The food is so so. So good! Super tasty and full of fab flavours. Every time we go we are so impressed with the menu and their mac n chesse is the best. To top it all off the staff are superb. They are so friendly and helpful, and have always been great with our toddler. We always have a great time so keep going back!

Boss food and boss staff. 10/10 would recommend :) !

Cocktails were lovely, garlic mushrooms were great, the vegan Mac was a bit nooch heavy for my tastes, and I miss the cauliflower 5 ways, but it was alright.

Staff and food very nice the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Great choice of food and drinks that were served quickly and with a smile great that I could take my dog too.

First time at the place, wasn’t sure what to expect, from the outside you think it’s going to be a pretty small space, but it’s surprisingly big. Food was Fantastic would recommend the Mac and cheese, actually would recommend anything really! Good atmosphere! Will be back!

Tasty, well presented food, with a nicely varied selection, but not too many choices to make the menu unwieldy. My only minor niggle is that I asked for my burger to come without pickles, but it arrived with them. Not the biggest issue, but if someone had food allergies and made a specific request for something to be left off, it could cause issues. All it meant for me was I had to take the pickles off, so not a real biggie.

Great menu with new additions. Food was amazing and drinks even better. Staff are lovely and atmosphere is great too. Excellent all round including prices.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Down the Hatch. The staff are super friendly and even ordered a taxi for us when we left. The food is very good too.

Service was great and the food was delicious, the portion sizes were really good as well. My boyfriend who doesn't really eat veggie or vegan food absolutely loved the meal as well. Will definitely be returning soon.

These guys have the best seitan burgers around. Tried the Katsu curry one and the 'Taj Mahal' - both incredible. Ace atmosphere, great service, boss night.

Excellent food at very good prices. The vegan blondie for dessert was particularly delicious! Spent £40 total for 2 starters, 2 mains, a dessert and one drink :)

My all time favourite place to eat. The only thing that is a little off putting is that the food comes out a random times. I had my main, his starter, his main and then my starter come out 5 minutes apart and in the wrong order. Isn't enough to put me off eating there at all! but it's a little awkward waiting for the other persons food to come/the starters to come after the mains.

Honestly the best food I have ever tasted! I would definitely recommend eating here. And make sure you try the crispy chilli seitan bits, you'll thank me later.

Extended my stay in Liverpool specifically to try this place and wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful place to eat, really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Can’t rate the food highly enough, and we will be visiting the area again for an excuse to come back.

What a fabulous restaurant! From the amazing food - which is creative, super tasty (I had the sumo 'burger', with Asian flavours, which was divine) - to the interesting drinks menu and great atmosphere (we really loved the music) this is the sort of place that makes you want to keep going back in order to try everything on the menu. My only critique, if you can call it that, is that the dishes come with way too many (incredibly tasty) fries - we wasted most of ours. Portions are incredibly generous, which I guess is half the point - even of the lovely vegan ice cream. Would love to see the option of a side salad instead of fries.

Great food as always with good service , the best junk vegan food in Liverpool. The salt and pepper Tofu is awesome and they have the best mint choc ice cream.😁

We always have a great meal at Down the Hatch! The food is amazing and there is so much choice. This time, however, three items we asked for off the menu had ran out. It is completely understandable that this can happen, however, we were not notified about this upon arrival which was frustrating.

DTH’s roast dinner is probably the best meal I’ve had there yet, it’s always amazing but this was BEAUTIFUL. Set the bar high and I’m going to demand my Christmas dinner is identical this year.

Lovely time at down the hatch! We went for a vegan Sunday roast and it was so delicious. The staff were lovely and would recommend here to anyone looking for veggie/vegan food.

The place to visit. It was our first visit to DTH and they were serving their roast dinner. The servings are plentiful and the food was delicious the best vegan roast we have ever had. We will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the menu.
