We had a superb meal of fish and oysters. The service was exceptional. We love this restaurant.
Always happy atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here at Swallow Street. We always come here when we are in London.
Excellent food. Good set lunch deal. I would strongly recommend
This is a must for fish and seafood lovers ! The service is deft, friendly and helpful and the food excellent.it is also child friendly and cool in what was a hot day ! Definitely a place for a return visit. We have been twice now and look forward to our next visit !
Awkward start to meal: we were late, but there were loads of empty tables, yet the waitress told us she was about to cancel our booking! What was her point? The next waitress in attendance started clearing my plate, glasses, etc. when we informed her that we were one short, even though the table we had been led to was set for 3! These niggles were soon forgotten after the food and wine arrived, but perhaps the staff should have a drink before starting too. Chill, man...
The menu was new and interesting and the food was excellent (get the Hake and Chorizo). The service were attentive without being over bearing. The place was well laid out and nicely put together. Perfect!
Food was okay but not as good as I was expecting. I had the lobster thermidor and was not impressed with the flavour, too much like melted cheese with a sprinkle of herbs, the tails meat had not even been removed from the shell and mixed with the other ingredients!
If you like fish, you will love this place! Good service and not over priced. Would advise booking for Friday's and weekends because it gets busy, but walk in for mid week lunch.
I’ve been to Marylebone and enjoyed its independent feel. I wanted to love it more in Piccadilly. There’s a whiff of chain restaurant I didn’t expect. Food knowledge about oyster seasons was a surprise question. I sense connections. Fro the food to table missed something. The assertive waitress certainly felt confident in her service skills, if not her topic. Next door has more charm.
Great food and kind service! The scallops were incredible, the fried platter perfectly lightly breaded and served nice and hot! The wine list is also quite nicely paired with the food.
