Had a very enjoyable experience it was a very busy evening but the staff we attentive, the ambience was great and the food was excellent. Very positive experience

We were a little slow getting our meal, but the food was lovely and the staff were really attentive. Overall a really fantastic, Christmassy lunch.

Seven of us had an excellent lunch time meal. Good food and presentation; delightful service and great value. Must put George's on our list for lunchtime dining.

Nothing was too much for the staff from phoning with special requirements for one member of our party to giving us our coats at the end of the night. The food was good so too was the atmosphere. Our waitress, Felicity, met us at the door and remained with us throughout our visit She was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.

we cannot fault anything about our evening at George's. We went for my birthday 🎂. I was only in five minutes and given a free birthday cocktail 🍸 which was wonderful. The ambience was perfect and the food 🍴 amazing. A fantastic birthday treat. Compliments to the chef. We will be back.

The Sunday Menu has a good choice, the beef was superb and the quality of the food and service was excellent and I'd certainly go there again.

Delicious, fresh, well prepared, fantastically presented food. The staff are warm, friendly and approachable. We love to dine at George's and it is well worth the drive from stockport.

Visited George's to celebrate my nan's 90th birthday. We had the Sunday roast and both the food and service was excellent. Will be visiting again soon!

Lovely food. Great service. Enjoyed it. The soup was very nice, the steak was very nice, the chicken was very nice, the toffee pudding was very nice and the chocolate ice cream was very nice. Overall very nice.

Outstanding food ( oysters and fillet steak ) and fabulous friendly service. Not to mention superb cocktails ( Passion fruit and chilli mojitos a particular favourite). Plus 25% off On a Tuesday which was a pleasant surprise. Will we be back ? Absolutely

Fantastic service lovely atmosphere food was of a high standard crab linguine looked great but crab was overpowered by other ingredients some times less is more however could not fault anything else would recommend George's well worth a visit .

Fantastic atmosphere and food and drinks reasonable prices. Waitress was very friendly and explained everything perfectly. Would recommend you go on a Friday night as there is live music and cocktails are only a fiver.

Adequate service. Black pudding starter spoilt by hard poached egg, roast pork was fine, the roast potatoes and the sweet potato were raw. The waitress told me al dente! To my knowledge only pasta, vegetables, rice and beans are cooked firm. My two guests meals were fine except for the potatoes (Aunt Bessie). I paid the bill in full.

I regularly eat at the George. The staff are excellent and the food is fantastic. Today we were served by a cheerful blonde lady who went out of her way to accommodate our request for a breakfast after 12pm.
