Fantastic food and great service. The kitchen staff managed to get our order wrong by mixing up my vindaloo water buffalo curry with my sons' garlic chilli chicken! My son ploughed on through and finished his super spicy chicken and they cooked another water buffalo dish for me - hotter by far this time! My wife was rapturous about her goat curry and the food was delicious. I've no doubt we'll be back!
Great staff and food. Slight delay on one of our parties main coming out which had us all waiting, otherwise a very enjoyable evening was had by all.
The best Indian food I have had for a long time . Would like to see Indian sweets or rice pudding on the menu instead of commercial ice cream deserts. Food all very fresh beautifully presented. Staff helpful and no problems getting wheelchair in. We will be going again
Lovely meal, lovely staff and lovely setting. Really enjoyed the evening and not too expensive, not cheap but as food was excellent, very good value. Will be going again.
Excellent food, service and value. The mixed and vegetarian starters were exceptional as was the goat curry and the paratha the best I have tasted outside of India. I highly recommend Diya.
Excellent in all respect, warm welcome, enticing and varied menu which lived up to its expectations. A must to visit when you are in Winchester.
Given that Winchester already has many excellent Indian restaurants (e.g. nearby Gandhi), you might think this was a risky venture. However, I have been here twice now and the food is excellent (more than makes up for the sad loss of the Bengal Sage), and the service is exceptional. If you've not been, try it out!
Lovely warm welcome, but the food was nothing to get excited about. Some interesting choices on the menu - this isn't just bog-standard curries - but there just wasn't any real wow factor to the dishes we ordered.
Excellent food and service. Only slight negative was volume of chatter, possible amplified by restaurant acoustics. This was our second visit - will definitely return.
Went for dinner here on Friday night, lively and busy, head waiter was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious. Only minor criticism was the time it took for mains to arrive, but not unexpected at such a busy time. Great place.
Excellent service and outstanding food. A visit to Diya is a must if you enjoy fine Indian food. Our second visit to this restaurant - and certainly will not be the last.
The dining might be small as it became a little bit crowded as more people came to fill their bellies but the welcome is big. Lovely staff, the food is really nice and affordable.
Excellent, from the greeting at the door, to the exit everything was perfect, the staff, the food, the level of attentiveness. The food was lovely and the venue was very nice, will definitely go back.
At Diya last night for a birthday celebration. We had a great family meal with really friendly service, Other reviews led some of us had to try the Goat from the specials and we weren't disappointed. Would definitely go again.
What a delightful evening. Read the reviews beforehand and it certainly lived up to expectations. Great service and the goat curry was amazing! Will definitely be back for a second visit 😊
Superb Indian food and service, the 'Cricket team' curry was excellent. Made to feel very welcome by all the staff, cant be a better Indian restaurant in the City?
Amazing food, extremely tasty the goat literally melted in my mouth it was that tender, great service. Highly reccomend will definitely be back for another visit.
