A quirky and imaginative rural venue, compacted in a transformed low-level shed, has blossomed into a widely-acclaimed destination for a dining experience with a difference. Its modest rustic lay-out and wooden tables belies the promise of a memorable culinary experience. The wide-ranging menu of starters, mains and puddings, although not inexpensive, encompasses most discerning dinners desires and the fact that casual callers, who failed to invest in a reservation, are often disappointed to discover the price of their unfortunate presumption, testifies to the popularity and reputation of this appealing and consistently pleasing enterprise. Amazing food best Sunday roast I have ever had and the apple pie cheese cake is on another level. Would highly recommend to everyone and family friendly
We had a very nice lunch, in very beautiful surroundings. The welcome was very friendly. All in all a very pleasant lunch we'll be back.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable. We had a light lunch which was made from quality ingredients and well presented we will be returning to try the dinner menu
Restaurant is spacious with pleasant decor. staff attentive and helpful. Good choice of meals for lunch. Food was tasty and well presented. Have to go a long way to find Welsh rarebit this good!
Will return the service and food was excellent, a very smart looking restaurant, the location and setting is very relaxing, well worth a return visit.
Amazing food which is not overpriced we went as a group of 3 ladies on a Friday evening and had the A la carte menu. Highly recommend
Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. I would have rated it a six the only reason I didn't was because there was a bit of a wait for serving cutlery for the vegetables with the main course. Other than this the service was great. I will definitely be returning to the dining room it was all in all a wonderful experience. A restaurant like no other in the local area.
Excellent lunch.Good service.Good to see three local lads providing top quality food in a great setting.First time at the restaurant and definitely won't be the last
As good as previous visit.Food and service excellent. Luncheon menu extensive with good selection for none meat eaters. Toilet facilities require thought, more are required for such a popular venue.
Whilst the food and wine was excellent as usual, we were very crammed at out table. partly my own fault as I had booked a table for 7 then changed it to 8 last minute! If you sit in one of the booths (stables) then 4 people is comfortable and 6 is the absolute max!
We had a very pleasant meal at the restaurant. There were a couple of things that would have made it better. The food was all fine. The table we were sitting at had a foot rail underneath that was at just the right height to bang your shins and it was difficult to avoid this. The staff were very pleasant but if anything were over attentive. I think that they were not aware that more than one member of staff was checking on us so our meal kept being interrupted. The only other thing that marred the otherwise good meal was the length of time we were kept waiting, especially for our starters. I appreciate that we were in at 12 but that was a bookable time.
Another absolutely wonderful meal, fantastic service, gorgeous food and relaxed athmosphere. The food was cooked beautifully and perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be back very soon!
A gem in the Vale of Clwyd! The Dining Room will soon be known as 'the go to' place for those who like fine dining. We look forward to trying the rest of their offerings during the day.
Was ok but been to much better, food very sparse and a bottle of rjioca 38 pounds !!! Plus staff very attentive at first but boss in and all attention was given to him and his dining partner . Disappointed! Wont be making a return visit .
excellent evening Food spot on staff really attentive and good fun would certainly recommend for a good night out have booked for new year also
Probably the best Sunday lunch I've ever had (of course apart from that cooked by my wife). A lovely stables conversion, professional service and delicious food. A lovely pressed ham hock starter with a mustard sauce, roast beef cooked to perfection, a really top quality joint and beautifully pink in the middle, followed by a rich chocolate pudding. There are plenty of non roast choices as well. Will definitely go again
