Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Food quality excellent, lovely ambiance and excellent service. Just check your bill. We were overcharged by the cost of a meal. We were also charged £1.80 for a jug of tap water! That said, I would not hesitate in recommending the restaurant.

We attended for Sunday lunch,we had turkey although not a lot, two small roast potatoes, two carrots between three, I could go on , disappointing because we go to the Hercules quite a lot and usually are well satisfied.

First time we had visited The Hercules. The staff were really friendly, attentive and helpful, the surroundings great and the food was absolutely fabulous!

Warm greeting. Somewhat busy when we arrived due to a large party. Once at our table we were well looked after. Nice menu options and the food was very good. A wonderful evening, highly recommended.

Excellent food at a reasonable price. Very much enjoyed it. Only criticism was the use of paper napkins underneath the starter and main which were unnecessary and not very environmentally friendly.

The food was absolutely lovely and the staff were great. I like how the chef comes out to see if everything was alright with your food.

Our nephew & his Australian wife were over from. Downunder. It was perfect, set in the English countryside & near the historical battlefield. Great atmosphere & superbly presented food.

Fantastic time as always. Only criticism is thot for veg between 3 of us we only had 2 bits of broccoli and 3 small carrot bits. We had a bit of courgete and green beans too but wasn’t enough for 3 really and by the time we had our table checked it was too late to say anything. Just a small thing, we love it here and will be back.
