Food and service were both very good. On this occasion the restaurant was very cold and noisy, not a very cosy, comfortable evening.

Great place for a more refined lunch. Quality food, attentive service, and excellent value. Sunday roast 3 course deal is really good.

We had a lovely lunch at Hadley House. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the outside play space. The service was attentive but not in your face and the food was delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you

It’s was quite noisy, service wasn’t great. The staff were friendly but not attentive. We asked for no salt on the chips for the kids and they still put some on. Our food was too dry too. Shame as the manager was friendly and the place caters to children.

The visit overall was disappointing and with hindsight would never have booked to eat there. The service was poor due to a party booking. Which was slightly concerning when the guest of said party kept asking me to assist them. The team did not work together therefore we witnessed them fighting. Not the best experince.

Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great and doing their best to be quick and efficient. It looked a bit that you were understaffed.

Fantastic place to eat. Really nice atmosphere, really good, tasty, quality food. Very friendly and helpful staff. The service was fast and efficient. The surroundings are really pleasant, modern and bright. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. It has a very good atmosphere. The food was certainly of good quality. Fresh and served hot. Also a good selection of drinks from the bar.

Really good Sunday roast, wine and gin selection excellent. Friendly atmosphere and not too overcrowded. Regular menu is good, risotto is particularly good and fish specials are worth a try.

It started off very nicely, until thete seemed to be a private function that took over the whole place and we had people standing and eating all around us, very noisy and service became very slow. completely unacceptable. Won't go again.

Our ladies lunch was very good. Food was excellence and staff very attentive and polite. The only regret was the loud music at lunch time. Definitely will visit again.

Friendly staff but considering how quiet it was service was slow. When the mains finally came the food wasn't very hot. As for my starter don't have the salted beef that was awful.

So my partner and I moved to the area over a year ago and have tried many bars and restaurants in the area. The ‘bar and restaurant’ sign outside Hadley House had actually put us off going here as it makes the place look cheap and tacky (in our opinion that sign should go). You can’t really see inside when you walk past either and it is not clear what kind of place this is. However curiosity got the better of us and we booked a table for Saturday night. When going onto their website I was surprised to see it advertising itself as a fine dining restaurant. I would never have thought. Before attending the restaurant my partner walked past the place in the day and saw a sign outside advertising a DJ. Is it a fine dining restaurant or a pub/club??? To be fair we love both so it didn’t put us off. Our booking was early. When we arrived we were very surprised with the decor. It was beautiful!! The place was empty. The food was nice. Some better than others. I ordered the pate for start which was nice except for the chutney. It wasn’t a chutney, just a piece of fruit put in a bowl. I had to cut it up myself just so I could eat it with the pate. My partner had the salted beef which he said was nice but a bit too much mayo. For main my partner had the confit duck which was amazing and I had the sea bass which was nice but needed a sauce or something to accompany it as was a bit of a dry dish. Deserts were nice. The service was excellent and even though we were the only people there we were not bothered too much. The manager was very nice and made himself known. He made us feel welcome. Throughout the evening we were reminded a few times that there was a DJ on at 9pm and we said we’d stay and give it a go. After our meal we moved into a sofa area. A few more people had come in to eat or kid to drink although still quiet. If I’m honest the DJ was a little disappointing. For the first half hour I didn’t recognise any of the music then later every other song was something I knew but they were a bit random. The DJ looked bored. At around 10.30 we left and went to a nearby pub. I’ve given this place four stars because I actually loved it but I have no idea what it is. Is it a fine dining restaurant? Is it a bar? Is it a club? A family with two kids came for dinner later in the evening and I don’t think they were expecting a DJ to go with their nice meal. If the DJ played modern pop music we would have stayed but it was too quiet and the music wasn’t good enough. Also the DJ wasn’t well advertised in the area. Finally this place isn’t very welcoming from the outside. My partner and I would never have walked in there on a night out as it seems so closed off. We now know that you can just walk in and we will definitely come in for a drink or two in the future. We would also come back to eat. It just needs to work out what it wants to be and advertise itself to High Barnet.

Great Atmosphere and service. We were made to feel very welcome. The starters were the best part of our meal and fish of the day was fabulous.

Service slow....took 15 minutes to take even a drinks order. Large noisy party in upstairs room. Food was good and staff friendly. Unfortunately at 9.pm they had a DJ right next to our table playing loud 'house' music. All the diners including us left the restaurant at this point. This is not acceptable on a Saturday night......you are either a restaurant or a nightclub. Don't pretend to be a restaurant and then blast music at your customers to make them leave at 9pm. Make a decision.....we felt we had been misled....

Very attractive décor and pleasant surroundings were let down by average food quality and value for money. My Sunday roast lunch of roast beef consisted of one average sized slice of over cooked meat with a large piece of fat attached, four small roast potatoes, one small Yorkshire pudding and a garnish of carrots and broccoli. Although this meal included a pint of lager, it was still poor value. It could be a great venue but changes to the food quality and quantity need to be addressed. The service was generally very good.

Excellent food, service, ambience, background music and staff. This is a very well organised and run restaurant. We have been here four times now in the last year and will keep coming back. Thank you everyone at Hadley House. It was my 66th Birthday today and my Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Lamb Shank and thoroughly enjoyed her meal too. See you again soon, Mr & Mrs J & D Richardson

Overall really good. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive throughout. Steak was a little overdone but it always happens I'm just going to start asking for them rare! Everything else, top drawer- the brownie was possibly the best I've had ! Lovely
