Great location, option of inside/outside, on nice days one can sit under cover on the porch with the doors open. the food and wine are very good.
I have been there three times and have been impressed each time with the quality of the food. Quiet restaurant on a cul de sac off of Brompton Road. Excellent value.
Food is consistently good in this small restaurant just off Knightsbridge. It's tucked away, but ideally located for shopping at Harrods or exhibitions at the V&A.
As ever, excellent, great service, food, wine, best front of house in London. With the most delicious calves liver to be had for miles around
loved the place . and the service . it was a great experience
A great dinner. Quite back street,- with very good location. Limited but very good menu, limited but very good wine list. The foof was great. Friendly and service minded personnel, very friendly and attentive owner - who was present all the time. A plus for the possibilty to sit outside "on the pavement" - whcih we did.
Superb food as usual, good wine and a warm welcome. Cannot fault this small restaurant in a lovely small street off Knightsbridge, ideal for exhibitions at the V&A Museum.
Our second visit to this lovely, comfortable,, elegant restaurant this time with our children and family visiting from New Zealand. Chosen for its superb food, wine and service after a visit to the V&A. Highly recommend.
Cosy restaurant, and the food was delicious! Two of us had duck, cooked to perfection, and my pasta was lovely. The seafood salad looked good too, For us all the zabaglione was out of this world and we all had it. Since wetware having a reunion we,were, all happy to spend, most of the afternoon In the restaurant and were left in peace to talk. Thismwasmamvery good, food experience!
Ezquisite swordfish, great service, and a shadey table on one of our first hot and sunny days in June. Giovannis is Italy in a quiet street off the bustle of Knightsbridge.
This was our first visit to Giovanni and we loved it. Very good menu, lots of specials and good and friendly service. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Fantastic food, would really recommend the duck! Giovanni always has great service and just the right size of crowd in it for an atmosphere that doesn't seem oppressive.
The location is perfect, and the decor was neat and chic. BUT. The food was nothing exceptional. The server/seemingly manager was loud on the phone about staffing issue. If I had planned to have dinner there I would have cancelled it as it seemed the chef would not show up! He also gave one or two almost-smile. Looked like he had the world on his shoulder. Apart from the fact that apart from my table there was only another one occupied, the athmosphere is not relaxing. WIll not return.
The food was excellent, the service diabolical. To call it Fawlty Towers would be a compliment. Although the restaurant was only half full it was exactly an hour from arriving before we had food of any sort; not even a breadstick was offered and it took 15 minutes to be given menus. The white wine was not kept chilled and the waitress had to be coached by the manager in every action. The service in a restaurant charging these premium prices was unacceptable.
Food was extremely good, also friendly staff. A small restaurant, just off the beaten track in Knightsbridge, but one which I will certainly visit again.
We loved our lunch. Most delicious food, excellent service and lovely interior. Great location too - just hidden in back street in Knightsbridge. Will definitely go back.
We booked a last minute dinner there on a . The restaurant was busy but not packed. the staff and owner (I think he was the owner) were very friendly and the food was delicious! Definitely going back.
We loved it! The authentic Italian food, the atmosphere, the smallness and good service. Andreas is outgoing and genuine. Our favorite Italian red - Nero Amaro.
A very pleasant Italian restaurant Good menu. Nice food. My grilled fillet of seabass was delicious, accompanied by veg and tasty roast potatoes. Attentive and obliging service.
Fabulous Spaghetti lobster! Wonderful service and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this authentic Italian restaurant. Very reasonably priced too. We will be back soon for sure.
Found this restaurant by chance on the internet. Didn't know what to expect but very impressed by both the food and the ambiance. Will definitely come back again.
Good food and service. We had chicken papardelle and veal liver. Quiet at lunchtime which suited us for conversation. Worthy alternative to other Knightsbridge Italian restaurants.
5 of us had dinner there about 2 weeks ago- we were visiting London as a prelude to a trip to Ireland- the restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel- which is nearby... the Egerton House... it was a great place- décor lovely, very welcoming... food was superb... truly great Italian.. excellent wine list and outstanding service.. we will be coming back to London next year and absolutely will book again...
Another great dinner, food is consistently delicious! Would recommend to anyone
Very nice meal and service in a cosy environment. I have not been for some years and found the menu choices all tempting. I would particularly recommend the crab and avocado salad as a starter!!
Another stellar dinner and we were just back from Italy! Lovely staff, delicious food and reasonable prices
