A lovely venue, in the heart of Covent Garden, with live classical music in the courtyard outside. Food, wine and service all as you would expect from a wine bar and restaurant in the Davy’s chain. A definite place to take visitors from out of town.

Whenever we visit London we come to the Crusting Pipe. We book on line in advance. Only once were we slightly disappointed but ever since that some years ago we cannot fault it. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Great food, great place, we will always visit when in London

Not as nice as used to be .. and can't believe they had only one choice of beer/ lager which was bottle only of one which tasted more like mead .. never come across pub/ resteraunt that only has one choice of lager / beer.. felt a bit rushed by waitress .. too

Enjoyed it - my third time there - used to think it was too touristy in middle of Covent Garden but not at all and the singing/playing outside adds to the atmosphere

Not cheap, nor world class exceptional food, but very nice place indeed for a long family diner, with great menu options for all, and of course great wine choices too. We had a separate room for our party of 6, which added a nice touch of cosiness. We'll be back for our next London trip !

I frequently bring my overseas visitors here as the history of the building is so impressive and the service is usually good. This time was great, my friend enjoyed it and our server was very attentive

I frequently bring guests here, atmosphere and location are great. Service can sometimes be less good-depends on the team of the day. Food is ok-simple and dependable. But why we had to wait nearly an hour for our meals: a lentil dish and some roasted fish, when we were among very few diners, I could not tell. After 45 mins I asked the waiter since we had a show to get to, meals arrived about 15 later. They could have been made in that 15 mins... I was embarrassed for my friend as I’d told her what a great place this was. It’s usually nice- but be sure to book and specify size of wine glass as they give you the largest otherwise £££

Warm atmosphere, good food, good service and good value. A pleasant haven in the chaos of Covent Garden on a wet and chilly Sunday afternoon

Prix élever par rapport à la quantité servi, plateau de charcuterie fromage 18livres mais ridicule. Service correct par contre il ne parle pas du tout français.

Always reliable, booking system works well. Food is British, always high quality. Wine list very satisfactory for this sort of wine bar and restaurant. Only request: add chips as a veg.

Great food, fine wine, super service, wonderful location. We 'six' enjoyed the benefit of a private room and had a very enjoyable, unhurried Christmas Lunch together.

Good atmosphere but food disappointing. Not big enough choice for non-meat eaters. Also a really loud bell/alarm rang several times for 30-60 seconds at a time. Waiter said it happens most nights. Very annoying when trying to have a conversation

The ambiance in crushing pipe is lovely, especially if you are lucky enough to be sitting near the window or outside. The food is good and most of the staff are very efficient and friendly

My daughter arrived first & wasn’t offered a drink until we arrived 25 minutes later. Scallops arrived presented well but so rubbery and cold they were returned, the sides arrived 5 minutes later than the meal. One of items ordered didn’t arrive at all. Wasn’t made aware that large bottles of sparkling water were available and so each purchased individual ones costing twice as much! Overall terrible experience and won’t be returning

The food is excellent, and reasonably priced for such a wonderful venue. I enjoy the music, paticularly the quintet and so ate in the patio area. The service was prompt and very courteous. Over all a very fine olace for lunch.

Staff and service exemplary but food disappointing. My friends and I have had our college reunions at The Crusting Pipe for the last few years but unfortunately the standard of the food has deteriorated. Such a shame! BUT staff lovely.

It was great listening to the various artistes in the atrium. Food, service and company also good. We ate inside where it was also possible to carry on a conversation but we could also her the music in the backgrouind.

We received attentive service. The food and wine were good. I hadn't been there for about 20 years (as a student) and enjoyed reminiscing! I missed the 'game pie' and those lead pellets..

The toasted bread with the goat cheese starter was a bit overdone and dry. Too many drinking glasses on table, brought more out even though we said we had enough. A bit more sauce with the cod main meal. Otherwise fabulous.
