Had been meaning to come here for some time and eventually came with friends, everyone had a different meal we all enjoyed our choice, everything was faultless. The decor is excellent, such a good atmosphere and welcoming staff and service. We will return.

NASA use this place for astronaut training (cos zero atmosphere!). Just the two of us there all evening - but it *was* a Monday. Food is good though. I recommend the fish Balti. Geoff

We have been going here years and never had a bad meal but tonight the service was very poor, dishes were missed and a meal that was said to be medium was far too hot to enjoy. Then we had meet cats vousher wernot correctly deducted.will not be returning in a hurry

Visited The Gate last weekend, lovely venue, picture doesn't do it justice, food wonderful and staff attentative and respectful. Will be returning, as seems to the better restaurant I've found in my local area...

Had read the various reviews prior to our visit. We were warmly greeted by all (4) staff. There was no ambiguity over Marketeer discounts. The Lamb was tender and food beautiful / tasteful.....would recommend and obviously visit again.

We visited this restaurant as a large group, we received excellent service by friendly professional staff, more importantly the food all Delicious, we were all served together in a hot plate. Will definitely be returning

Food is very nice and good value for money. I took my daughter and most of the staff looked after her. Would definitely recommend this restaurant

Amazing food with alot of choice including vegetarian options and friendly staff. We take our 6 year old and shes always made to feel welcome.

Goid service, tasty food. Persuaded me to have a doggy bag so as not to waste food. Nothing fancy just a good ‘traditional’ ‘curry shop’

Exceptionally clean, attentive service (perhaps too much!). Have had better Indian food but at a much higher cost, but enjoyed my meal. Food good value for money on a special offer night. Recommend.

Food lovely, however the staff were awful. We felt as if they were trying to get us out as quick as they could even though at one point we were only ones in the place. They pounced on us as soon as we sat down asking what we wanted. Very pushy,one even moaned when I asked for a few more minutes to decide

Food was absolutely great ,and great service , staff always very friendly nothings too much trouble for them. Menu has chillies at side of dishes so you know how hot and spicy each dish is going to be before you order.

Very good experience loved the food some good options for my wife who does not eat meat. Will definitely go back at some stage try it

The food is delicious and served by the very friendly and attentive staff. They are always on hand to advise about the food and recommend dishes for your taste.When we visit gate of India we feel we are visiting friends. It's always a lovely atmosphere and our favourite restaurant.

Best curry I’ve had for ages good sized portions and good chunks of chicken tikka. Highly recommend. Steady service but got there in the end. Would definitely go back

Waiters were grumpy and seemed to be in a rush despite the restaurant not being busy. I won’t rush to come back. The food however was nice.
