Good food and good service. Very good offer of 2 steaks for the price of one. Took my mum there for Sunday lunch, would go again

First time going there and l don't think l will go back . Me and my family ordered steaks and they where not even hot and their salmon wasn't fresh . Not enough waiters only had 1 and 1 chief hence why our food was cold . They over price their food so much you would expect a hot steak and their soft drinks tested funny I returned my sprite twice only to ask for a coke which didn't taste like coke . The only thing l enjoyed was there chocolate fudge brownie desser it was lovely . Overall the set up is nice romantic couples .

Restaurant had no atmosphere and wasn't busy at all. Although steak was well cooked, everything else wasn't. Chips were not edible, veg were way to salty and onion rings very oily. It's a shame as the steak was good!

Food was excellent and service was good. Had a wobbly table, but it was soon sorted out. Wine list is not extensive, but had a very nice Merlot. We both had a fillet steak; cooked to perfection. Came with fries which were already seasoned...too much salt for my liking, so would ask for them not seasoned next time...all in all a lovely meal and made better with an offer voucher which helped with the overall bill

the burger was burnt and the macaroni cheese very dry and overcooked. the offending items were returned and taken off bill with apologies and dessert was given complementary but the experience was disappointing overall and I can't trust that the food will be better next time so I won't return.

It the third time to Greens in a year and unfortunately the standards are slipping badly. It's a shame as the restaurant is cute and there are not many highlights in Southgate. This time the kitchen was excruciatingly slow (half the tables were empty so you would think they would be able to cope) and when my starter of calamari arrived it was deeply disappointing and while the 8 small pieces of squid were artfully arranged on the plate it didn't hide the fact that the portion was tiny and frankly a rip-off. It also didn't help that our waiter didn't even acknowledge that we had to wait 40min for the starter. Another half hour to the main (this time with apology and a free drink). The steak and ribs were delicious but by this time, what was a spontaneous romantic evening out turned into a frustrated "I wish we'd stayed in an cooked ourselves". Verdict: Must try harder!

Lively atmosphere and the midweek steak deal is an excellent one. Steak was excellent (though the ribeye was a bit fattier than previously this time), chips and sides v good, desserts (including still-frozen sorbet) slightly disappointing. Our waiter was a bit 'off' as well. Manager much nicer though. Still some of the best steak I've had in London.

It was my first visit to the restaurant. Nice ambience. Food was good. Wings were delicious. Good service. I would recommend and go back again.

Rib eye on the bone was a bit tough and the waitor said that's due to it being marbled, which isn't true, that should have the opposite effect. Ribs were very tender on the outer ribs but not so much on the inner ribs, chicken wings were nice. Sorbet dessert are small portions. Service charge automatically added to the bill.

Great value (the Monday to Thursday deal was awesome) - strong service and will definitely return. Steaks could perfectly. Calamari could have been better though!

Greens was a lovely place, atmosphere was just what we was looking. The food was amazing and the potions were a really good size. The only problem was a waiting staff who was slow and didn't seem happy to be there no they only had one waiter for the whole restaurant.

We came on a Monday evening party of 8 - only one other table of similar size very quiet. It wasn't until we left we saw a board outside with a special menu deal it would have been nice if the waiter had offered this to us at the table.

Good value deal for steak and wine but steak pretty poor, very chewy and loots of gristle, which was disappointing, plates were cold to touch and the fries also cold and no crunch

The food is great, I cannot fault it at all. I always have a good meal when visiting this restaurant. However, the same cannot be said about the service. It take a while to order and the waiters are not very friendly or helpful. There is also sometimes up to an hours wait for food, even on a quiet night in the week. Previously on weekends, we have waited 30mins for drinks and orders to be taken and an hour and half for our meal to arrive in front of us. Food I can recommend, service I cant.

Absolutely very good One item was not quite what we wanted and a free glass of wine was provided with no charge for the item. Staff attentive without being intrusive.

The waiter did not know anything about the wine and the chips tasted like they had been reheated. Sorry to say I would not go back.

Visited Greens at the weekend for the third time, and as usual very good. Staff very friendly and attentive and seemed very knowledgable. Personally I believe it's one of the best places to get a steak locally and at a reasonable price.

The staff were friendly and the food good, however the service was painfully slow. We waited 20 minutes from our main course plates being cleared to receiving the dessert menus, by which we had given up! We then had the torturous wait for the bill, which I had to stand up to get anyones attention. I understand they were down on staff, however I can not comment on what I did not see, only my own experience.

Food was very good and came out suprisingly quickly, too quick in fact. Something missing though. Ambience, atmosphere was a little flat. Staff were friendly and service was good.

Left without dining. Ask to move tables in a almost empty restaurant but was refused. So left as I was not going to sit in the door way in the cold

Great steaks. Fantastic cocktails. Good deserts. Avoid the Mac and cheese as it is plain pasta with a cheese top - very bland. Good service though.

Burgers were great and will definately return for another as was the wider menu choice, portion size and most of the food. The children's menu needs some more thought (Mac'n'cheese on chips as a dish didn't work, was far too stodgy and our son struggled, disappointed no sign of any side salad or fresh veg) Service was really slow even though not very busy and £1 for a little bit of bottled hot sauce was a bit steep, sliced jalapeños would have been much better, hence 4.5/6 not a 5/6. Next time will go without the kids as not really that family friendly.

We had a 3 course menu on a Sat night. Carpaccio with Parmesan, and Salmon Rilette, was followed by a rare fillet steak and sword fish, the fish of the day. The fillet steak was fattier than I would expect. Desserts were White Forest Gateau and the trio of sorbets. The blood orange was particularly good, The Kir Royale was too sweet and lacking in raspberry. The Temperanillo was not the best choice for wine. There was no camomile tea so we had green tea. Overall it was enjoyable but lacking in certain refinements. I had been earlier in the year on fathers day with a big group and had been a little disappointed. Last night was an improvement.

Excellent evening out. Delicious, well cooked food and good wine served by pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Good to have a chat with the French chef, who knows how to cook a blue steak!

Steaks were lovely on a positive note, but sadly experience of service was poor...we were asked if everything was OK and asked if they were understaffed that evening and advised there had been an offer on, it felt said having said this the service did not improve and nothing was done.

This was the 2nd time I have been to Green's Steakhouse & Grill and I must say, two very different experiences. The first time was superb, but this time, the restaurant was empty and the food was very mediocre. I ordered the exact same dish - Ribeye on the bone, medium rare. The steak was very rare near the bone and didn't have that grilled flavour and was not hot enough. The roasted garlic wasn't cooked properly and still fairly firm. The atmosphere was non-existent as well. This was probably just a bad night, so I won't write them off yet.

I think Greens has changed hands. Sadly although my fillet steak was great my dad's wasn't. All of the fries were overcooked and dry. They no longer do roasts on a Sunday and the menu has changed for the worse. Really disappointed. Service was great though.

Streaks are great as always, but the salad leaves were a little brown on the edges and some of the steak fries were hard (reheated perhaps?). I hope this was a one off.
