Service and food was delicious. Perfect atmosphere. I have not tasted such delicious salt and pepper squid before. Ideally should have more than one toilet. Had to queue up to use when I first arrived.

Awesome food! We went to Hei Hei for a friend's birthday both of us have recently been to china with school. The food was superb! The whole aubergine tasted like a cloud! The other guests had never been to Hei Hti before and will be going back! Thank you!

The fod was very god, and well served. The atmosphere was oriental. I will suggest to buy bottled water, as the tap water does not taste good.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with a good atmosphere and efficient staff. Frequent visitor and see no reason why this would stop! Always spoilt for choice on the menu.

Food was lovely however service left us disappointed .During the night on two separate occasions staff dropped cutlery onto two of us both leaving stained clothing.No apologies even when over pouring our drinks. Shame because as I said food was lovely.

Food & presentation was very nice, it just seemed that a combined lack of atmosphere & happy hour seats were all in the back of the restaurant whilst the front of restaurant stayed empty for our whole visit. The front of the restaurant would have given a nice street view & felt more part of the experience of a restaurant visit. Would go again but would prefer to eat from main menu. For a quick visit at 5pm (2 people) & with 2 soft drinks the cost was £22, so not the cheapest place for an early evening meal but food was nice.

Female staff were very polite, we had a male waiter who really doesnt enjoy his job. Never smiled, quite abrupt, almost barked what he was saying. Spilt my hubby's drink as he was like a whirlwind, like he was on fast forward all of the time. His repsonse to spilling the drink was 'oh crap' didnt apologise. Food was ok, hubbys beef in black bean was lovely, my crispy shredded beef was like empty crispy batter that had been over done. Not much beef going on. Fried rice was nice. Sharing platter was tasty although ribs were quite fatty. Drinks were very expensive. All in all was an average night. Atmosphere was quite poor, our own company made up for it. Dont think I would book again I'm afraid.

I was surprised to find a Szechuan restaurant in Newcastle. Service was nice and fast. Food was excellent. Ambience was soothing and venue was clean. One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Would come again.

Lovely food but service from one male member of staff spoiled it slightly. Quite rude and clearing the table he made more mess on the table and my brothers shirt because he didn't want to make two trips.

Service was rushed, even though there was hardly anyone else in. Waiter was rude and off hand as if he had a load of tables to serve but there was literally only another one table in when we first went in, asked for some prawn crackers he didn't say yes or anything to us just walked away and shouted for someone else to bring them. Food was ok, had better. Won't be back.
