I haven't been to the Forge for an awful long time,not deliberately,I hasten to add.We were thinking of somewhere different to go for my daughters 16th birthday.!So I booked a table for Saturday evening,it was brilliant !The menu was extensive,and we could have eaten every dish!My husband opted for the Lambs liver dish which he thoroughly enjoyed,my Mother-in-law&I both went for fish dishes,lemon sole&sea bass respectively,delicious.My daughter plumped for the gammon steak,it was fit for a King! The staff were really friendly&pleasant,we are definitely going back before Christmas! Hats off to all those who work at The Forge.

After waiting 40 minutes for two starters and asking how long the main would be the starters arrived We then had to wait a further 30 minutes for the main course The waitress was was downright rude The food was good when it finally arrived Very disappointed

Lovely meal and drinks! We ordered of the early evening menu which was great value for money. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, their cheesecake is amazing!

This place is a little gem everything was good food wine service had a great evening lovely atmosphere the place was buzzing will definitely be going back next time we are in southport

I normally love this restaurant and go on a regular basis. However I was very disappointed this time as my sirloin steak was extremely tough and not enjoyable

The food was excellent and the staff were extremely efficient and pleasant, we took some friends with us and they felt the same, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Thought it was brilliant. Good range of food on the menu, competitive pricing, excellent service and overall quite a nice venue. We'll certainly be going there again next time we're in Southport.

Can't think of anything negative to say: Good food, good service, good atmosphere, good value. A really good evening had by the entire party. What's not to like?

A hidden gem of a restaurant! Absolutely superb food, cannot recommend the fish dishes highly enough! Skilled chef and attentive wait staff make for a lovely dining experience.

We visited Forge Brasserie on thursday evening and I had a wonderful monk fish with Parma ham while my wife had a trio of fish and a very nice Chardonnay with the meal . The surprise was that we got 30% off all fish meals as Thursday nights offer.

Really enjoyed our meal at The Forge. Very reasonably priced too. The waiting staff were very efficient and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Food was excellent. Great flavours and generous portion sizes. Service was poor. Waited to be served drinks and were then offered coffee and deserts between starters and main course.

Warm and professional greeting. Extensive menu including many interesting fish dishes. All the dishes we had were excellently cooked and well presented. Decent wine list and the Sancerre was particularly good. A very enjoyable evening.

Fantastic food great service and very friendly staff. We have been a few times and are never disappointed. The seafood platter is amazing as was the desert.

A real treat for those who love seafood. we got a starter, side of oysters and a main each. Far too much for us to eat, but delicious nonetheless. Staff were very attentive and polite, and we will be back.

Simply the best fish dish I have ever had! The fish was very fresh and beautifully cooked and the service was exceptional given that there were only two serving!

The Forge is a fabulous place to go! The food is top class & the service is perfect! It is by far my favourite place to eat in Southport - would highly recommend it!

Food and service excellent as always. Staff very friendly nothing is ever to much trouble. They served my husband with a no salt meal which catered for his needs .

The best blue fillet steak I have eaten. Utterly delicious. Great food. Great service. Will definitely eat here again. Looking forward to my next visit already!

Greeting poor. Small cramped table close to others, private conversation impossible. loud noisy atmosphere due to raucous table nearby. Food disappointing/average. Looked forward to this meal for weeks , Will not be back Don't recommend it.

Forge Brasserie is a hidden gem, off the beaten track. Succulent steaks, fabulous "specials" and delicious desserts. Meat Night on a Tuesday offers 20% off the prices of the steaks. There is a similar "Fish Night" on Thursdays. Knowledgeable, attentive staff and attractive surroundings make the Forge a pleasant venue for a quiet meal for two or a larger party.

The Forge is a lovely restaurant. The staff are great, the food is very good for the price. Nice atmosphere and decor. Centrally located just five minutes walk from Lord Street.

lovely atmosphere. had the tdh menu 13.95 for 2 courses which was excellent. recommend the tri colour of fish which consisted of 3 small fillets of hake, salmon and monkfish. also my partners chicken chausser was tasty. not been for ages forgot how nice it was . have 2 make it a weekly thing

The forge is excellent every time I have been the food and service are spot on. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants Always an enjoyable experience

Lucky to get a table for two, had a welcoming greeting. Good menu and nice table with a great atmosphere. Excellant food with very good, attentive service. Can't wait to go again.

A very pleasant meal in very ambient surroundings. We both had a lovely steak meal. We would both highly recommend this establishment. But if you don't know the area well use a walking sat nav, but well worth the search.

We were first time visitors, having only read about the venue on Trip Advisor. However we were certainly not disappointed. Excellent food and great service and we would highly recommend. We look forward to returning

Lovely food, very attentive and knowledgable staff. They were very accommodating of me bringing non-alcoholic wine, agreed corkage. All round it was a very pleasant experience!

Good food, excellent staff, reasonable prices and good surroundings. Have not been here for 25 years and was pleasantly surprised. The serving staff were not even born then!
