Had a very good meal. Choice is limited, could do with more steak options. Staff were very friendly. Had a really nice evening. Would go again

Very nice surroundings, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful, we went ad hoc on a Monday night and the comfort menu was on offer, fantastic value for money, good choice of dishes and all served piping hot, definitely go again and would recommend. There are too many places offering "home cooked food" for extortionate prices and it's not, this place is for real, give it a try!!

I took visiting friends from the North East for Sunday dinner prior to their long journey home. This this was my first visit. The food was excellent in very comfortable surroundings, the staff were very helpful and friendly. My friends went home satisfied and full. We all would thoroughly recommend the Hercules Revived.

Really good atmosphere down stairs. Food is completely on point with the food. Service was really good (maybe a little slow when it got busy but there was only one person serving so couldn’t be helped - but he was very attentive)

Excellent food, staff very attentive and also very noticeable the teamwork and helpfulness between the young members of the waiting staff, nice to see and creates a lovely atmosphere!😀

Good interesting menu, and pleasant atmosphere. Service could have been a little quicker, but staff were pleasant and obliging. Feel that it would be helpful to have a choice of table, since ambiance is different on the two levels of the restaurant.

Quality food good atmosphere & room for the dog - so fab all round. Book an early slot if you don’t want to wait for meal though

A very cold and windy winters day. I should have put a jumper on, as I was a little cold in there. The food was great, service was good. A nice little pub.

Wow! Such fantastic food in a lovely setting. The main courses that we had were amazing. The service was excellent. It was a great evening.

Food was excellent and fairly priced the only negative would be the time waiting for each course - Had three different waiters and felt it was slightly unorganised considering it is only a small place.

Very relaxed ,warm and comfortable on a cold winter's night. Good wholesome food at a reasonable price obviously prepared with care and attention. We will return.

Compact bar but comfortable and quite homely, lovely country style restaurant and great food. Friendly helpful staff, non-pretentious and relaxed whilst providing a good service. Recommend this place.

Lovely food, pate was delicious (extra large portion of fish and chips ) to full up to have a dessert, lovely staff, warm and cosy wonderful would recommend to everyone

Lovely food, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff, always a great evening! The food is very hearty and warming, very generous portions. They usually choose wine well on the menu to go with the food. Nice atmosphere even just for a drink

Great place,very friendly warm staff and food is absolutely superb,every course was presently faultless and tasted even better. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the meals and on Mondays and Tuesdays 3 courses for £18.95 is exceptional as you wouldn't get better quality food at a restaurant triple the price. I can't stress enough how good this place is from service,food,quality and price you will struggle to find better,a real treat.

Good food and good service in pleasant surrounding and easy parking. Only negative was the downstairs dining area in bar area was a bit cold.

We have been to The Hurcules a few times and every time the food has been wonderful and the service fabulous. We will certainly be going back again.

Great meal with excellent service and even had a lovely conversation with the chef. The restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere and the food was tasty.

The food here is always delicious. On Boxing Day the waiting staff seemed a little overwhelmed.This is unusual so I was not put off returning.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere; the manager and his staff are very welcoming. We had to increase our table size at the last minute and this was done with minimum fuss on an extremely busy Boxing Day.

Fabulously quaint authentic British Pub, just like they were in the olden days but with some lovely modern touches. Thoroughly enjoyable meal, could have eaten it all over again. Thanks Team

Nice cosy environment, friendly staff, lovely food. It would’ve been nice if the fire was on when we got there as it was a bit cold inside and a horrible evening out. It was not till later on when the room filled up with people did we all feel warm. For top marks it would’ve been good if the staff had remembered who was having what to eat and drink to avoid breaking up the conversation at the table.

FABULOUS MEAL FIVE OF US EACH HAD A DIFFERENT CHOICE, ALL CAME QUICKLY , PIPING HOT AND DELICIOUS. LOVELY DINING ROOM, AND NO RUSH TO GET US OUT.

This was our first time at the Hercules Revived and the experience was excellent from the warm welcome from the staff, the stylish decor and delicious, well-presented food.

Excellent food, definitely good comfort food menu. Good value in relaxed atmosphere. Burger was huge and full of flavour, fish was and chips very good although would have liked batter more crispy. I would highly recommend this as a place to eat.

A lovely festive atmosphere, attentive friendly service, and delicious well presented food from the Christmas party menu...all at a reasonable price. Can't ask for more.
