Free State Kitchen

We enjoyed our food and drink - especially the burgers and the G&T menu. The service was friendly and reasinably efficient for most of our visit. However, we waited over 30 minutes for someone to take our payment by card, despite a couple reminders as the waitress went past the table. In the end we managed to scrape together just enough cash to cover the bill and left. This spoiled an otherwise pleasant visit. Also, we visitied on a hot day. The inside was like an oven due to no dcisernable air-con. Outside only a couple tables had shade from the sun. They might want to think about air-con inside and more parasols outside.

Staff were very friendly and we were seated immediately on arrival. Service was very quick, and the food was unbelievable! Extremely tasty and you get a lot for your money.. I would go so far as to say that it was the best burger I have ever had.

Lovely food and great service. Sat outside as it was really warm. Waited about 15 mins for food and could not complain. Would recommend getting the peanut butter to put on your burger!

Burgers were good as usual but my wife’s Bombay Banger was dry and her hot dog roll was too crispy. Pity, as everything else was very nice.

Only minor issue was that our starter and main came out together without asking if that’s what we wanted. Other than that food was great and service was good

Basic setting but food more than made up for it ,Good quality food ,very well cooked ,Staff ,smiley ,polite ,and attentive .Wished for warmer weather to go and sit in the garden .Will be going back definitely. Highly recommended

Great Burn's night burger. All you want from a Burger Bar, great food, cheerful service, good atmosphere. Will definitely go back....as much for the Quince Gin cocktail as for the great burgers.

Good service nice atmosphere best chicken wings in liverpool they just need a kids menu to entice us back or mini versions of the adult menu as it's not suited to kids so harder for parents with kids to come

The food was really good, as always. I tried the vegan burger this time and it was really tasty. I was a bit disappointed that the offer for two cocktails only applied if two identical drinks were bought. I fancied an aperol while another of the group would have liked one of the gin cocktails, but as we couldn't have these under the two for £12 offer, we opted for other much cheaper drinks.

Have been here before so this is why i chose it again. We were served quickly, food arrived quickly and it was very enjoyable. Bill came quickly too.

The food here is amazing all american classics like burgers, hot dogs and Mac an cheese with vegetarian options too. They have happy hour for drinks with some of the most delicious cocktails and the staff are fantastic. Love this little hidden gem

Love it here, atmosphere and service always wonderful. The Christmas turkey burger was awesome and I'll be sad to see it go! The prosecco and cloudy apple juice is delicious

Our second visit here was another success! The Maryland Christmas burger was fabulous, as was the slaw and mac. We will definitely return and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a top class burger 🍔

Lovely staff and great meal , we had the veggie burger it was delicious , we had the mac and cheese as a side , best I’ve had . Quick service too . Second visit and we will be back for sure
