2nd visit to this veggie junkie restaurant, not many places you can get a meat free doner kebab! Tasted how I remember from my meaty days 30 years ago. The restaurant was very busy and although we’d booked there was still a few minutes wait for the table. It also took a fair few minutes for the food to arrive but worth the wait.

Down The Hatch has a lovely atmosphere and a fantastic menu full of variety and tasty vegan dishes. The staff are friendly and were very helpful and attentive with catering to my nut allergy! Was surprised at how much food we got for the price, very fair and reasonable- will definitely be back. Thank you!

Being the only vegan in the party I was a bit unsure how the other people would enjoy the food. They loved it and said they would all return with family. Service was great. Food was amazing, fresh and tasty, and my mock tails where perfect to accompany the meal. I will return. 😁

We had a lovely meal at down the hatch. Friendly staff and brilliant food!

We went to DTH for a family meal (5 people + 2 dogs) with my Aunt and Uncle from India. I turned up with an extra person and this was completely accommodated. The service was excellent, staff were really friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The food was excellent and came out in excellent time. There were 6 adults and 3 of us had more the one alcoholic drink and the I was still surprised how low the bill was when it arrived. As usual a great experience.

Best food I've had since becoming a vegetarian! Huge portion sizes, great atmosphere even better staff! Really convenient location for some of the apart-hotels on Duke Street. I recommend the cauli buff tings for those who enjoy a bit of spice!

Very quiet at opening time, but this is unusual:) My go to place for fried veggie food; the food is so tasty and generous. Wish they brought back their seitan strips & chips as a main, atm the fries are good as a sharing portion which is nice as a social way of eating :) a mix of potato & sweet potato fries again would be nice again too. Just maybe opinion! Love the seitan wings, cauliflower, halloumi...basically all of it. The loaded fries with poutine and chilli, amazing - looking forward to trying the rest. And such a great variety of burgers. The service is always lovely and friendly; they always try to accommodate your order.

Visited on a Tuesday late afternoon. Very welcoming. Staff very friendly and attentive. We had Satan wings and the classic burger with loaded fries. Was really good. Good selection of food and drinks. This wasn’t my first time and won’t be my last. See you soon
