Duncan's Bar and Bistro

The service was quick and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was warm on arrival and was lovely and fresh. My friends and I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in Duncans. We will definitely be back

Lovely catch up with friend, we try to meet every month and always go to Duncan’s. Food excellent and staff lovely. Restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Food is always quick to come, hot and freshly made. Service is first class.

Really disappointed in the experience as we had to wait almost an hour for our food as the chef burnt the chicken nuggets. The macaroni was not made with Macaroni and the cheese sauce was non-existent. Everything else was fine and we did receive a free round of drinks whilst waiting. The Waiting staff were all lovely but the chef really let the side down for us. I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews but I think it is important for the venue to learn from a bad experience.

Staff member dealing with our table was rude at times and also when he lifted my friends luke warm bowl of soup to be reheated he accidently picked up a salad leaf from her plate and then flicked it back onto her plate with his fingers. Very disgusting. She complained and asked for her salad to be replaced. Which it was and soup came back out so hot it was bubbling like lava! He then went on to refer to one of the ladies as she. When we put in another drinks order my friend was at toilet and he pointed to where she was sitting and said "will she be wanting something?" I had just started to drink my second latte when a member of staff said we would need to leave the table in next 15 minutes and presented us with the bill. We had stayed for over 2 hours but was still ordering coffee so quickly gulped down my coffee and when we went to pay bill it took 3 attempts to get the amounts right. According to the receipt we were served by Scott. I must point out we have frequented Duncans very regularly for many years and today was an exception as far as service was concerned but it still spoiled what was a lovely lunch.

Lovely dinner and the best Margarita cocktail. Contemporary but still a cosy setting with a tasty set menu, with good food offers on during the week. Staff are always welcoming, helpful and friendly. We will be back again!

Quite disappointed. I regularly enjoy visiting Duncan’s but on this occasion it was a very poor experience. On arrival we were told there would be a wait on mains, no problem expected to wait 20-30 minutes, but unfortunately we waited close to an hour for our mains to arrive. My mother’s beef was so tough she couldn’t cut it. She spoke to the waiter and expressed her disappointment, due to the condition of her main she did not eat the meat. The waiter offered a free dessert or the beef main taken off the meal, we appreciated the offer and understand mistakes happen but on Mother’s Day to have taken my mum out for a meal and she didn’t even get a proper main was extremely disappointing. We felt there was a lack of customer service, we regular enjoy a meal at your restaurant and have recommended the food to friends and family. Very disappointed .
