The perfect place for eating with friends and family in Wilmslow, on the menu at Heddy’s you’ll find an array of delicious mezze, ideal for sharing around the table. Start off your Middle Eastern experience by sharing some falafel, borek, kibbeh, tiger prawns or stuffed vine leaves, before moving on to the main affair. Some of the delicious choices on offer over at Heddy’s include shashlik (marinated lamb chops served with a skewer of vegetables and a side of rice, cooked to your liking on charcoal) and grilled seabass.
Herbivores have plenty of great options to choose from here, with options like the grilled halloumi and the delicious couscous. Known for its high quality cuisine and warm atmosphere, Heddy’s on Water Lane is a popular choice for a special evening in Wilmslow, drawing in crowds of hungry locals as well as foodies from further afield in Manchester. To avoid disappointment, booking in advance is recommended.
This was our fourth visit to Heddy's. As on the previous occasion the food and service were excellent and we will definitely be returning. We particularly enjoyed the sharing starter platter. Not a cheap meal but good for special occasions
Delicious food with lots of options. Many options are vegan friendly. Service was outstanding, very attentive but with plenty of room to breath. Highly recommend
We love it here. Food and service are excellent. Really good choice of dishes, specials and wine - Something a little different. Would strongly recommend.
The first thing to say about Heddy's is the standard of service, which is friendly, efficient and welcoming and from arrival we were made to feel at home. There is a substantial menu and different offers are on during the week - last night was fish Friday and it represented good value of a starter and main course, each a different glass of wine. As a vegetarian, I had a great choice and the baked aubergine was delicious - and I don't normally like aubergine. The meat and fish my companions had were equally as good and while they have an extensive wine list, the house wine was a very good, high quality option. I would recommend Heddy's to anyone, including families as there are good choices for children, and we will definitely be going back.
Four of us dined at Heddy's on Tuesday this week. Two of us had eaten there before and the food on this occasion was as always - delicious. Our starters of Calamare with lemon mayonnaise was delicious, followed by main courses of baby Halibut with seasonal vegetables and lovely chunky chips which was beautifully light and also delicious. Have said it before but will say it again, Heddy's is definitely the best restaurant in Wilmslow.
This is the second time I've visited Heddy's food is excellent and staff inviting and very friendly, if you're thinking of a good night out in Wilmslow with great food then you need to put Heddy's on your list PS sticky toffee pudding not to be missed
Excellent food and service. Very friendly and helpful staff who were willing to answer any questions or queries you had about items on the menu. The quality of the food was super and very reasonably priced. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heddy's and certainly have plans to visit there again.
We have not been to Heddys for a long time but we were greeted with a very warm welcome by both Heddy and hus wife Cathy as if we had been there last week. We were tempted by Heddys Fish Friday offer and we were not disappointed. The food which was paired with some wonderful wines was absolutely fabulous and we even had the man himself in the kitchen, nice work Heddy. We are looking forward to our next visit to work through the à la carte Menu which, from memory, has some great dishes.
Good quality home-style cooking: excellent mix of Arabic influences, and cosy atmosphere with nice traditional and comfortingly old-fashioned decor with lovely lighting and white tablecloths: a real plus these days! Fixed Price Mid-Week menu is reasonable value but portion sizes are modest, so if you're hungry, perhaps go for the A la Carte choices. Inexperienced staff on this occasion resulted in some confused service, but I would definitely look forward to going again: next time, ordering off the main menu in order to sample a bit more of the diversity of the food styles.
My wife and I have been regular customers of Hedd'y as far as we can remember since he first took over the current premises so it is obvious since we keep returning there that we are very satisfied with the service, food and friendly atmosphere we always find there. It is also obvious that Heddy has a large body of loyal clients who visit regularly. We heartily recommend this venue to anyone considering whether or not to try it!
