Food was lovely, service was good. Sadly our booking coincided with a noisy hoard of people attending a gin lunch. Had I known, I would not have booked. Had real problems talking to guests and ended up with a headache.

Enjoyed the Sunday roast. Plenty of meat and good selection and quantity of vegetables. Thought the desserts were a little pricey. We sat near a largish party so noise level was high

Biggest plus is that quality never varies, another good meal.

We sat outside in the garden which is a great little sun trap. The food was really lovely and the cost was reasonable. There is plenty of parking at the back

Excellent visit, very pleasant staff, a warm welcome. Very busy but still plenty of time for the customers and we didn't feel rushed. A lovely setting within the old Hercules restauant/pub. We will visit again.

Lovely decor, good service ... nice range of food for lunchtime menu and all clearly home cooked

Service was slow... Seemed understaffed.Only one poor girl who was behind the bar and trying to serve and clear tables at the same time. When we had finished our meal it was 20 mins before someone cleared them.

Excellent food, but watch what you order if selecting any 'specials', as the menu is confusing as to what is included in any deal and what is not. No doubt they will rectify this.

Excellent service from start to finish. The food was delicious as always and staff are very friendly and we was lucky enough to speak to the chef as he came out to our table towards the end of the evening. Very clean restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.
