A very disappointing meal at El Gaucho. The steak was good but the sides and dessert were disappointing. The service was poor, we had to ask for dessert and the bill, our cutlery was not changed between courses and we were effectively ignored once our food arrived. They did not have a number of the wines on the menu. Overall price did not match experience.

Enjoyed the meal, the steaks were fantastic washed down beautifully with a Quilmes and Malbec. Struggled to find initially as in a basement unit. Price was as expected.

Frozen vegetables, two waitresses extremely busy messaging on their phones. I’m not sure what the authenticity of the restaurant was. Quite poor to the expectations.

Everything excellent, we’re argentinians and the milanesa, empanadas, tira de asado and desserts were very good. The place is a bit weir looking but the food amazing.

Fillet steak was a bit fatty but my partner’s Sirloin and the rest of the meal was great! Lovely ambience too - rustic and cosy.

Staff is not friendly when you ask questions. Cold and unfriendly attitude. Food is so and so, overall is not that bad. Dessert is not that good and there’s not so many choice.

A little hidden gem for Argentinian food. We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Different items to try. Our nine year old daughter also enjoyed it.

Went there with my wife and kids on Sunday evening. Ordered Bife de Lomo, just as we used to do it in Buenos Aires, plus some Chorizo sausage and a burger for kids. Everything was perfect. Meat was just like in Argentina, very good. Kids enjoyed their meal a lot too. Wine, service, the premises - all well, nothing to complain at all. We'll come again next week.

Firstly, when the waitress bought out meals over she said someone forgot our starters so we were just given our main meals. A real shame as we had raved about the sausage starter to our Aunt whos birthday it was and hadn't been here before. Then my Ribeye that was ordered medium-rare came half rare (very rare) and my Dads T-bone was very fatty and grissely. We have eaten here before and took our Aunt out to dinner here this time as it was so lovely before. Pretty dissapointing as the steaks are not cheap and we had travelled up from Bedfordshire just to eat here. Plus, my brother actually left hungry as he didnt get his starter. Wont be visiting any time soon.

The meat was horrible not the experience I’ve had with Argentine restaurants. You can get a better cooked steak in a pub. And way cheaper. It gives argentine food a bad name (not even the chimchurri sauce was authentic). Go elsewhere

Food was great (portions, seasoning...everything was excellent). The empanada was beautiful with a thin crunchy pasty. Service was friendly and homely but needed a little attention. Lovely restaurant and a great decor!

Booked this lovely little restaurant as a treat for my hubby as he loves his steak and it didn’t disappoint! Quirky design in a cellar but great food and atmosphere.

Cheerful brutality is the aesthetic; huge steaks, mainly, which took a surprisingly long time to arrive. The wine tasted much cheaper than it was. Fair but coarse.

Good quality steak in a nice little restaurant. Nice selection of burgers, the Rib Eye steak was really good, so was the service and the wine.

The food is exceptional, the service average. It is a small authentic argentinian steak house, small but with soul. Would definitely recommend it as nr.1 argentinian steak house in London.
