Excellent value for money. Huge bowl of tasty mussels in delicious sauce, followed by chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce served with Veg. Very filling. Wine was very reasonable at £14.95 for house red. Would return

The guy that served us for lunch and drinks all day was friendly and gave a great service. Quick service, we were not waiting long before he would come and make sure everything was ok if people needed other drinks. If we went to bar to order more drinks he was the only one to offer to bring over to our table. Sorry I can’t remember his name but he was great! Food was amazing, no complaints round the table. Good deal for set lunch menu. Will definitely be back as a group! Thanks again!

Service was slow and the rose wine was not nice. The food was ok.

Sad that restaurant advertised food as Gluten Free when it was not. Gluten free means NO gluten containing ingredients. It meant my daughter was limited to eating salad for main course. We will not go back to Grand Cru.

I thought the food was below average. The pate was not home made, it used to be. The pasta was distinctly average (2 in our party shared the same sentiment). The chicken was served with side veg but no potatoes? We won’t be back.

Special 2-course lunch was very good value and delicious. Service by some staff was dreadful. The restaurant was really quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. Three of us arrived to enjoy a birthday lunch and we were joined by a third friend about an hour later who asked for a separate bar tab as she was only ordering pink gins. She asked for the bill for three pink gins and instead was brought three more pink gins. She pointed out the error and a member of staff came over with her bill on a silver dish and virtually threw it on the table in a fit of annoyance. We were shocked by this display of petulance, especially when the error was made by their own staff. We sat from 2 p.m. until approx. 6 p.m. and after lunch and wine we ordered more drinks. The table was not cleared once of glasses and we had stacked them together at the end of the table to enable them to be collected and this did not happen. Review: Food good, price good, staff need some training in customer service.

Great food at very reasonable prices for a capital city centre restaurant bar. Fixed price £12.95 for 2 course dinner with adequate choice. Service pleasant and attentive. Happily return. Great value!
