Very nice restaurant, food was excellent, service was slow but the staff seemed very keen for us to go, whisking away plates before we had all finished. Very strange!

Nice decor but lighting too bright hence the room lacks any atmosphere . Light music in toilets but sadly couldnt be heard within the restaurant. Food very good & full of strong flavours. Chef Arren very personable, eager to please and passionate of his good food. Cannot be said for the 2 members of staff. The greeting and waitering was far too serious & austere for this type of venue. A more light and friendly approach would be more welcoming.

The friendly service we received from the moment we entered the restaurant was outstanding. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the pudding was exceptional. The waitress was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Excellent food and accompanied by very knowledgeable staff. Able to adjust any dish on the menu to suit each individual, highly recommended for a group of a couple.

Some of the best food in town. This place is so underestimated! The quality of ingredients and the flavours of the dishes are just excellent. Great value for money too considering the skills of the chef.

Service was really slow and the wait for the main course was way, way too long. Some diners who had ordered just minutes before us had eaten all three courses before we had even received our main course! Everything from then continued to disappoint. Such a pity, the restaurant looked really inviting, the staff seemed very pleasant but the overall experience was not one we would wish to repeat.

Incredible service and amazing food....highly recommend this restaurant. The staff could not do enough for us. I especially recommend the tiger prawns and 3 cured meats for starters. Espresso martinis were also delicious

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a lovely vibe. The food is amazing and so fresh and very tasty, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit.

This was our first visit to From the South, really liked the atmosphere and options of bar and restaurant area. Food was really good so will definitely visit again to sample some more!!

The soup starter was very acceptable. Regrettably, the chef's Croque Monsieur was unrecognizeable, using the wrong cheese (cheddar instead of Emental), and piled high as the ceiling with toast, dripping in cheddar; most unappetizing.

THIS IS THE SECOND BEAUTIFUL MEAL WE HAVE EATEN HERE. THE STAFF ARE ATTENTIVE AND THE CHEF HAS INTRODUCED HIMSELF BOTH TIMES. A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Tapas was very nice although overpriced, the Restaurant interior is nicely done but no atmosphere whatsoever we were the only 2 booked in for lunch I was expecting some Christmas atmosphere, I would not rush back, although our barmaid / waitress was very pleasant.

A fantastic find in Ashley Cross, food was superb. This was our first visit as a result of a recommendation from friends who had eaten here previously. The staff were professional and attentive. We will return. Thank you.

Good food, attentive service and lively atmosphere. Wine list was more limited than normal due to issues with delivery but we still found a good wine!

Lovely warm welcome on a cold evening...walking into sumptuous decor and on a fluffy door rug we knew we were going to have a good evening. Service was excellent and food very good. Our meals were made to perfection, every little detail taken care of. There was enough of everything. The cheese board was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

Service fine but food wise it was poor value for money. It does not warrant a second visit and we will not be recommending it to others.

Service was friendly and courteous. There were 4 of us. Some of us thought the food was ok but general feeling was that it was not value for money.

Really nice friendly service and the food was very tasty. The wine choice is decent and something for all budgets. There does appear to be an excess of chairs around the place, less is more sometimes. Very much enjoyed the evening and will definitely return.

Fabulous décor and attentive staff. Great choice on lunch menu. Food was beautiful Unfortunately the friend I was meeting was sitting at another new restaurant in the area waiting for me ! We are going to try again next Monday.

The food was delicious and the portion size was sufficient. The squid risotto that came with my gish was not to my taste but that's just me. My husband had beef borginon which looked scrummy. The staff were very attentive and the decor was stunning. Will go again
