First visit to Duncan's Restaurant. Very happy with choice of food available, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. Would visit again!

Living down South, this is our go to for family catch up & one of my sister's favourite places to eat.Sadly we ate in her memory on Friday but will continue to book when I visit. I'm struggling to think of anything negative to say and I don't think we have ever had a bad meal here. Definitely recommend

This was my 1st time at Duncan's Very nice restaurant didn't like the table I got as it was very dark couldn't see the menu very well.. Food was plated nice I got the sea bass but unfortunately it was over cooked and dry, my husband got fish and chips looked really nice.. Over all liked ambiance of the place and would go back..

Staff lovely as always (although got the drinks order wrong and didn't bring the sugar or vinegar when asked) but food not as tasty as previous visits. Chilli and garlic prawns just tasted of chilli and chicken tempura very greasy and bland. It wouldn't stop me from going back as some staff were very young and obviously learning and the food is usually really tasty.

Service too rushed and food ok but disappointing. Thought it would be better. Quite ordinary. Sorry

Very annoyed to find that Sunday is apparently not part of the weekend. I booked in response to a promotion of a special weekend menu and when we got there we were told, very politely, that the offer did not include Sundays and was only available on Friday evening and Saturday. Not surprisingly, the regular menu was more expensive than the promotional one and did not include the same items.

The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and efficient. An enjoyable evening.

This is the first time us girls have been at Duncan’s for years. It’s beautiful inside, the seating is fantastic, you just feel really comfortable and the welcome was fabulous. The meal was very good indeed, lasagne was a bit dry and cheesy, wouldn’t order that again but everyone else enjoyed their main. The Lentil soup was delicious! The staff were so very lovely, our friend had lost a baby many years ago and tonight was light up the world for baby loss and they gave us a candle lighter and allowed us to each light a little tea light candle for our friends loss. This meant so much. Thank the brilliant staff for their patience and fantastic service. We will definitely be back in larger numbers next time. Thank you. Xx

This is a real gem! We had a pre theatre dinner with good choices and great value, but it was the flavours that impressed us, along with friendly but professional service. We'll definitely be back.

The menu is extensive and excellent value for money, there is something for everyone. 25% off on Tuesday evenings is also a welcome bonus! The staff are all lovely,delivering excellent service. Highly recommend Duncan's, you won't be disappointed. I will be back to try those delicious looking cakes!

I attended this establishment with my new work colleagues for a meal. I am 35 years old, have dined there many times and never been asked for ID when ordering a drink. This time I was asked for ID and unable to have a drink with my meal as I didn't have anything with me. I understand the challenge 25 rule however and let that go. I ordered the Korean bbq bao buns which I have had before and were lovely and not that spicy, however, this time they were so spicy I could barely eat them. The waiting staff were very good and did offer to change it for something else however the spiciness put me off eating anything. Afterwards I was given my dessert for free, however I do feel it was wrong that I was charged for the main course that I was unable to eat, I had maybe around four or five small bites of it before giving up on trying to eat it. When offering me the dessert for free, the staff member said that it was the restaurant's fault that my meal was too spicy to eat. My colleagues have stated that our next evening out will be elsewhere as they were not impressed by what happened. I booked here as it has always been a favourite and I have always had a good meal and great service, left feeling disappointed this time.
