Our main courses were offered before the starters, and then the starters took a further half an hour to appear. Two of the plates were returned as dirty before food was accepted on them. The lambs liver was tough and overdone. The salad served with the Thai style fish cakes looked tired, and the chips appeared to be scrappy and scattered over the plate. All in all a disappointing meal.

We all had the Sunday roast lamb the meals were not very hot even after asking for. them to be re heated also it was rather dried up as if they had been standing around a long time. We have had roast dinner here before and it has usually been very good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

It was my first visit to Forthergills this evening and I can honestly say it was some of the best food I've ever eaten. So delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back again.

Greeting was poor, we were taken to our table and then the girl just pointed to sit there.... after this we were pretty much left no one came to take our drinks order or tell us what the soups where !! I had to go to the bar to ask for this service ... the lady who served us had no idea what customer service was and showed no interest in us. In fact she was more interested in the French family near us she gave them lovely service. we had to wait ages for our food and then it was cold !!! wont go back

Overall, staff we nice however service was a bit slow. We waited about 50 mins between starter and main. When the main did arrive it was coolish in temperature and the chips were cold and soggy. We told the staff who were receptive and offered us a 10% discount. But the food was average.

Great service, staff excellent however food took a while to come but was busy so appreciate that but sadly when it dud come wasnt that hot. Sunday roast was lovely but again sadly luke warm

We were greeted promptly. Wine was expensive. I ordered a duck salad. There wasn't much duck and a lot of salad! Other portion sizes weren't very big. Toilets were untidy.

We really enjoyed the visit, food and service were great. The only thing I couldn't understand was why you aren't allowed to book tables outside on the hottest day of the year. A bit of an oversite by management. We went a little earlier than we had booked for and luckily got the last table.

Great meal. Tasty food. Great service. Good price. Only disappointment was selection of hand pull ales.

More vegan and veggie option would be great. Overall good .

Great service but it was Monday and there were only a couple of other tables. King prawn linguine disappointing due to size and quantity of prawns.

Unfortunately we arrived just as a number of Wrexham football fans were there. The staff took a long time to recover from the visit.

Smashing staff and ambience, good food choice, we all enjoyed the meal, lemon meringue tremendous. Impressive for the price and good options. Music a little loud initially. I would certainly go back.

shockingly slow service, I constantly had to leave me seat to go to look for staff. It was also very hot as no window could be opened where we were sitting.
