Lovely restaurant, fantastic staff, cannot wait to go back again.

The food was amazing, we had steak, chicken and mixed skewers. The staff very helpful and friendly would highly recommend to my friends and family.

Very nice meal lovely. The chicken and sauce were very tasty and tender and the saute potatoes were beautiful. The staff as usual were very friendly.

Great food and excellent value for money. We had three courses from the set menu which had a lot of choices and two drinks for just £25 each

visited Douro Valley restaurant on Canvey Island a few times now, food is delicious, staff are lovely and friendly and really nice atmosphere. Will be paying another visit very soon!

Great food and friendly service. Dined with visiting friends for lunch last Friday and enjoyed two courses each from the very reasonably priced fixed menu which was accompanied by the house Portegese wine would highly recommend this restaurant. Much better than “pub grub”

Nice quality food and very relaxed Sunday Lunch. I would recommend the Pirri Pirri Chicken squawers. All very tasty. Reasonably priced at about 25 pee head including drinks

The restaurant was quite busy but the staff were still able to cope well with any food or drink orders, the food is well prepared and very good value, we will definitely be returning.

Food was very good, pricing good, staff could have been better but the restaurant was full, parking was a bit hard to find, as we did not no the area very well, but phoned the restaurant and they gave us directions to a car park, we will go again.

Lovely quiet little restaurant. Mid week so wasn't busy. Great service. The waitress was attentive and didn't rush us. The meal it's self was brought out in good time. The good was very tasty. We will definitely go back again.

Food was Amazing (calamaros fritos are delicious). I didn't really like the desserts (my caramel mousse was sticky and I didn't even like the taste). The prices and waiting times were fair! I recommend this restourant and I would surely come back!

I LOVE this restaurant it's laid back and friendly and the food is great - would highly recommend it and particularly the roast pork when it's on the specials board - not roast pork as you know it!

Douro Valley offers excellent authentic food, good wine, a warm friendly service and plenty of parking places in the neighbourhood. All of that at a reasonable price. What else do you need for a memorable meal?

Lovely smilie waitress. A well cooked paella in comfortable clean surroundings. Thursday night is Paella Night! So paella for 2 & a jug of good quality sangria at a brilliant price.

It was our anniversary and I'd been looking forward all week to have a night off away from the kids and to chill out with a nice meal. I was told this restaurant was nice so booked a table. On arrival we were seated and We waited over 15 minutes to receive a drink,then 45 minutes later our starters arrived. There were 5 other couples in the restaurant so in my opinion not over busy. We ordered the t bone steak and after a further 20 minutes was then told they'd ran out...Friday night at 8.30pm and they'd ran out of their best dish??Anyway our main arrived and my steak was well done when I'd ordered medium rare so I sent the meal back. Mean while my partner dined alone. 25 minutes later I received the same dinner back. The sautéed potatoes had been microwaved and I still had the half mushroom on the plate that I started eating 25 minutes ago. The steak was awful. My partner came home and was violently sick. All the food was very poor quality and tasted like it came out from Iceland a few doors down. Very disappointed and we will never return.

Ate here for a friend's birthday on a Wednesday night - the restaurant was very quiet however you can't fault the food considering the quality and price. I will definitely be returning.

i had the pate for starters - i had to ask for more bread as there was a lot of pate for two small pieces of bread, but it was delicious, and had the salted cod for main which was very tasty , staff was nice food good wine perfect .price pretty reasonable!

food was great so much to chose from the menu the staff were were very good first time we have eaten there we will be going back again very soon
