1st time back since lock down at Christmas. As always a warm reception on arrival, personally remembering my name. Like a well oil coil, drinks order swift. Food order really easy one menu to jot down your choices for table. Food spectacular!! So pleased your back open and survived the last lockdown we will be back for more I promise

Friendly efficient staff. Temperature taken at door with Track n Trace details and anti bac. Taken to table ensuring mask is worn. Menu is extensive. Particularly like tick food options so only one menu used. Can I say this very Covid 19 Friendly. Our 3rd time on the bounce. Food is so good. The big sizzling platter of starters amazing, love the option of everything coming together too. My husband and I like to pick n mix. At long last we have found a go to for curry. Along great atmosphere speedy service quality food and drink win win!

It's just the Best. Lamb Bhuna and Tarka Dhall with Ban Bread and a couple of pints of Cobra.

Very nice food, very friendly staff. They seemed to have forgotten about us but when they did bring the food out it was amazing. Can’t fault them as it was incredibly busy which is what you would expect from a great restaurant. No complaints from us.

Second night in a row visiting the Hen and again brilliant food on offer. Mixed it up with the chilli chicken, lamb madras and some masala fries, along with usual pilau rice and chapatis. Definitely my go-to place for food in Birmingham!

Another visit to the H&C, this time took along a colleague. Delicious lamb bhuna for me and he was that taken with his chicken biryani (and a couple of good pints) that he wanted to go back for more the next night!

Excellent food. Probably one of the best curries I’ve ever had

This is our 2nd visit to the Hen & Chickens and this place is absolutely fantastic. We were a party of 4, everyone enjoyed the meal, it was excellent value for money and the atmosphere was cool. Also, great location in the Jewellery Quarter. Will be back again.

Sadly our table was very small, and we struggled to get all dishes on it. Our friend was running late (we had a late booking at 8.15) and were told kitchen stopped at around 9.00-9.15. We had barely finished eating and were asked to move into the other room, we had just bought another round of drinks and then were asked to finish them off. So although the food was nice, it was sadly over showered by our very very rushed experience, which was a shame as you had been recommended to us.

Three of us ate after watching a disappointing game at the Hawthorns,this picked us up. Table ready before our booked time meant we could sit down and enjoy a couple of pints of well kept Tribute.Lovely fresh ,light and crispy popadom followed by chicken madras ,pilau rice & garlic naan .All superb.See you soon.
