, we were sitting next to the window/ door. The draft made things rather cold as people were coming and going. Overall, great! Owned and run by Italians, this is a hidden little gem. I would definitely recommend to friends.
We loved the restaurant, the food was excellent and the service attentive without being overpowering, our waitress was delightful. The best meal I have had in a while.
Excellent meal - Carlos is a great host and the restaurant is welcoming and comfortable. We had a great time and the food was really good quality - although there was possibly a bit too much to eat - we certainly didn't go hungry. Great lunch and we will definitely eat there again - highly reccomended
We had lunch here before going to the Dominion Theatre. We chose it as it was easy walking distance to the theatre and had good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Cosey and friendly restaurant with a good selection on the menu. Good service and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food which was excellent. We chose the crab and prawn ravioli and the pork fillet. Both were delicious.
Understandably busy at Christmas. Tables rather close together. Food quite good with a good selection although the 2/3 course menu doesn't make a lot of sense price-wise. The restaurant is in good location and would probably go again. Efficiently run.
Small and intimate but attentive service and excellent wholesome cuisine. I have to get to 25 words apparently but this first sentence covers all my review !
Great food, great staff and a great atmosphere combined to give us a wonderful evening. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you Da Paulo.
Super quaint small intimate restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value. Food tasty. Not high end but the prices reflect that. Best to sit upstairs rather than downstairs, and, in the winter, away from the entry door.
Beautiful quaint Italian restaurant, lovely to be away from the hussle of London. Food was excellent and great value and Staff were more than helpful. Definitely will return and recommend
Very good food! The pasta was perfect. Not compatible for small children, but great hospitality. We tried the lasagna and truffle ravioli and we loved both
Very delicious food, came in good amount of time and the staff was very friendly. Also, the atmosphere is lovely and very cozy. Will definitely go again!
Amazing food and service: true Italian place. We went there on a Saturday and it was a bit loud (as the place is small): maybe reduce a little bit the number of seats?
I was delighted with my choice but my wife felt hers was not particularly tasty. The atmosphere and serice was very good and the price reasonable.
Great food and really good service. We had a party of 8 and everyone loved their meal. The portion sizes for the set menu (for four people) were very generous! Highly recommended.
Party of four ate on a Saturday eveining. Our table was downstairs which was quiet att he beginning but as the restaurant filled up had a great atmosphere. Service was good and our servers were very jolly. Quality of food was excellent. Wine was a little on the expensive side. Great restaurant off a small side street. We will use it again
Cosy restaurant tucked away from the main streets. Menu has wide variety and specials were available. House wine is good quality. Staff friendly and efficient, whilst no attempt to rush.
Great food, great wine, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. We had a lovely evening with our friends and we will all definitely coming back again.
